sarahbarah 7105 Popular Post Share Posted February 7 Spoiler O R D E R W I L L P R E V A I L ⊱𐫰⊰ The great Staglord has returned to us, cherished brother of Xan, and bearer of a light long thought dimmed by Shadow and Ruin. His return should not be regarded as mere providence but, instead, a symbol of continuity; the infinite and unending path through which Order endures, so that Ruin may not. Through legacy does Order survive, and through remembrance does it take root, emboldening us to prevail. Though Xan has fallen, the truth He embodied has not perished with Him–it has been renewed into Taharaie’s keeping. O N R U I N Ruin does not always announce itself with thunder or blackened flame; oftentimes it quietly lingers, with its presence mistaken for naught else but normalcy. It must be noted, however, that Ruin heralds the arrival of both Violence and Peril, and through them comes the unraveling of Order. Violence begets Chaos. Chaos begets Disorder. Disorder begets death. This is the unbroken chain that has undone Empires, felled Paladins of Yore, and scoured civilizations from memory. To neglect the first link in this chain is to invite the last. Order, therefore, is not passive, and must be maintained–lest Ruin take its place. O N G R E E D Greed is the sin bestowed unto all of us by the Betrayer. It is not borne of hunger alone, but also of excess; the desire to take beyond one’s own need, and to claim beyond one’s charge. It is by this creed that Greed corrodes Order from within. Wherein power is hoarded, compassion starves. The Betrayer did not solely destroy the world by force; he had commanded it to consume itself. To walk the Sunlit Path is to resist this inheritance. O N G U A R D I A N S H I P Guardianship was bestowed unto the Lion as a symbol of restraint, rather than dominance. It is thus that the Lion stands at the threshold where Order risks primality–when structure turns to oppression, and law forgets mercy. The Lion’s Charge, henceforth, is sacred: to temper the force of Order, so it does not turn foul upon the Descendants of the Four. Subsequently, it is Guardianship that demands vigilance, humility, and the courage to stay an eager hand. T H E P I L L A R S O F O R D E R Order is not singular, nor self sustaining. It is upheld by pillars set in a deliberate, intentional balance. When one is lost, the edifice turns to Ruin. ❖ Order is the form and foundation that repels Chaos. It is the discipline that prevents the world from succumbing to impulse, shapes Duty, and defines Restraint. ❖ Justice is the measure and scale that weighs intent as well as action. It reminds the mighty that authority without accountability is merely sanctioned violence. ❖ Compassion is the living heart within the law. It tempers judgment with mercy, and reminds us that Order is intended to persevere and prevail over wanton cruelty. ❖ Guardianship is the sacred duty to protect rather than possess. It binds power to responsibility and forbids exploitation under the guise of stewardship. Through Guardianship, Order protects the vulnerable. ❖ Empathy bridges the gap between authority and understanding. It allows those who judge to truly see those they bestow judgment unto. It is often mistaken for weakness, but ensures that punishment does not outpace wisdom. ❖ Redemption is the promise that failure is not final, and that darkness does not have to be one’s destiny. It affirms that those who have fallen may yet return to the Light, for Order that offers no path to the Light is merely despair dressed as law. It is without these pillars that Order would certainly curdle. T H E F I N A L A D M O N I T I O N This treatise will serve as a vow proclaimed unto the Descendants of Azuras. Order is not declared once and maintained forever; it must be chosen intentionally, deliberately, and willfully. The Sunlit Path, illuminated in Tahariae’s light, remains. It is walked by those who would rather bear the burden of Guardianship than surrender the world to Ruin. So long as our Pillars stand unbroken, and so long as the Lion tempers the blade, Shadow shan’t reign. Greed will be denied. Chaos will be answered. The Covenant will hold. Order will prevail. ⊱𐫰⊰ [ ʟɪᴛᴜʀɢʏ ɪꜱ ᴏᴜʀ ꜱᴀʟᴠᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ] Spoiler I love paladork posting Formatting: Pallodium
Venomous_Pup 2978 Share Posted February 7 The Witch whom took the domain of Chaos looked over the paper, fingers eagerly hooked into as the material bends and furls around her digits, as wild eyes look over the words. It was a bad joke to her, an illogical solution to a problem that in of itself was illogical; there was no answer to it. Just manifested action. "They always think they can beat the bad by being good, though what songs have been sung recently of heroes? They are all selfish; they will only be as good as the world lets them before they back down." She rasps at reflection upon recent history; none came to mind, though perhaps merely she'd lacked the chance encounter with such an individual. "It doesn't even matter; you can't stop it, only control it."
