The Councilors of Celia’nor have made their stance clear. Claiming that the Mah’nel family is unworthy of nobility. Yet it is easy to cast judgment from your ivory towers, looking down upon our pack with disdain, untouched by the burdens we bear. While you sat behind silken curtains and polished floors, we stood in the dirt, in the trenches of diplomacy, answering the call when others remained silent.

When our family rose to rally for our people, to reclaim the trust and diplomacy that you so readily abandoned, where were you? I did not see you in the pits, where words were forged into unity. I did not see you in the meetings, where tensions were soothed and futures shaped. You were absent when alliances were built, not with titles, but with sweat, sacrifice, and honest effort.

You speak of worth, but we have lived it. We have earned it, not through inherited privilege, but through action, presence, and unwavering loyalty. Let the truth be known: nobility is not worn, it is proven.

The Council of Celia’nor has committed a grave injustice. Accusing our matriarch, Ember Mah’nel of treason against the Crown. And for what, we ask? For being taken captive during a time of war? Is this the new measure of loyalty? That a soldier, a leader, a mother who suffers in the line of duty is branded a traitor for circumstances beyond her control?

Tell me, has the council not only lost its wisdom, but its sight as well?

Where were you when Ember lay injured, broken and bloodied, her body failing her? You turned your faces away. You denied her aid, abandoned her in her time of need. She was forced to mend her wounds alone, and when she could no longer stand, it was her own daughter who cared for her, who sat vigil beside her bed as her life slipped between each breath.

You, who claim to uphold justice and loyalty, you dared to stay silent then, but find your voice now to condemn her?

It is not our matriarch who has betrayed the realm. It is you who have betrayed your duty to protect your own. Remember this: titles mean nothing without honor, and power is hollow without compassion.

The Council of Celia’nor has denied the Mah’nel family the titles and honors we have rightfully earned, through sacrifice, through loyalty, through unwavering service to our people. Instead, they cast our efforts aside and throw our hardships back in our faces.

Rather than recognize the blood we’ve spilled and the bonds we’ve forged, they choose to wield our past against us, as a weapon, not of justice, but of suppression. They seek to silence our legacy, threatening us into submission, demanding we hide the truth of our heritage, of our standing, as if the title of Prince were something to be ashamed of, rather than worn with pride.

But let them hear this clearly: We will not be silenced. We will not cower beneath the weight of their fear driven decrees. Our worth is not defined by the land we lost, but by the strength with which we endure. Nobility is not stripped by decree, it is upheld by action, honor, and memory.

The memory of the Mah’nel name will not be buried.

When calls for justice are raised before the Council, they do not answer with clarity or conviction. No, what we are met with is not the swift hand of justice, but the careless wave of indifference, a feeble banner of “whatever” in place of righteous action.

For too long, We have stood before this system, pleading for fairness, for due process, for accountability, for truth to triumph over pride. For just as long, we have grown weary. Weary of watching justice be reduced to convenience, weary of watching the council turn their heads, bury their hands, and dress apathy in the robes of governance.

Is this the justice we are meant to believe in? A system where silence is louder than truth, where duty is ignored and grievances left unanswered?

We tire not because we have lost hope, but because I have carried this fight alone for too long. Yet, still, we speak. Still, we will press forward, because justice is not something to be begged for. It is something to be demanded.

Once again, the Council of Celia’nor has cast false accusations upon our bloodline, this time targeting the heir, Jari'el, with charges of adultery. But I must ask, are you all blind?

It is not Jari'el who has wronged her betrothed, but the other way around! It is not she who has betrayed the vows of loyalty and trust, but those who would dare speak such falsities against her and the house she represents.

You accuse not one, not two, but multiple esteemed members of our family, casting aspersions without evidence, without honor, and without shame. You choose to perpetuate lies rather than seek the truth. You dishonor not just Jari'el, but the entire Mah’nel bloodline with your reckless words.

