A Celebration in the Desert

The fine salty breeze rolled along the Rio de Zafiros, drifting past celebrations within the Fontezar Gentry Household. Mery voices spoke amongst one another, perhaps a banquet at play. It was then the Waltz began, the rolling sound of uncanny wind instruments finding their way to the Household.

Then, they came into view. An undead orchestra, if it could even be stated as such. Symphonic puppets formed into vague instruments, playing Violins with the sounds of Death Whistles lashed out from their skulls.

The party came under siege, a waltz of war between the living and the forces of undeath. As foes clashed, fires broke out within the building. A crescendo in its own right, the sounds of that dreaded orchestra amplified by the burning building.

By the end of the night, the Fontezar Gentry Household was no more, and within it the remains of a formerly injured Salazar.

Pricilla Fontesar left the night with burns marring the young childs form, and a hard-gotten half-scorched cat by the name of Beastie. Traumatized, that was for certain - she twisted and turned with cries and screams in the clinic, plagued by nightmares of what happened. Her childhood home in flames, her father dragged away and peoples screams as they burned.. It would haunt her.

[!] The day had been scorched with the remnants of the yellow house left to ruin. The Fontesars had returned to the city to help their wounds and worry over the future. There was little doubt that they would ever forget this.

Cirilla slumped down beside her child's cot, her husband acrost the way. None of them had escaped without scars.

Questions lingered, How long until they were burned again?
