hey guys what's up it's me moth.

i got bored so i'm doing an AMA- i joined the server for the first time in june of 2020, played for a week in oren and got bored, and then rejoined because a friend started playing in june of 2023. by the end of that year, i was in governments, knights, etc etc, and then by this time last year, i was NL of petra. so, hit me. ask me whatever you'd like, if we're friends, if we've never spoken, if you don't like me, whatever you want.

i was gonna put an image here but supposedly i've used all my attachment space! enjoy.

what book/video game/tv show/any media has been the most formative in how you've developed your rp?

also, i like asking this one

were there ever any big "inflection points" during your time on here? moments that you can look back to and say "if I had does this differently, then things would be way different from how they are now"

oh god i have a few, depending on the character- but wilford and adalia are closest to my heart by far.

for wilford, it had to be getting stabbed in haense LOL he was like twenty at the time, and stanislaw (OGs remember) wanted a cursed child dead, ordered the BSK to do it. wilford got in the way arguing that the kid was like 7 years old and clearly did not CHOOSE to be the way he was, and dared the guard to stab him and prove how corrupt the BSK was. and he did :] the wonderful sarahbarah ended up pardoning the kid after he was arrested by the BSK and that's how wilford befriended amaya of venzia

for adalia, it was DEFINITELY when she received michael's blessing. she'd been training her entire life for it, and she knew it was what she wanted to do from a very young age. it felt so satisfying for both my ooc and irp work to pay off. shoutout to turkey, i miss u bro.

i was a big percy jackson kid, and that definitely influenced my writing style as a whole since i've been doing creative writing from a very young age, but more recently i'd have to say games like the last of us, red dead redemption, baldur's gate, dragon age, etc have massively influenced my style as well, from dialogue to narration. personally, i'm really proud of my writing on this server and i think it's helped me improve overall.

as for inflection points, there's quite a few, especially from my time as NL over those 29 weeks. i won't get into detail about the specific instance i mean but i definitely should have put my foot down instead of letting things take its course. and of course there were a few things in the heartlands but uh, that period sucked massively anyways so i think that's more of a "if ANYTHING had been done differently things could have been way worse"

I hadn't gotten to know you particularly well before you ascended to Queendom on Adalia, so forgive me for any lack of Wilford-based questions.

Getting to play a NL - particularly a pretty traditional Royal - did you receive any advice from other players that helped you get into the character and the role both IRP and OOC that you would like to pass down now, for future NLs. And, in a similar vein, is there anything you picked up on your own that you would pass down to a potential NL?

You've mostly played humans so far (assuming this Elowyn person in your signature is an Elf?) - is there any race, basic or CA, that you secretly wish you could get into, but haven't found the time or passion for yet?

it's fine wilford is older than dirt anyways

as for NLship, i was offered the character by my friend zaerie who was NL at the time, and had been for majority of my time in petra. really, it was just an offer to play one of their kids, which i was thrilled to do, until it became an offer to be NL. so, i don't really have much advice there- i was kinda drawn from a hat. it came with the offer than hom, my irl partner, would be my consort (and they were! we're a package deal) and that we'd run the petra half of the heartlands- you can see how that ended LOL. but it was stressful, i won't lie. being NL was probably one of the roughest periods on my mental health i've had to deal with, especially with the heartlands crisis taking place over my birthday (at least i was turning old enough to drink). my biggest advice? rely on your team. not entirely, of course, you have to be self sufficient, but TAKE HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT. do NOT try to shoulder everything, but also do not pass so many things off. there has to be balance. do not sacrifice yourself, but don't sacrifice your team. and don't take anyone's shit.

elowyn is actually a human! she's an adunian, technically. i've played a few elves but haven't been able to get into the community (no hate to y'all). i've ALWAYS wanted to play a cursed child, since i first started on the server, but the chance has never arisen. if it ever presented itself i would ******* LEAP to do so, i love the concept, i love the designs, i love them.
