winterblood 11181 Popular Post Share Posted March 28, 2025 Spoiler Across Aevos, a missive spreads - telling of a new construction. . . The Gray Library ⋅──────────────────⊱༺ ❅ ༻⊰──────────────────⋅ “Knowledge begets Wisdom” ⋅──────────────────⊱༺ ❅ ༻⊰──────────────────⋅ Where minds are made weary under the strain of shadow’s struggle to overcome life, efforts must still be maintained to thwart the mists which seek to consume clarity and scatter wisdom. Our minds are to be clouded, our judgements cast askew, and our understanding of our histories left unraveled and forgotten. In the recent generations, there’s been a notable decline in both archiving and learning; in the noble pursuit of seeking the answers to our questions of the world. Cataclysmic events which have shaken our realm and left altering ripples across existence have come to pass, and yet few have raised their heads in wonder; and even less seek to document these stories to ensure they do not remain lost. They are treated more like prized secrets, hoarded for nothing if not a vain sense of pride for having witnessed and known what all else shall not. It is patterns as these that ensure mortalkind shall only fester, and become less than the shadows formed by the Four Brothers. The Gray Library seeks to remedy this error; to stand as a guiding pillar for like-minded scholars eager to both learn and share knowledge. All are welcomed into the library, as long as they are not servants of the Abyss nor the Hells. Those who wish to obtain a book from our shelves need only donate one that the Library does not yet possess. Signed, Princess Zofiya of Galahar IGN: winterblood Dragomir, Son of Arvellas, Sword of Zofiya IGN: M1919 OOC: Spoiler I’ve missed doing library stuff. I used to lead Dragur Library during Axios and was sad to leave it in the next map due to computer issues. With Zofiya, the opportunity of coming to form something new opened up with the RP I’ve been doing and I dove headfirst in pursuit of it. It’s been both fun and exhausting to get everything ready, and I'm still not finished! The library can be found on the live server, where I have around half of my collection on display - the rest is going up within the next few days while I juggle IRL priorities. I’m proud to say that the library has around 300+ books already, and I hope it’ll only grow. Something with this project I am wanting to encourage is for people to make more use of MC Books for documenting and publishing information rather than relying solely on the forums. It’s immersive and exciting to encounter books that have existed for actual IRL years! There’s no discord made for the library yet, but if people are interested in one I can change that.
Frostdrop1 1843 Share Posted March 28, 2025 Reinhard took a notable interest in one of the missives as he stepped by. He gave a flicker of a glance over the work, then the slimest of smiles graced his dull features. A library for all. Education for all. Perhaps that was part of what he was missing in his life.
Xarkly 17299 Share Posted March 28, 2025 In the sloping highlands, a young sheep-herder peers up the fresh-cut stone of the library, perched stop the hill amidst a tide of trees He wonders what lies up there. Moreover, he wonders where that is where his missing sheep has wandered off to.
PrimnyaQuorum 4003 Share Posted March 28, 2025 The Librarian briefly considers the paper, committing it to memory. A wonderful notion; though as his gaze pans over the swamps before him, it occurs to him that such a trip would be for another day
Chimeraof1999 1191 Share Posted March 28, 2025 The narcoleptic woman would take this missive, a massive smile dawning on her face; "Bountiful knowledge. . I can't wait to gain entry to this beautiful place. . ."
ydegirl 2357 Share Posted March 28, 2025 The Castrogiovanni had grown rather quiet the past few days -- with the passing of her husband, Mary had found herself at a loss. She spent most of her days wandering the emptied halls of the estate, dragging her fingers along the cracks in the cobble walls. On a trip to the City of Elizabeth, Mary had found the missive -- perhaps by fate, or perhaps because it flew right into her face on a rather windy day. She whacked her face, grabbing at the paper wildly until she dragged it off her face. Perhaps, Mary thought, wiping her face of any dirt or grub, I will write to this Zofiya.
