SEDE VACANTE OF THE HOLY OFFICE

IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2041

 

The world’s faithful can take a breath of relief that the Leviticus pontificate has met its rightful end through a vote in the ecumenical council held in the Holy See on Lemon Hill. The vote, taking from the precedence of past instances and consisting of all gathered priests including Leviticus, resulted in a majority vote against Leviticus and his mandate. Let it be known that any attempt from Callahan, formerly known as Leviticus, Harrentzedek, Fleeperus, etc. to administer as if he were High Pontiff or an equivalent head of faith is illegitimate as he has been removed formally and legitimately. By the will of the joint priesthood in their holy wisdom as given by our Lord God, the seat of High Pontiff has been made sede vacante. That is to say, it is now vacant and requires an election to appoint a new High Pontiff. Many words were left unsaid, and many were overshared. I shall say my piece that I did not have the opportunity to say for it is important as the future of our priesthood propels forward.

 

 As we venture forth, we must remember that as mere creations of our Lord Father, we are fallible. The humblest farmer is as fallible as the crowned king. The sons of spirit and so forth are no exception. God came and rebuked the sons of spirit when they did wrong, and so too should we rebuke each other when we do wrong. That is His grace and mercy. We are servants of God foremost. To preserve His word. To unite the faithful under Him. The former pontificate may have founded an empire. That may be commendable in its own right. In doing so however, it has turned the faithful against each other. It has sullied His virtue and word, misrepresenting it and equating it with fear. Our faith is not based in fear. It is grace and mercy. For our faith to be successful does not require the fulfillment of grand ambitions. We are servants of a Lord Almighty foremost, not servants of man enthroned. Our shared holy wisdom must be put righteously to direct our flocks into a direction that brings them to follow in the path of virtue and into a position of theosis. We must remain humble and aware of our duties. We must not fall into temptations of worldly ambition. When we see that our church begins to err in its direction, the priesthood must correct its course as we have done just now.

 

Now, we must wait. From my last hearing, the former Curia shall come together as regency as preparations are made for a new conclave which must also be planned under the unique circumstances we find ourselves in. May the coming days prove fruitful and may God continue to issue us with His blessings.
