love the flavor on the other ones but this has to be the one imho. i think theres not really much emphasis on justice UNTIL the rites, and the disconnection ritual, but considering the rites would

make up a LOT of the roleplay in this magic’s communities/rships hopefully ur greentag brothers say yes.

either way i think enforxing a subjective value like “justice” by writing it into spells is 1. hard and 2. stupid

This is what I can honestly see coming out of a magic closely inspired by DND Clerics. Although justice plays a larger role in the ritual magic, I feel that the rituals are perfect for it.

Perhaps add a mental effect for Clerics to always be seeking out justice in the world, be constantly skeptical of everyone besides their fellow Clerics, taking people’s words more literal (which would be funny), or always hold people to their word to play more into the Justice theme of Tahariae.

I would love to interact with this version of a Tahariae Magic and/or wield it in the future!

Hmu if you wanna grandfather some folks into this!

The connection ritual will disconnect a student from Dark or Deific magics similar to the ritual Funerary Flame, though this comes at a cost. If a character with a Dark or Deific magic is connected, they permanently lose [2] magic slots as a portion of their soul is painfully burnt away.

i have a question as to how this works, is this two slots in addition to slots already lost to dark magic or does this set consumed slots to two (as some dark magics permanently consume slots). For example a Naztherack can pact up to four slots that are permanently eaten. Would this basically cleanse two of their 4 pacted slots, and allow them to connect?

This feels way too memey/ripe for abuse/combat-focused to really feel like it matches everything else in the clericbowl. I cannot think of any other magic that openly supports murderhobing your foes to then perform a rite on them to make them suffer for a OOC week, nor any circumstance where that's beneficial to any RP beyond OOC grudge-holding.
