[✗] [Ammendement] Fire Arrows

All of this is bolded already so the addition is going to be GREEN. Very basic amendment to BLACKPOWDER so just posting this once.

Raw Effect(s): 

A Highly reactive material, black powder when ignited will quickly spark and set on fire, only to die shortly after. This can find its uses in a variety of applications, one such is the use for fireworks, a glorious display during festivals.

Black powder can be utilized to produce "fire arrows" by binding a package of the material against the arrow. It may be ignited by adding an additional [1] ignition/priming emote between the steadying and nocking emotes of the bow. The flame only lasts until the firing emote, delivering a second degree burn around the wound before sputtering out or igniting flammable materials should it contact a target. If the archer attempts to hold the arrow longer, the arrow's flame will sputter out and be wasted.

Redlines:

- Cannot be weaponized unless specific lore states otherwise.

- Black powder on its own can't be used to create explosions of any destructive scale.

- Not an alchemical Recipe

- Non-alchemists can make black powder, but only alchemists can extract its symbols as a reagent.

- Fire Arrows follow all rules related to arson (requiring applicable permissions to do so.) A fire arrow must be represented by a playersigned item, which adds an additional emote to the firing of a bow/crossbow to utilize (raising to [4] or [5] emotes total depending on the specific weapon used.)
- Fire Arrows cannot have an arrowhead made of flammable material or they will break apart in the air. The flame does not persist long enough to heat up materials like daemonsteel, and the flame will still be put out by things that put out flaming projectiles.

- No ST sign required

 

OOC PURPOSE: Typically on the server people will do this thing where they dunk an arrow in oil and light it on fire and shoot it. This doesn't actually work since the speed of the arrow would just put out the flames through the air. If you don't think its necessary to have rules for these you can just deny this though blackpowder (which was what people used to make these in the 900s) specifies that it cannot be weaponized unless otherwise stated and I don't want to make a full fire arrow lore thing.

Alternatively you could put something about how fire arrows/how flammable projectiles work in techlock. IDK I am not your mom.
