Mons Avarson sat by the hearth within his home, the chair beside him achingly empty.  Grim satisfaction came over his face as he read. The man pondered to his lonesome, "Justice is not a force of nature— it is good people. Though it may be slow acting, it is inevitable." Mons then stood—since when had his joints begun to ache?—and left to show Elsii'mah the news.

"What a great day to be a hater of both Balian and Alba." Thought someone who was unaware of the d'Arkent's own sentiments as he read over the parchment.

In the Hold of Vuillermoz, Yelena Vasileia Vuiller tightly clutches the missive, her brows furrowing in anger. “Nothing can excuse negligence on violent acts committed against the subjects of a nation you so consider a ‘friend.’ I hope those de Savoie boys are faring well, same for that elven girl, I cannot imagine how they must’ve felt when being attacked by the men of that vassal.” She’d mutter out. Releasing a heavy sigh, the woman would then pad towards her shrine dedicated to Saint James II, clasping her hands together in prayer, for her nation, for her sister, and her brother-in-law.

"So it was one of their own! yet they so vehemently denied it so each time I was there" Astrid said, as she resoluted to support the balians in this.

"and poor de Savoies boys, they barely reached 16 summers and already have to fight these bandits"

"Disappointing that the Albans would behave in such an idiotic manner..." Caliope mused from her home in the March of Kazan, reading the missive the King of her home put out. She shook her head, certain that such relations were rocky, though she was never truly trustworthy of the Albans.

The aforementioned maimed ‘ker child peered down at the missive, though remained relatively silent. Elsii’mah reached a hand up to pick at her left ear- or lack thereof, picking, and picking at the scab, at the air where the other half of her ear was vacant. She however felt some level of reassurance, that the Kingdom of Balian was not taking this lightly in the slightest. Although unexpressed, as many of her emotions were these days, anger broiled within. A seeping, awful rage.

But nevertheless, unexpressed it would remain.