Have you forgotten the bonds we’ve built? The history we’ve forged? Or do you simply turn your backs on the truth to mask your own failures? The weight of your accusations does not change the truth, it only reveals your cowardice in facing it.

If accusing Ember and Jari'el were not enough, if the slander upon their names was insufficient to quench your thirst for dishonor, no, you stoop lower still. Now, you dare to slander the name of our esteemed founder, the father of the Mah’nel, and our own flesh and blood. Luciiael, one of your own nobles and those who sit upon your council, has seen fit to tarnish the legacy of the very man who aided in building the foundation upon which your power now rests.

It is you who turned your back on Jarad, denying him justice at the hands of Luciiael’s wickedness. It is you who have refuted the ways of honor, rejected our righteous calls for justice, and instead fed the fires of lies and manipulation.

Where is your sense of duty? Where is your loyalty to the truth? You have abandoned it for the sake of convenience, for the sake of maintaining your false order. But the Mah’nel name will not be silenced, and our founder’s legacy will not be desecrated without consequence.

Your councilors speak dishonor upon yet another of our kin. When will it end for you?

Linde, Aspin, Siyala, Lenna and Amber, proud members of the Mah'nel family, has been accused of various crimes, of disrespecting your nobles and tarnishing the reputation of this council. But I must ask you this: Did they ever earn the respect they claim? Did they ever truly deserve it?

What honor have they shown to be worthy of such respect? And what justice have they offered to those who have borne the weight of their cruelty? You accuse Linde, Aspin, Siyala, Lenna and Amber,, but I ask you: Who are the real offenders here?

You tarnish our family’s name, our legacy, with these falsehoods, and for what? To maintain power? To silence those who dare to speak the truth?

It is not Linde, Aspin, Siyala, Lenna or Amber who have brought shame upon us, it is your council, in its reckless pursuit of control, that stains the honor of the Mah'nel.

When, I ask, will the mouth of your council finally tire? When will it finally rest?

You have not only slandered myself, Jarad, and Jari'el, but you go beyond that, no, you dare to stain the name of Estinian Mah'nel, a beloved and honored member of our family. You speak wicked words, words as venomous as they are deep. Words that seek to tear apart the very fabric of our legacy, to erase the honor of those who have given their lives to this realm.

Do you believe that your words will go unnoticed? That your slander can simply be cast aside like dust in the wind? You forget, there are those who know the truth, who remember the sacrifices, the dedication, the love of the Mah'nel. We will not stand idly by while you attempt to bury that truth with lies.

You have dragged our family’s name through the mud, and yet you think you will face no consequence? The truth, no matter how deep you bury it, will rise. And when it does, it will expose you for what you truly are: a council lost to its own wickedness.

And thus, the wound goes deeper still. Theo after so long apart, after returning to us with little to no memory, it was your council once more who sought to take him away from us, convincing him that he was not of our blood, that he did not belong to the Mah'nel.

Have you no honor left? No sense of justice? No shame in your actions?

You would deny him his rightful place in our family, tear him from the very roots of his heritage, and twist his mind with falsehoods and doubt. This is the same council that would rather see division than unity, that would rather sow chaos than allow the truth of our bloodline to remain intact.

Is this the justice you claim to uphold? A justice that fractures families, that disregards loyalty and kinship? We do not seek the path of conflict, but your actions force our hand to defend what is rightfully ours.

Your Diraar speaks often of honor, of duty, of righteousness. And yet, where was that honor when it was truly needed? Where was that duty when Xavier Adiler, grandson of Jarad Mah’nel, son of Ember Mah’nel, and husband to Ponce Mah’nel, lay extremely injured, death calling him in front of your very gate?

In his most vulnerable moments, you did not come to his aid. You, who claim to defend the people, who boast of your courage and your oaths, you did not fetch your men. You did not call upon your knights. You did not rise to the occasion. Instead, you hid behind your words. You hurled insults at your foes, as though that would shield a dying man from death itself.

