Seeking Disciples: The Way of Malin

[The Order of Malin 93]

We know but one King, and his name is Malin

sirame ito kae'leh, nae oroment, llir’Malinor. Peace be upon you, in grace and breath, children of Malin.

Over two centuries have passed since Malin last spoke prophecy to me—when I foretold the age of Elven bloodshed and genocide at the hands of Celian'or. Yet even through our defiance, our King has not abandoned us.

Now, Malin has spoken again. But this time, his message is not for all of Elvendom. I am to take no more than three disciples in The Way. To them alone, in time, will his new prophecy be revealed.

If you feel called, write to me on this pronouncement with intent and sincerity and justify your discipleship. This is no light path. Discipleship under me may span a century or more. But within that time, you will be taught of the Numen, of Malinor, and of the King himself. You will uncover forgotten mysteries, long buried beneath time and silence.
 

Disciples should expect a life of austerity, hardship, and deep study. You will face trials that test the spirit, mind, and body alike. You will be shaped into one who is as skilled with the quill as with the blade—self-sufficient, disciplined, and unwavering.

All of this, that you may one day be worthy to hear His voice… and carry His message into the world

 

Only two requirements exist: you must be Mali, and you must be serious in your commitment to The Way. Reading The Chorus of Literature beforehand is encouraged, though mastery is not expected.

Aylan nae osulier, my name is Elkash Venlen. I'm currently a citizen of Petra.

I have read the pronouncement you posted, and I must say I am quite interested in learning about our great king, Malin.

 

I have some experience in combat, and most importantly I am an Mali myself. I am confident that I can bring some value to your order. I'm truly eager to learn about the history of Mali, the language of Mali, and of course, the way of Malin. The reason why I'm interested is that I left the elven realm when I was young, and I wasn't able to gain much knowledge about our famed culture of elves..

 

I'm hoping to change that by joining your order. I am eager to learn, will work hard, and grow with the order's fellow disciples. I would welcome the opportunity to have a word with you soon. When a certain Mali heard of the order, he found himself curious and drawn to learning of such elven ways, expecially that of Malin. He wasted no time in writing up a letter, hoping to send it off to the author.

 

" My name is Mahtë Elverhilin, a mali who resides within the walls of Caurost. The persuit of knowledge of all forms hass always been a teaching passed down through my family and it does not stop with me. Learning of not only our Mali history but of Malin himself would be an honor I would never take for granted as my knoweldge ofboth is limited.

I have trained in combat with swords and spear like weapons, as they are my profeciency, though the urge to learn more weapon types always lingers. My training has taken up most of my life but I still feel like i can become better both in body and mind.

Should there still be a position open, i would like to be one of these disciples.

“I write with interest, in both The Way and the historical teachings that may be both learned and passed On. The history of the Mali’ is lost to many, including myself to a degree, and such isn't recovered through sitting idly. 

 

It is the quill that I struggle with most, and seek the discipline in which one may learn to better themselves. This pen shan't beg, nor will it be used to write vainglory on why it should be me, yet there is foolishness in leaving such an opportunity unspoken for.”

When I lived my years among the Valah I did come to know the true hearts of the Valah and the lonely path to walk as Malin did even amongst our own kind. I will teach of the richness of the Mali soul, to be a venerable immortal amongst the descendants races.
