((I think if we want a proper blacksmith, we'll need someone who can put 70 points into blacksmithing then train their sword skills, as it takes 70 points In blacksmithing to reapir diamond I think. Of course the blacksmith would save the guard a HUGE amount of money and would likely be paid a lot - youd need 5 diamonds to repair a set as a sword, rather than 26. ))

i would send one recruit to high ground or any other tactical position to await my order. another i would place out of the way but close enough to see what is happening. i would then approach the bandits and state taht their being there is illegal and give them 2 chances to move. if they do not, the out of the way recruit would run back to get reincforcements, while me and the recruit in the tactical position would begin to issue warnings of violence. if however they do surrender, we would take them to the closest hold, and place them under arrest. the judgement would be taken by the highest ranking guard around.
