Extracted from a Dusty Tome

The Ancient Grand Druids were masters of Healing and the Nature's Power. Known for their understanding of herblore, and ability to commune with plants and animals.

([possible reagents listed, if reagents are to be used])

((also casting animations /sounds for casting and individual spells would be very nice, especially where the spell doesn't have a visual effect like a summon.

e.g. sounds- splash, flowing water, crackling of fire, mob noises (you can find the oggs in resources if you want to hear them ^^.

taming(hearts) /smoke/redstone/fire/water/wetdog effects on casters and targets ))

Healing/ Defensive

Possibly the hearts effect from taming could be shown on characters being healed : D

Fortifying Stew

Produces a fortyfying stew that removes curses and hunger, or perhaps adds the AoE offense/defense buff for a limited time (not stacked) [stew, apple/sugar]

Root

The caster's feet take root in the ground, immobilised the druid feels rejuvenated. [seeds/sapling]

Rejuvenation

Heal's the target over time [?] -

Nature's Flourish/ LifeWalk

Verdure springs around the caster's feet (flowers grass) , and all around feel invigorated - AoE heal/summon [flowers,redstone,bonemeal]

Barkskin

The druid touches the bark of an oak tree, absorbing it's essence - increased armor/or defense effect. [in situ oak tree if possible]

IronBarkskin

The druid touches the bark of an birch tree, absorbing it's essence - increased armor/or defense effect. [in situ birch tree if possible]

Nwyfre

Inner Fire - Attack-Buff [Redstone?] flame or redstone animation, with one of the fire sounds perhaps.

Featherfoot

The caster is wreathed in magical feathers - Next fall does no damage [feathers]

Treestride/Leap

The caster can leap from tree to tree (blink 5-10 blocks onto leaves logs?)

Summoning

LivingTree

The druid instantly summons a tree from the ground [sapling] - another plugin had an interesting implementation of this with a spell called 'fastgrow' - it was cast - then all planted saplings instantly grew until decast/ reagents (rs) were exhausted

Howl

Summons wolves [?] - coupling with a wolf sound would be great.

Nurture/Fertilise

The druid holds out his golden staff, and blesses the harvest. All wheat/plants within range are nourished, [dirt] perhaps for increasing wheat's growth stage by 1, or straight to stage 7.

Sunburst - Summons the brightness of the sun to your golden staff - AoE Light, damages undead [glowstonedust, redstone]

Shotweb/ SpinWeb - Throws a wall of Web [string/webs] - may be annoying in regions, so could be replaced with a ranged arrow attack.

GiantMushroom - Summons a GiantMushrrom (1.8 update ^^)

Nature's Blessing/Enchanted Grove - Large tree summon

UnwillingWood - Summons a stand of trees to surround target.

Inundate - Summons a torrent of flowing water from above

Leafshield - summons a protective wall of leaves [ leaves] - should be good in regions since they will despawn unless near logs.

Cactivate/WallofThorns - Blocks/ imprisons target in a wall of cactus [cactus]

Offensive

Beastspite/Growl

Taunts nearby creatures [?nothing?] - Growl.ogg would be perfect

Throw apple

Throw apple at target to stun [apple], snowball thrown sound

Humiliate

Throws an egg at target, chicken! [egg]

Poison Arrow

A poison arrow, target takes damage over time or hunger is not satiated [mushroom in situ, or from inventory?]

Hunger/StarveCurse

Food shall no longer nourish the victim of this curse, and his hunger will go unsatiated, [bone, chosen food] it may only be lifted by consuming the natural food with which the curse was placed

(apple, stew, bread, rawfish, cake, melons ^^)

WildMushroom

Mushrooms/or placed mushroom explodes doing AoE damage [mushroom] - tnt fuse noise

or WildPumpkin

A wild pumpkin is thrown (if not possible placed), leering at it's target as it explodes (bit complicated may not be possible to make a pumpkin flash between states/explode, or be thrown like modified tnt.)

Puffball

A puffball is thrown bursting upon landing releasing a cloud of spores that suffocate nearby foes, AoE damage ranged[bonemeal,mushroom]

Needlestorm

A flying screen of needles shoots from the caster's hands [pineleaves]

EntanglingRoot

Roots spring from the ground entangle the target, damage over time, slow/immobilise [seeds] melee?

