Burnt Toast 198 Popular Post Share Posted March 28 ❃✾Spring Eternal✾❃ ❃ In days long past, in years long forgotten, Lenore had lived her life free. She roamed forests and climbed mountains, unburdened by the woes of society. Yet she still wished for friendship beyond squirrels she thought could talk. The woman chose to confine herself to a society she didn’t fit into. Follow rules she deemed unneeded. The call of the wilds never left her, nor did she forget to honor it. ❃ With years and years of experience behind her belt, she flourished. Became a medic, a druidess, a wife, and a mother. She had everything she could ever want. Yet life was often unkind to her. She had fought evils beyond her comprehension, faced rivals of which she never dreamed of facing, and suffered losses and betrayal that would break her. Over time, ideals were lost, and the woman changed. ❃ Yet somehow, despite all her flaws, she was beloved. Cherished by many and cared for by more. Her heart never seemed to run out of affection to give. Through times of difficulty, she was supported. Through times of joy, she helped others. Nobody noticed the secrets she held, piling up in her mind like brutal spikes. She held darkness too. Something she hated to share with others. ❃ Lenore was a madman. There is no sugar coating that. She sought that which was impossible and had a temper once she hit a limit. Time eased her anger, but never aided in the turmoil inside. Perhaps it was madness that drove her when she died. A demi-god before her, her mani of choice. Bolomoraa. She had turned to flee, begging herself to survive as anyone wants. Yet… a voice rang through, that of someone she deemed family. A moment was all it took for her running to change direction. They had still been fighting. She arrived as they left, looking up at the terror before her. It mattered little anymore. Her eyes alight a final time, she tried to fight until her last breath. ❃ As the building tore apart on top of her, she was crushed, left to die as the rest had fled or not noticed her. Her vision from the Aspects came true. She died alone, fighting for her ideals. Slowly and painfully she would bleed out until nothing was left. Yet… from her body flowers grew, fulfilling the cycle of spring once more. OOC: Thank you all for supporting Lenore’s journey. She was around for more than a year and was my primary character for the longest time. I hope you all enjoyed her story as much as I did. She’ll be off in the eternal forest now, watching everyone fondly Her final letters are as such: To my children Quote I have always loved you dearly, no matter how you try to spite me. Remember to live strong and free, or so help me I will come back from the dead to make sure you do. To my family Quote I will never forget any of you, no matter how much time passes. Keep yourselves strong, ok? I want to have a family I can hear stories of for years to come. To Zylgren Quote I love you, never forget that. I know you're going to struggle, so let me tell you this now. You will always struggle. Life sucks. So live to spite the world. To Amethyst Quote Sorry I wasn't able to join your circle. I really wanted to. Just be safe, ok? I don't want to see you again too soon. To The Druidic Order Quote Be warned, time passes ever onward. If you do not remember who you are, you will never be who you are supposed to become. Druids are people, first and foremost. Never forget that. By the way, sorry if you weren't included in the letters! I can't think of everyone she knows, so i'll be adding things as time progresses.

PotatoFan117 393 Share Posted March 28 Spoiler NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LENOREEEEEEEEE! The undead elder though to itself "hmmmmm why does that name sounds so. . . .familiar?" It asked itself, shrugging it off, thinking probably it meant nothing. But deep down in his lost soul, Spoiler Hick was gonna miss her a lot. If only he could remember her.
Amesti 247 Share Posted March 28 What would life have been like if Diolinda had finished her trials? Certainly better. As the woman laid her son to rest, she didn't know of the other loss that was had. Maybe if she had been better, she would be grieving Lenore with her son right now. Instead, she was too wrapped up in his loss to even know of the other.

Turbo_Dog 3570 Share Posted March 28 Spuds, ever wandering, ever nosey in all news managed to grasp onto the word of such a loss. At once he went home and looked at something. It was a moldy tart. One that had only a single bite of his own taken from it and the test eaten by decay. The Mothmaiden gave him it many years ago in the Cerulia square, right Infront of the little tree pond likely intoxicated at the time. Applying some goggles over his eyes he would see the tart rejuvenated to something great again. And for the rest of the day the musin would stare at the item and think of how fleeting the life of both descendant and their creation were “You were one of the greats. Sweet dreams.”

