THE HOUSE OF ARKENT IS immensely proud of the accomplishments of its scions. It is an honor that three members of the House sit upon the Duana, with those members being ESFIR ARTEMISIA D’ARKENT, Duchess of Sunholdt & Amiratus of Balian, ACHILLIUS D’ARKENT, Heir to Sunholdt & Constable of Balian, and ALEKSANDR D’ARKENT, Procurator of Balian.

WITH THESE THREE D’ARKENTS SITTING upon the Duana, the Duchy of Sunholdt would like to announce the opening of wardships within our esteemed family. Anyone, regardless of their birth realm so long as it is Canonist, is welcome to be taken under the mentorship of the Duchy, and is invited to reach out to the Duchess-Amiratus, Constable-Heir, or Procurator.

I. THE AMIRATUS

Her Royal Excellency, ESFIR ARTEMISIA D’ARKENT, Amiratus of Balian & Duchess of Sunholdt

AS THE HEAD OF THE Royal Duana, the Amiratus holds the heavy responsibility of overseeing and maintaining all of Balian’s governmental departments. To stand at the head of the Duana requires great administrative capabilities, communication skills, and time management. Additionally, diplomacy is paramount in dealing with affairs of the state, both internal and international. Furthermore, Her Royal Excellency acts as the chief advisor to the Crown, which requires wisdom and insight to properly aid the King in matters of governance.

ALONG WITH HER DUTIES AS Amiratus, Her Royal Excellency also rules over her family and the DUCHY OF SUNHOLDT, having held the title in her own right for a decade. To oversee the land granted to HOUSE D’ARKENT demands knowledge in household and financial management, as well as strong leadership skills. Furthermore, to lead a House requires skills of diplomacy and charisma in order to uphold the reputation of one’s family and to interact with other noble houses.

II. THE CONSTABLE

His Excellency, ACHILLIUS ‘THE YOUNGER’ D’ARKENT, Constable of Balian & Heir to Sunholdt

AT THE FOREFRONT OF THE Regiment of St. Lothar is none other than its chief commander, the Constable. The Constable is charged with the maintenance and upkeep of the military, recruiting and training soldiers, and the supervision of all other mercenaries. In addition, they are expected to assist in taking charge of Balian’s forces during raids, invasions, or battles.

IN ADDITION, HIS EXCELLENCY HAS been well educated to prepare for his succession to the Duchy of Sunholdt. Like the current head of house, the heir to Sunholdt must exhibit strong leadership and estate management skills. In the case that the head of house is incapacitated, the heir is expected to act as the Duke-Regent until the recovery of the Matriarch.

III. THE PROCURATOR

His Excellency, ALEKSANDR KONSTANTIN D’ARKENT, Procurator of Balian

THE PROCURATOR HEADS THE DEPARTMENT of the Treasury, and acts as the chief financial advisor of the Realm. They primarily manage Balian’s tax office, ensure all debts are paid, and assist in the fundraising and funding of the other Duana offices and projects sponsored by them. Additionally, they oversee Balian’s clerks and real estate department to help citizens and merchants obtain necessary properties.
