Important News and Events - Haelun’ors Local and Global news column

 

Such a long absence would oftentimes warrant quite a bit of news; alas, most of our news has all been quite recent.

 

The Leyu'sil tribunal reached a heated peak when Aganar Silveira refused to accept the initial sentence of the path to purity and community service. It was then found out he was either related to or possibly courting a brown-haired elf who was clearly impure. Both were the first elves to be executed by volcano in Valindra's tenure. 

 

Haelun'or claims victory against Celia'nor after having led skirmishes against it. The nation is properly disbanded after well over a century of strained relations. Brows have been raised at the Sohaer Valindra Liavyre, however, as while she played a vital role in the downfall and destruction of the Starlandic capital, she too was partially responsible for its creation.

 

So too in recent times have our Balianite neighbours fallen by State and Canonist hand. The Kingdoms of Burgundy, Norland and Numendil, as well as the Silver State of Haelun’or, Rexdom of Krugistan and, to a minor extent, our elven cousins of Caurost, lay waste to their capital. Good riddance, we at the Gazette say!

 

Eradus has become the new Okarir'maehr. He was a well-known soldier during the Sohearite era under the late Othelu Orrar.

 

Our Sohaer’s tenure has been a prosperous one, yet one abundant in controversies, the Gazette can’t help but wonder what will come next…

 

Whispers in the Wind - Haelun’ors gossip column

Whispers have been circulating among the Blessed Citizenry that the Sohaer herself has been seen partaking in bold skirmishes against both Starlanders and Balianites alike. It is said that the Maheral has deployed her Honor Guard to keep the controversial laurir from putting her neck on the line only for her to sneak past their watch. While many past Sohaers have been content observing from their ivory towers, it seems that Sohaer Valindra is a woman of direct action. After all, if you want a job done right, it is best done by one’s self.

 

After over two centuries of inactivity, the famous [or perhaps to some, rather the opposite] talonnii of Visaj have made their return. Octavius Visaj, while not the patriarch of his famed lineage, seems to be heading his bloodline’s public appearances and more active participation in elcihithilln.

 

The talented Musin chefs recruited by elmaheral have invented a new Haelun’orian delicacy, which they have dubbed ‘pizza’. It consists of a flat dough base, layered with tomato sauce, cheese and a wide variety of topics. Woe betide the poor impure soul who requests pineapple on their pizza, for doing so is considered both a violation of the sanctity of purity and a means of incurring the vicious wrath of our musin residents.

 

An Interview with Theveus Sythaerin…

Tell us about yourself.
I am Okarir’tir Theveus Sythaerin, Former Sohaer and former Okarir’tir as this is my second time around. My wife is Cresence Sythaerin, We’ve three kids, Leyu, Lenniel, and Liewyn.

 

What are your inspirations with your work?
I simply just want what the best is for Haelun’or, before I retire I aspire to see it as bustling with life as can be, while also giving it a strong Sillumiran to protect its walls.

 

What are some things you would want to change, given the chance?
There are too many things to list within a small interview. However, I am doing many projects to help attain those goals.

 

Do you have any close friends, and who might they be?
My closest friend is of course my wife, Cresence, however outside of that I play a lot of Deathroll with the Sohaer.

 

How tall are you?
I am 6’1, I am not small, I simply look like that because the rest of my family are giants.

An intellectual and skilled Magus of the void, Eradus rose in prominence within the Silver State under the Sohaership of Othelu Orrar as a member of elsillumiran. Following a prolonged sojourn to a life of seclusion, he has finally decided to grace elcihi’thilln with his presence once more. This veteran’s wit is as sharp as his blade and as potent as his spellcraft. Our new Okarir’maehr finds enjoyment in studies and activities requiring intellect- a true example of the superior mali’thill mind.  Potential bachelorettes should be warned that despite his age, he has never publicly engaged in courtship. We suspect he may have a deep-rooted fear of women. Will any of our lovely ladies win the heart of this brooding hearthrob?

 

Valazaer Calith

A longstanding figure in elcihi’thilln, Valazaer Calith is a mali who’s seemingly untameable anger may only be soothed through the companionship of a woman [or man, both are legal now!]. A mage of the sword, Valazaer finds himself spending much of his free time engaging in acts of violence, huffing and scowling. Word on the street this bachelor claims to be retired, though often accompanies elsillumiran as an unofficial auxiliary on offensive missions.

 

Octavius Visaj

A man of undeniably silver lineage, Octavius hails from the ahtalonnii Visaj, who have seen a number of prominent members such as the retired [if now exceedingly senile] diarchist paragon, Dimaethor Visaj and late Okarir’maehr Odessa. A mali that often keeps to himself outside of hosting decadent tea-parties and manning his shop, the Gazette has been unable to uncover what he may enjoy doing outside of performing his duties to the state. Despite his apparent blandness, his esteemed and highly regarded bloodline make him one of Haelun’or’s most coveted bachelors.

 

Valindra Liavyre

It may come as a surprise to many that our Sohaer of ill-proportioned nasal structure is available. While she claims she is ‘married to her duties’, there may be room in this ‘thill’s heart for something [or someone] other than the Silver State. Stoic, distant and often seemingly above pursuits of the heart, we at the Gazette believe that the right mali could easily remedy elsohaer’s crippling loneliness. One need only look past her overly-sized nose and into her eyes to see the reflection of a cold, anguished soul that needs some warmth…

 

Vivien Fi’talareh

Mentioned before in one of our past editions, Miss Vivien has carved herself a prestigious new name through adoption into the ahtalonii of Fi’talareh, the line of our esteemed Maheral. Vivien has been unfortunate with pursuits of romance, with most of her interests vanishing under mysterious circumstances. One cannot help but wonder if this charming lari may know more about the vanishing of her suitors than what initially meets the eye. Suitors are advised to remain on Vivien’s good side, else it may not be the wrath of elmaheral that is solely incurred.

Acalmaehr sat in his room reading the missive "Valindra?! Single?! We are happily married in fact!" The elf took time to ponder and read through the rest of the missive. "And even then, my limitless prowess is still not even registered on there! So that is how it is, the missive has divorced us and only she is apparently allowed to partner! Am I simply dust to them all now?"