Lexi1753 22 Share Posted March 28 Aldith would kneel infront of the flowers where Lenore had been buried. She would gently close her eyes, trying her hardest to find words to say. "Eja mum... y hope vy are free within the Enternal Forest." She would pause a small smile on her face. "Worry not, y will be okay and so will Grisha. So rest easy." Tears form in her eyes. "Thank vy... for everything, for being there when y needed vy most. For helping with moya son." She would then stand up and bow her head. "Thank vy moya mother." Spoiler Lenore was one of the first characters I got to interact with when I joined LOTC, and was an amazing character. She helped develope Aldith in ways I never thought. Thank you Toast for this amazing character and I can't wait to see what more you bring to this server.
FOOB 86 Share Posted March 28 Yra stares at the missive for a while, with unseeing eyes, before the paper crumples in her hands. "Ye stupid fool. I told ye te be careful didn't I? Just wait fer me te come 'aunt ye 'n tha' damn forest." Not long later, the mournful tune of a flute carries on the winds of Asuras. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A silent prayer is said at an unmarked grave. A tired sister, mourning yet another loss as nature cries for the fallen sister. She turns then, to give her twin a tight hug, fondly thinking back to the woman she'd met maybe once or twice, but certainly had not disliked. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Amidst the rubble sat a motionless figure. White hair dirtied from dirt and blood. A pool that spread out from the rubble before him. Blank, empty eyes stared at nothing for a long time. In his hands were clenched a bag, and a staff. A familiar, now bloody staff. Perhaps he should have stayed, he reminisces. Paid his respects a bit longer at that flowery grave he'd carried his aunt-turned-mother to. Stayed at the place where he'd seen her face for the last time a bit longer... He hadn't had the heart. All the people there, silently mourning. It felt as if they'd been judging him. He hadn't been there. Had not given his all to protect the last of his family. And now, he was alone. It was odd. He probably should be having more feelings about that. All that was on his mind however, was that this seemed like a terribly lonely way to go. Alone, buried beneath all that rubble. Still. He would have happily taken her place. A bird lands, not too far away. A final letter.... Numb fingers tear the paper open, and silence follows, before a humorless laugh is given. 'Life to spite the world huh?' He considers it. "...but haelun...what ef I ne want teh spite teh world anymore?"
Frisket 4538 Share Posted March 28 “Haelunai, another one?” A sunflower spoke to a Mali’asul ”She was lost, Hera abandoned the Orphange to Aspin. We are running out of funds to keep it running.” ”You should worry about us, not other strays….” ”Everyone in this city is a stray, Our people will soon be strays too, is it not fair to take them in so they do not grow forever astray?” ”Ea” ”worry not little one, I will keep unto you, and I will tend to you like a flower in my garden.” or so she tried. flames burned and crackled, cinders of burning homes and bodies of the small defensive force littered the land. What remained stood with the citizenry. This was the first memory she had of truly looking at Lenore. With false hope. “Flee, you must survive, I will find you.” and she never did. Years lingered and in the Ivory towers of Celia’nor did the two reunite. It felt like a relief yet another heavy burden to Ember. A daughter which she had to make up again, yet in the end, she was to involved in a dream that she just wished to let it die. Yet it was in this dream, that she saw ruin again, in defiance and in her own remorse for the mistakes of others she only realized the mistake that everyone else dared not to admit to. Yet she had to. In some part of her heart, she despised the Moth maiden, every fiber of her being. But something changed, a vile depression began to sicken her mind. Bringing her stone heart now cold and numb. And even after they made up, she looked at the mirror in her room just as she did this night. Where such scent of the bug vanished, a witness gone. she smiled, a small but sharp yet filled with rage. ”one down, one more to go…” Spoiler I love the art pieces, hope that I gave you decent roleplay even if we disagreed and had quarrels. Whether they be between us or about our aquaintices. o7 ty for the rp
