A Small Introduction

So, as some of you may know, I am a druid. This entitles to me some interesting powers, foremost, the power of magical healing, ad a connection to nature. So, of course, I excersise that power regularly, but it leaves something to be desired. don't get me wrong, I love being a druid, but, we have a much larger task then what I focus on. Which is, healing. So, we get the power, we become a druid, then what? Normally, you go out and help the world, right? Well, Sillion did just that. My character recently went on a long journey, testing his healing abilities, and learning new herb mixtures et cetera, and came back one of the best healers in Aegis. So, of course, his first thought would be to pass on his knowledge, of helping people, and the world. This is where my idea came into play, of The Aegis Healing Consortium. It would be first and foremost, a guild. A group of people gathered to learn all the secrets of healing, to the normal persons extent (They're not druids, so my magical abilities would be beyond them) and forward research into the medicinal world of Aegis.

The Goals

Such a guild would obviously have a large amount of weight to throw around in the world of Aegis. After all, when one is researching biology, it unlocks secrets unannounced to anyone else in Aegis. Allowing for new weapondry, armor, medicine, and control. But, Sillion, being a fellow directed by a druidic moral code, would never use such a power for evil. All of the research would try and go towards useful things, such as advances in life extension (fixing the life span of races other then elves, and trying to cure the undead flesh degeneration are good examples) and combat methods for the forces of good. Also, the guild would provide its services to any who enter its halls. Anything from a broken arm, to a unnamed disease, we will cure to the best of our abilities.

The Wards

Being a guild infatuated with such a large information base, being just one general group is very uneconomical, since it doesn't focus on anything in particular. This would be solved by dividing the group up into three different sections, or Wards, each with a specific focus, or task.

The Medicinal and Surgical Studies Ward (MSSW)

This would be the obvious ward. It would be a ward dedicated to helping out the populace in medicinal ways. This would be a very, very RP intensive section. As surgeries, medicines and all would be heavily RPed, books would be written, animals and people studied, etc. They will also have joint study with the BHSW into Potion brewing, and enchantment. They're also in charge farming, except for pumpkins and Netherwart.

The Biology and Herbalism Study Ward (BHSW)

Another RP intensive ward, BHSW would be about studying plant growth, plant effects and how they can be applied to the MSSW studies. along with plant studies, they would be in charge of animal growth, animal usage, and breeding. They would be in charge of overseeing most plant growth, but little to no influence, other then planting, growing, and tending to a special strain of pumpkins, unique to the BHSW, used for masks during surgery and study for the whole of the AHC, and the Netherwart.

The Biomechancical and Protection Ward (BPW)

Now, if any conflicts occur on this page, I will bet it is about this ward. But, I digress, I once saw a gentleman a month-ish ago roleplaying a golem. A interesting concept, and he pulled it off quite nicely, he didn't powergame with the power he had obtained, instead he used it to liven the RP. Then, low and behold, a little game came out Deus Ex came out (I'm sure some of you are seeing where this is heading) and it's main gimmick would be augmentation, biomechanical implants that benefitted the patient in some way, for a price. The user was caused extreme pain unless they took a drug, neuropozine, which is highly addictive. Now, we have pistons, red-stone, metals, and hopefully the collective intellect of surgeons and intellectuals at the AHC, so, why not augmentation? So, don't get me wrong, I know where this could head. A pathetic RPer gets his hands on our augs, and viola, magic power-game, EVERYWHERE!! But, that's why the BPW would be not only the most moderated ward, but would be the most complicated to get into. Not to mention, I want to make it clear, these augmentations would give no real in-game benefits, just interesting RP experiences, and the patients would RP the effects, negative and positive. This will allow for increasing the RP experience of these people, and their enjoyment of the server. Now that that is out of the way. This ward would be the protection for The Complex, be the recepients of the other Wards augmentations, and do the more dangerous tasks, such as collecting rare parts of potions, like Ghast Tears and Blaze Rods.

There's one more part of this section that I've yet to cover. Which would be the recruitment process. Now, the other two wards are going to have a normal application process, in game, not in the forums. You make a very, very minute applications on the guild forum post, then you meet with me, and decide your section. But, the BPW is a different matter. One does not ask to join the BPW, instead you are recruited by the leader of the ward, currently Caden Cathaldus. Those that are hunted down are those that we know will be loyal, are good warriors etc. The main factor that will increase your chances of joining are special abilities, and major bodily harm. Lie, beng blind, missing a limb, having a severe dissability, etc. This is because the

augmentations process was made to help out those who have been wronged by Mother Aegis, and are taking matters into their own hands. So, those with dissabilities are more entitled to test out this new technology. And, there is one final factor I'm currently deating, memory loss. Now, the leader of the BPW, has had his memory utterly destroyed, a vast tragedy. But, it also leaves him a blank slate, with no past connections. This makes him the best kind of warrior, one with no personal bias, and only a morality you institute. So, what I'm thinking is that the patient is but under intense hypnosis pre-op, and all their memory iss wiped. But, they write almost all their major memories down in a journal, with a key word. If the member decides to leave for whatever reason, the key-word is said, and the memories are returned. In case anything is erased permemnantly, the journal is also given to the patient. And, the final thing to take into consideration, is that this would all be voluntary. The patient approves to all of it.

Leadership, Location, and Wrapping Up

So, the AHC would be headed by three leaders, two Deans and one Luminary. I would take the place of the Luminary, a general leader who also heads the MSSW. The Deans each head a section, one for the BHSW and on for the BPW. As of now, Valer D'vore will head the BHSW, and Caden Cathaldus will head the BPW. All of us would hold about equal power, with the Luminary being slightly more influential than the others, and publicly heading the AHC. The general ranking system will be thought up in the coming days. The location is yet to be decided, if I even go ahead with this guild idea, I may just wait until the new map, and get a fresh start. A big problem would be protection, due to my non-donorness. But, wherever it may be located, it will be called, The Complex. A vast, sprawling building, with only a tiny section dedicated to public viewing, and the majority of it either underground, or hidden from the public view.

So, if you stuck through this wall of text to the end, I salute you. I understand the big flood of generic guilds, and the like, but i would really like to make this happen. But, none the less, post your comments, thoughts criticisms etc below, I'll be updating this topic to mold the guild in the coming, but, over all, thanks for reading.

`S.

Why thank you, this took a bit to type up. Hopefully it'll be a bit more defined soon.

Love the idea! One suggestion though, is to perhaps begin training before the new map? I would think that as we burst forth and populate a new map that there will be great need for our expertise...

I concur, but, the problem would be a place to put the whole monstrosity, and protections.

You don't have to have a giant base right away.

And from what I have read there wont be a map wipe until somewhere around new year.

So I suggest that you start with this project as soon as possible, we will need you in the new world xD

Well, planning of the start of the AHS is now underway. We'll hopefully have it mocked up soon, and will be accepting members. Then, I'll post this on Guilds.

Alright folks, the first ever biomechanically enchanced citizen has entered the world of Aegis! The construction of a starter base is under way, and once construction is complete, I will post a topic in the guilds section. As always, post your thoughts, compliments, criticisms, etc here! We're always in need of input. Also, if you wish to help, contact me ((Ohaythar121)) Valer ((busynarcissist)) or Caden ((Caden_Cathaldus))
