A young prince frowned over the words spun of rumor and gossip. Yet as he moved through the crowd in Rittersberg, his gaze lingered watchfully on the strangers he passed.

"Franz, a vampire?" Remarked an individual who stood reading the paper in one of the Empire's roadside villages that they could never remember the name of. "I would never have guessed."

“Honesty has its merit, but virtue fleets when knowledge is malformed into words endeavoring to cause scandal and fruitless dismay.” The parchment was constricted between gaunt index and thumb, tendered to the guard monitoring her flank. Livia Caesonia ventured not to face him, for he would know her wrath by the routinely bristling of her shoulders.

“Dispersing speculatory filth of my relatives is not to be tolerated. Seek who wrote this and have them apprehended.” Then did she continue on her diurnal promenade, the weight of atrocity failing to lessen her gait.