frvma 1014 Share Posted February 7 "Order died to a dragon. He wouldn't be proud of you. Also keep justice to those that follow justice. You do not follow my Lord, you follow a dead, desiccated husk that couldn't kill his own nemesis. Keep your taint away from Tahariae when you would so willingly give your Soul to Impurity if Order was alive. The Hands of The Law does not welcome or open itself to the likes of your kind." Heulwen spits with venom towards the treatise.
SacredSource 397 Share Posted February 7 A wayfaring Warden of the Sunlit Covenant looked upon the treatise, an inkling of the past resurfacing in the dire hour. The Sunlit Path is arduous and a never ending struggle. This is the first of many steps, the beginning of light’s wisdom for illumination within the soul. When the heavens begin to turn, the remnant truth of virtue must be accepted. Order is not granted freely, it is a means to harmony that must be accepted within heart and spirit by the righteous. The path of The Triumvirate does not offer ease. Victory is never to be assumed. The path offers the ground upon to stand, and the motivation to walk with unflinching eyes against all adversity in our path. Whatever the Maker has in store for us, we shall accept it, and we shall meet it in our resolve. Our Service Eternal. Liturgy is Our Salvation.
Hiccup392 731 Share Posted February 7 Leithril smiled the Sun's Smile knowing the PALADINS OF XAN and the forged Descendant TRIUMVIRATE rallied behind the ONLY living Keeper of Tahariae. She did this in the Gilded Halls of the Sunlit Sanctum, the citadel welcoming to all of Light, no matter their deity. For they were not prudes and welcomed unity.
Unwillingly 18122 Share Posted February 7 Almost to a fault was Galahad's disdain for opportunistic scavenging. Such was his fondness of the paladin folk, who labor more faithfully on sleepless night towards the world's good, while bereft of their lord and promised miracles, than false-tongued charlatans who lurk as the hungry vulture does, professing faith only for profit. The dawn after the missive was published, did a letter finds Morwenna's mail. "Morwenna, Your late testament will meet the eyes and ears of many. While I do not foresee the path that awaits the descendants will be easy, I do foresee that it will be storied. I feel the covenant has done for you something I couldn't. There is much healing to be had in caring for others, such a truth you practice with hands gentler than mine. You were always the better healer. Be vigilant of this craggy path. It will bring much trial. From, Galahad"
Wand 1220 Share Posted February 7 A cleric who travelled through Azuras found herself arriving unto the missive on her latest visit through the Elven Princedom. Ill-fitted to hosts of Elves, but well-suited to hosts of Light, her thumb brushed across the signature. She composes a letter, which is left and mailed to them. The following is not seen by the public. @sarahbarah Addressed to the Sunlit Covenant, I shall introduce myself as one of Tahariae's. Your words remind me of the old vows I have taken. Upon the next availability, I would like to meet you, and offer what history I can, as to illuminate what undoubtedly shall be expected of those to come. Moumins 378 Share Posted February 7 .- ─ ── ── ────.-──. ⊰●⊱ .──-.──── ── ── ─ -. A cold, stony wall was lit by amber hues, as a lantern of Redmont’s Flame hissed. Frisket 4538 Share Posted February 8 "Master!" The young novice ran to Vivien, who seemingly was reading upon the Aenguls. Trying to study the recent activities and happenings in the mortal plane. "Hrmmm...." Vivien grumbled, almost at lost and confusion, landing before the page on Taharei and the former lord of Order. "Ti... what is the matter?" "For your research. You wanted some definitions on these Paladins, I think this can help!" Vivien gazed upon the Imperial Shamans words, her eyes clinging unto the elves writing. Though she scanned, and minded each world listed, she handed it back to the child and said "Place it in my desk, I will study it later tonight. Thank you, my dear student." The student did so, running to her home and placing it in the table. The High Witch continued to organize books in Aelwens Library, finishing her favour to a friend.
