COMMUNITY TEAM UPDATE

INTRODUCTION

 

Hey everybody! It has been quite a month to say the least. This more in-depth update is meant to catch you up on what has been going on for the past couple of weeks, as CT have been rather quiet for the most part. I would like to thank everyone for their patience as I settle into the Community Admin position; I am confident I am getting into the swing of things slowly but surely. With that said, check out some of what we’ve been up to over the past couple of weeks below!

 

Please note that after this, the plan is to post an in-depth Community Team Update every 3 months, and in between, we will keep up with monthly application updates as we have in the past.
 

 

CURRENT ROSTER

 

We have welcomed a couple of new people to the team as of late, as well as a couple of people departing the team. I want to express my gratitude to those who have departed for their hard work and contributions during their time with us, and I wish them luck in their future endeavours. Additionally, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new members of the CT.

TEAM UPDATES

 

 - Community Meet -

 

This past weekend, we conducted our first community meeting in quite some time. The server's staff teams answered questions from the community, as well as talked about their respective team updates and new projects that each team had been working on. The meeting transcript will be coming out later this week.

 

 - Cloud Temple Monk Lore -

 

As you all might have previously seen, we are happy to announce the return of Cloud Monk lore. It has been quite some time since we had one, and with ideas about how the monks should be being tossed around for the past couple of years since the shelving of the last one, it is nice to finally reintroduce Cloud Temple Monk Lore.

 - Application Format -

 

Since announcing the Application Format project almost a year ago, we have been working diligently behind the scenes to update the application and its accompanying resources. We are looking forward to showing you all the changes that have been made. So keep an eye out for a post announcing these changes in the near future.  

 

 - Arts Contest -

After almost a year of no arts contests, we have finally brought them back! The theme of our current arts contest is ‘The Carnevale’, a worldwide festival that celebrates elements from numerous cultures around the world, and the massive diversity amongst such people.

 - Return of CT Events-

 

As mentioned at the Community meet, we are planning to bring back CT events in the near future. To start with, we have been working on internal protocols to ensure that CT events will have a standardized format for the team to follow to avoid the blurred lines issues we have seen in the past. So keep an eye out for some future CT events on the horizon!

 

-Media Team & Wiki Team-

As Smol had mentioned above, we brought on a couple of new team members in the last couple of weeks, amongst those were some new members of the Media and Wiki Teams. All these new members of the teams are already hard at work with a number of projects in various stages of completion, so look forward to the announcements as they come!

We sometimes have LOTC-related posts on random subreddits - they aren't genuine advertisements as that's against reddit TOS. But it's like worldbuilding or other setting-related subreddits, and we post about our cool stuff. Because we're cool.
