Epicethan4 948 Popular Post Share Posted February 24 The Trial of Seven The mounted knights stood across from each other in the Goldleaf field once more. Seven against Seven. Dwarves of Urguan, and men of the Empire, some of the finest warriors of both their respective realms. Silence prevailed across the field, soon to be interrupted by the cries of battle. Sweat poured down their cheeks, condensation emitted from their helms.. And then… BOOOOOOOOWWWWWWNNNN!!!!!! The horn was blown, and the warriors of Urguan and the Imperium lowered their lances and charged. TWO HOURS EARLIER It was another peaceful day in the realm of Urguan. The Dwarves of Urguan and their allies tended to their wartime duties. This peace was once again interrupted by the screeching and cries of Imperial soldiers. A gathering of Imperials rode up to the Dwarven gates. They demanded another fight upon the Goldleaf roads. These men were better than those who perished against the Dwarven army the previous stone day, it was clear that they wished to make right the loss and humiliation that the Imperial force suffered the day prior. They demanded a fair fight, seven against seven. The honourable Dwarves, along with their allies across the Alliance agreed to the terms of this bout. A fight to determine the superior force. The two forces met upon the Goldleaf roads once more. Representing the Alliance were thus: Yrun Ireheart Hekkaes Goldhand Dorrak Ireheart Cicero Balin ‘the Redeemed’ Frostbeard Balor Ireheart SHAMIZIR THE SANGUINE The two sides finally charged as the Horns were blown. Lances ploughed into Imperial and Dwarven soldiers alike. Many were dismounted, and those that were, continued their fighting on foot, taking out their pikes and dismounting those who were still atop their steeds. The battle was bloody and fierce, but it became increasingly apparent that the Alliance held the upper hand. Three men of the Imperium were slain, butchered by the Dwarven side, and one man of the Alliance perished, deviously smashed to the back of the helm by a mace wielding-imperial. The fight continued, with the Imperial side still possessing four men, and the Alliance force still possessing six. The Dwarven soldiers returned to their steeds, licking their wounds. The Imperial soldiers initiated a tactical retreat, disappearing into the valley. The Alliance formed up on the roads, scouting the forestry for the enemy.. And then… the cries of SOUTH-WEST were heard. The four remaining troops attempted to flank the Alliance, but were caught in the act. The six remaining Dwarven soldiers pursued the Imperial troops, chasing them off past Soleaum and to the coast… they grew closer and closer to the Imperial troops, before finally getting close enough to lance. CRASH The remaining four Imperial soldiers were dismounted by a brazen lance of the Alliance. They were swiftly cut down, their corpses were looted for gear, and then buried upon the Dwarven lands. The Alliance had prevailed, wiping out their enemy entirely, whilst losing only one man. The Allied soldiers returned to the Dwarven capital, victorious once more against the Empire. They were met with the cheers of the grateful Dwarven populace. Another blow against the Empire, another crack in the Imperial armour. The trial of seven was complete, and the men of the Alliance were favoured.

JokerLow 1317 Share Posted February 24 Hekkaes Goldhand returns to his house, armor bloodied after a second field battle upon the Goldleaf roads "T'ey foug't well, just nae well 'nuf." he said before opening a bottle of whiskey, wiping the edge of his axe while a pouch filled with coins sat idly, claimed from one of the imperial warriors.
Kardika 1058 Share Posted February 24 (edited) "augh..." A groan escaped the lips of Shamizir the Sanguine as he reached for his tankard within the Salvo Saloon... The battle was won but evidently victory came at a cost and being unhorsed was no more pleasant than it sounded, Surely a few broken ribs at the least. The bumpy ride back home had not been kind to his battered self either, souring his mood which he hope to alleviate with Whiskey... "GAHH!!! A WINS A WIN FELLAS!!" he proclaimed loudly to the other patrons of the saloon, making to hide his pained face as the merry-making began. media 75 Share Posted February 25 (edited) As Dorrák Ireheart returned to the city he raised one of the imperial heads high, holding it by the hair as he yelled “T’EY DID NAE STANDS A C’ANCE” As he finished yelling he would throw the beaten head off a bridge leaving it to rot before going home to sharpen his axe.
