How Do Elves Have Children?

I have seen that there are a decent amount of elven children or half children and that seemed normal until I reread the ancient history lore. Elves are infertile.

But..

Before they could complete the sentence, Iblees stood tall for one last time.

“You believe you may simply banish me from this plane and that my taint shall not last? I have touched this world with evil and it shall forever be part of the souls that inhabit it.

Malin, I curse you with sterility, you and your kin shall forever lack the children they need. May your forest halls forever be silent, and your hearts heavy with sadness.

Does this make all elven children and half children a product of powergaming? XD

Or are we as a community rejecting this bit of lore because we want to have children?

Quote from the Wiki:

http://lordofthecraft.net/wiki/index.php/Elves

Although they are the longest lived, they are also the least prolific of the races, only reliably fertile for the first five centuries of their lives and with elfesses only capable of conceiving ten to fifteen years after their last birth.

Each elven girl could theoretically have 40 to 50 children in their lifetime.

Take them both, Iblees curse only had a limited effect on elves, so they COULD still produce but the probability of it being successful is significantly reduced relative to the other races.

Fair enough. Thanks for clearing that up.

If it had full effect, the youngest any elf could be would be.. 4000+? And would be about to die I think (or are they truely immortal?).

I wish I knew how fast time flew in Aegis before I chose to be human. We have the worst curse. Because of our short lives, we have to constantly update our skins since we age so fast.

Need to find a cure and fast

Seriously. Elves live forever and can have children, Dwarves are just short, orcs are just ugly. Human's just die and pass into the void.

well, when you put it like that, I'm shallow person so I would rather look good and die than not be short and greedy or ugly and angry all the time for 1000 of years.

But Elves do live it out the best.
