Vermin Alchemy

Creation Story

 

The Ratkin were formed on accident by Seros Malroth, he seeked a loyal companion that looked akin to the Musin but accidentally made an abomination. From the cauldron a Ratkin that he named Zuelk’Vat. After the Ratkin proved itself useful Seros repeated the experiment to make another, this time though he made one copy of the recipe in a tome.

Appearance & Mindset

 

These vicious vermin creatures obey their master, this goes off the bases that the Ratkin obey the first person they see and will live out their orders if given whether that be good or bad.

The Ratkin live for about 120 years and can grow to be between the sizes of 3ft - 6ft tall, their builds can vary from either being slim and skinny to toned and muscular and a singular Ratkin has the equivalent strength of an Orc.  They have dark crimson eyes and thick brown fur or thick black fur with a tanned skin tone, although it has been noted that these creatures can become albino and can have thick white fur with light cream skin. These alchemy turned creatures have two front long fangs that show as an overbite, they are also equipped with a rat-like tail along with rat-like claws on all four limbs. These turned abominations share similar DNA to Musins making them cousins, as they are somewhat related, if found alone with no mischief and no master a Ratkin will seek out Musin to protect and look after, any sort of harm or anger sent towards the Musin and in the presence of a Ratkin, it will resort in the Ratkin feeling huge overwhelming waves of rage towards the person and will attack them. Ratkin can speak common but it is very broken and doesn't make a lot of sense sentences of the Ratkin could be like ‘Meesa Wanta’ or ‘Shizzy coinzz’

 

Ratkin are a pack creature, this being called a mischief , with a minimum group of four these ravenous creatures can go rogue from their chosen masters and can dictate their own path in life which often tends to be chaotic and barbaric. When in a mischief they must nominate a leader of the mischief , this is mostly decided by a brawl and the title of leader can be challenged via a brawl if the mischief disagrees with their leader. When Ratkin are in a mischief they are very loyal to the mischief and the leaders and members of it. They will talk out the mischief all the time common phrases being ‘For the mischief ’ or ‘The mischief will love this one’

Emotes: This creation takes [6] emotes over the course of 3 OOC days

 

[1] Day One - Heating up a cauldron and placing the corpse of a rat in it along with a vial of Orc Blood

[2] Day One - Pouring a Vial of Musin Blood in the Cauldron along with the Rakir Blood

[3] Day Two - Funneling in the Sign of Fire into the bubbling cauldron and stirring the mixture

[4] Day Two - Funneling in the Symbols of Rage X3, Growth X2, Chaos X4 and Burning X4

[5] Day Three -  Funneling in the Symbols of  Life x4, Death X2 and Connection X3

[6] Day Three -  Finally imbuing the Cauldron contraption with a Genus. Shortly after the Ratkin will be made and will  crawl out of the cauldron trying to stand but falling to its knees in search of its master

 

Ratkin Redlines

  •  Ratkin can hone Animatii Prosthetics and Golem Limbs
  • Ratkin Can only learn Alchemy,  Necromancy and Mysticism
  • Ratkin are not classed as undead
  • Ratkin Show no weakness to Aurum or Salt
  • When Ratkin are amassed in a number of  four or more they will leave other races coughing as fleas begin to fly around them, if any other races find themselves in a group of more then 10 Ratkin they will come down with a cough infection lasting 2 OOC days, this can be avoided by wearing an Air Purifier mask
  • All Weaknesses must be RP’d out if IRPly faced with any
  • Ratkin cannot be turned into any other further CA’s
  • Ratkin can not be have off springs and must be formed from the above recipe

Weaknesses

These wiry frightening looking creatures do not like fire or heat and will avoid it at all costs. 

Ratkin do not like the sight nor feel of Slayersteel or Qalashi Steel

Ratkin are sensitive to sunlight. Extended exposure will cause discomfort, headaches, and slowed reactions, They yearn to seek out caverns, caves and shade.

Ratkin also have very sensitive ears and can hear alot if far away, that being if someone let off a concussive disorientating magic or potion the Ratkin will whimper from the sound often back up

  • This recipe must be learnt in roleplay
  • Please follow the redlines of all the ingredients used to make this creature
  • The recipes ingredient must be either ST signed Herbs or Valid Player signed Blood
  • Once the RP has been done all ingredients to this recipe must be placed in an Sreq chest and the sreq must be made for the item to be collected (An link to the CA must be attached in the sreq)
  • The creation of a Ratkin must be screenshotted and uploaded to a doc and shared on the application
  • Vermin Alchemy Recipes cannot be learnt via an IRP  Book and must be obtained via a teacher with a valid TA with proof in roleplay
  • Vermin Alchemy does not require further FA
  • IRP  Books for Vermin Alchemy just act as a reminder for those that have learnt it

This lore has been denied.

Ratiki already exist in Lore (non-playable) and we are not looking to implement more beast-races at this time. Alchemy can already produce pseudo-Ratiki via Homunculi.