LighteningStorm/ Smite/ Nature's Fury

Bolts of lighting Radiate out from the caster's diamond stave.

Post your own suggestions for Druids, and for Mages, Shamans , Priests, Sorcerers, Warlocks - whatever you think the races magicians will be called ^.^.

What about a spell that's teleports you to the Druid grove? And I think that instead of a golden staff we should use a wood one. You know, because Druids like trees.

i didnt add mana amounts or cool down because Im bad at judging how much they should be

Defensive/Healing

Wall of Glass

Creates a 3 wide 3 tall wall of glass in front of you for 10 sec

Frost Shield

Creates a 3 wide 3 tall wall of ice when broken turns into water

Sacrifice

Depletes 3 of your hearts and gives your target 3 hearts

Reflect

Makes all projectile type attacks bounce off of you for 20 sec

Dispel

Makes all spells your opponent use not work for 10 sec

Equivalent Exchange

Makes you have 50% damage resistance for 50% mana for 30 sec

Telekinesis

Pushes back target 5 blocks

Waterfall

Summon a quick stream of water that lasts for 30 sec

Ore Summon

Bring up the ore closest to the surface of the ground you are pointing at.

Offensive

Lightning

Call down a lightning bolt

Fire ball/ ice ball/arrow

This could be shoot out a arrow, snow ball, or snow ball on fire

Storm

Shoot out a stream of magical arrows for 5 sec

Soul Trap

Traps your target in a soul stone block long enough for them to take 3 hearts

Earthen Pillars

Shoot up a pillar of dirt flinging you opponent in the air high enough to take 3.5 hearts

Lightning Fury

Shoot lightning for 5 sec

Absorb

Take 10% of your targets mana

Weight of the Sky

Forces your target to crouch for 10 sec

Line of Flame

Create a 5 long line of flame in front of you

Ball of Flames

Traps the target in a 3x3 cube of fire for 10 sec

Lightning Ball

Create a block of blue wool that acts like a cactus

Very nice. Maybe Druids should have staves made from ender pearls or something green and special. Staffs that look like hoes I don't like. There should also be cool down depending on the effects of the spell you cast.

I will try to make a list for clerics but I so everyone is aware I am not head cleric.

Summon the Light Turns the block beneath the player into a block of glowstone that moves with them as they walk (( can't be broken))

Through the Light Alows the player to move to another location through the realm of light(( Blink 5-10 blocks))

Gift of Life tier 1 Summons a chicken to where staff is pointing

Gift of Life Tier 2 Summons a Sheep with golden wool

Gift of Life tier 3 Summons a Cow ((or Mooshroom)

Gift of Health At cost of 2 hearts grants target 4 hearts of health and removes poison

Prayer Heals the player 4 hearts and removes poison

Coming of the Light 6 clerics cast spell to turn it to day (( Opposite of necromancers)

Food for the hungry Players in a certain radius of the play become more fed

Shield of light Summons a wall 3*3 made of glass at max light level

Offensive Spells

Shackles of light Light comes from the ground and hold s the target stationary (( stuck crouching))

Light Force Pushes the target back 5 blocks ((mabye make those five blocks turn to max light level))

Heat of Light Catches the opponent on fire

I don't really know what offensive spells for clerics so if anyone has Ideas I would love to hear them. I don't know but maybe clerics will be very watered down ascended.

Forceful Push- Magic Users- Push back enemies (or friends :P) 4 blocks, causing 2 hearts damage. Requires feathers and redstone. Make a "Whoosh" sound.

Spread Life- Druidic- 5 blocks all around the caster, 3 blocks up, 3 blocks down, turn into grass, full grown. If there are grown grass around, makes tall grass or flowers. Has a 25% chance to grow saplings within 5 blocks from caster. Requires 2 yellow flowers, 2 red. 1 dirt block is used too. Would make a "Growth" noise.

I think people are getting confused with the intention of this post, and are simply writing magic that they would like.

But back on the topic of druids, if the tree-hugging children want some power then why bother preventing them? ;)

I like the ideas, possibly for entangle, it could be a cone or a line and possibly use vines, making it entangling vines? I dunno. It seems to me like druids should be more ranged/stealth/traps rather than up close and personal
