As you trot through Laurelin, you notice a green piece of parchment pinned on the message board. You stop to read the neat script

Greetings!

I am Ebs, Archduke of Fionn, a small settlement in the verge. I have recently been given command over the village, and, with a council, am rebuilding and reforming it. With the increased amounts of mobs, we have been forced to shrink the village to properly defend it. Fionn is located north of the old temple in the verge, and is run by and mostly inhabited by elves. All races are welcome, but, we cannot take on many people at this point because housing is very limited. Fionn is currently independent of Malinor, but may join it once we get off the ground.

So, if you live in Fionn already, or wish to in the future, please leave a note in my mailbox((forum message me)) and help the council and I turn Fionn into a wonderful place to live. Also, check this message for updates on the town's status and such.

Ashur quietly reads the small notice, his worn wooden pipe hanging lazily from his mouth as he studies. He inhales, then thinks to himself as the smoke wafts out of his mouth and into the evening winds.

Feeling the sword to his side, he recalls when he entered the first Elven colony not so long ago - only to be trapped inside by hordes of spiders and Simes. He barely fought his way out of the infested buildings, while finding friendship by saving the life of a woman named Sythra... but that's another story entirely.

"At the very least," Ashur mumbles to himself, "...it was profitable." . The spiders had multiple small items stuck to their bodies from having crawled all through the area. While most of the trinkets were trash, he did find a smattering of useful items, including a handful of diamonds... and the poison the cave spiders possessed was always useful...

"...What was I thinking about...? Oh, right, Fionn." . Ashur makes a mental note of visiting the new settlement, but to make sure he is properly equipped before doing so. He doesn't plan on dying on some forsaken island miles and miles away from his homeland. He wanders off into Laurelin, leaving a thin trail of tobacco smoke floating behind him as he walks.

If you look at the map of the verge, it is about 300 meters directly to the north of the temple.

Attention all citizens of Fionn, please send me a letter stating your name, ((your timezone, and MC name.)) If I do not know who lives here, I do not know how many homes to build. Also, nearly all of the buildings in the city are being torn down because we need room to properly plan the city to optimize efficiency and defense. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but in 3 months ((3 irl days)) all of the building's marked condemned will be torn down, and the belongings will be stored in chests. James and Bryce, please contact me about the theater, as it cannot stay where it is, and will have to be redesigned/ rebuilt. This is for the good of the town, and I think everyone will be happy with the end result.

We have come into contact with our neighbors, New Oasis. We are working on a trading deal between our villages.

PS: I've been working on a new city gate, it isnt finished yet, but I could use some materials.