And who was it that showed true humanity? Who gave him comfort and dignity? Not the Diraar. No, it was Haelun’or, and it was Mirunisse Mah’nel. The very ones you so often treat with contempt offered him mercy and aid, while you, so proud in your self-image of valor, offered nothing but silence and shame. Where is your respect for your fellow man? Where is your honor now?

ON DEMANDS

Give us answers. Give us justice. Give us what we are owed.

You have wronged us, and you have wronged every member of the Mah'nel family. You have placed shame upon those who have only sought to honor this land, to protect its future. And so, before we move forward:

We demand one thing above all else: an apology, one that is not whispered in secrecy but spoken publicly, before the people of Celia’nor, an apology issued to every Mah'nel that has been wronged.

We demand that a formal apology be issued to Xavier Adiler by the Modular of the Diraar. Let it be known; words are not enough to mend the wound left by your inaction, but acknowledgment is the first step toward redemption.

Furthermore, we call for those involved in the  shameful display with Xavier, to be instructed, no, reminded, of what honor truly means. Let them be taught the meaning of duty, of courage, and of standing for one's fellow man, not in speech alone, but in deed. If the Diraar wishes to speak of righteousness, then let them first live by it.

We demand a apologie to every member of our family that you have tarnished, to every soul you have cast aside with falsehoods, to every name you have sullied in your pursuit of power and division.

Once this is done, once justice is served, then and only then shall we speak again. Until then, know this: we will not stand idle in the face of dishonor. We will not be silent until our family’s name is restored and our rights acknowledged.

ON WAR

We, the Mah'nel, humbly and respectfully ask the nations of the Horenic Covenant and the Holy League to refrain from involving themselves in the current dispute between our family and the Council of Celia’nor. This matter is one of internal governance, and it does not pertain to matters of war or international conflict.

We understand the concerns that may arise from such tensions, but we assure you that this is a matter that must be resolved through our own means. We ask that you respect us in this regard, and allow us the space to address our differences without external interference by trying to drag us onto one side or the other.

The Mah'nel family values its relationships with all of our allies, and we believe in maintaining peace and respect for all. This dispute, while important to us, is not one that requires the involvement of outside forces at the moment.

The Mah’nel family will still rally for the defense of Haense, Petra, Balian, Reinmar and Hyspia as is our duty. However we shall not raise a sword for Celia’nor until our demands are met.

ON ACTION

For those councilors who wish to call this a rebellion or a revolution, allow the words of our father to soothe your anxious minds and bring clarity to your misguided judgments:

"We seek not the heart of Celia’nor. We seek our city, our land, and for the time, we shall rest. Do not march upon us, for if you do, we shall react with the fangs you will regret."

These words are not a threat, but a promise. A promise that we, the Mah'nel, will not stand idly by while our rights, our heritage, and our future are stolen. We seek peace, we seek restoration, but we will not cower in the face of injustice.

So let it be known, should you choose the path of aggression, you will find that our resolve is as sharp as the fangs we bear. This is not a war, do not make it one.

Mahn'els and Council on each other's bad side? "Well well well, both sides two of the reasons why the Starland is the way it is today." The missive was ignited by blue flame, quickly fizzling what it washed over. "I lament for Aganar, for he is surrounded by this blight on all sides." The blue fire was patted away, the partially mangled missive handed to one of her recognized aviaries and sent forth, a signed name not necessary due to its distinct appearance indicating its owner. As light dimmed upon her quarters due to the quelled flame, the aviary flew a long distance over the torrential downpour that washed the south.

No, I was accused of treason by the Royarch and Jarad Mah'nel, and I subsequently left since pushing me out of Celia'nor appears to be what was desired. I haven't been on their council in like a decade now. Anything that's been done to you or any moves against you are sorely the result of someone else's schemes. Goodluck?
