The sun hung low as Roger of Bourdon rode through the smoke-wreathed pines, the clash with the Balian outriders still fresh on his armor, his tabard torn and spattered blood not wholly his own. The men cheered low and weary as they limped back into the campsite upon the border. Roger spotted his young squire, breathless and with a parchement inhand. He dismounted and took the scroll, and read it in silence. At last, he returned a gaze to John (@Radzig), voice riveted with iron tones. "Let the enemy revel in their minor triumphs, Blood for Ashford."
