The Houses

This is a idea for slayer, so i talked to ambros and discussed the idea. We didnt decide much but i got some names and im gonna write some lore. So first ill discuss my house.

House Basilisk

Current leader - Ogland Teran

Lore - Ogland was born in snowy fields. He lived there for many years with his mother, julie, and his father kalbin. This was all before the undead crisis and anything like that. Unknown to Ogland at this time was that there was a ruin below the city. One morning ogland went out to sit by the fire and watch the stars. While sitting there he heard the ground below him crack and move, and it head towards snowy fields, he got up and walked after it. Once it got to the walls the bump stopped moving to the town and seemed to go down into the ground. Confused he walked to the front gate and heard a scream from a familiar direction, he saw a shadow of a snake like figure sitting in the window. He tore through the street towards his home. Once blowing through the door he saw both his parents laying dead on the floor with the unmistakable white eyes that happens when looking into the eyes of the basilisk. Then the gutter shuttered, he looked to his left and saw the greyish green tail of the basilisk going down the drain. His eyes returned in horror to his parents. This was the only encounter with this in his travels, but it has made his entire life change and this is why he envys the , even though the horror it costed him.

House Oak

Current leader - Ambros

Lore - (( i dont have exact lore for this house yet. but this is roughly it )) When ambros was a druid he went on a year long journey, but he was sick and was starting to die. His old bones were weathered from the rain. He was in long deserts with no shelter in sight. In the distance he saw the form of a tree sitting in a oasis of lush green grass. there he stood for many days in nights until someone found him. when leaving the oasis he looked back and took one final look at the tree that saved his life.

House Stone Bear

(( this one is supposed to be tehlulu but i cant get a hold of her so this is just one im making up to fill space ))

Current leader - Lothiriel

No it's spelled right. As for the actual post, could add a lot more to both houses that are currently being worked on.

Well, I think this would work if there was a large amount of people part of the guild. But since there isn't it just seems to be another title. Of course you can do some house vs. house competition and sabatoge, but are there enough people for that?

Yes, there will be, the guild has barely began to tap the recruitment. With the new world you will see the guild in full swings actually recruiting and actually partaking in the world of aegis.

I like the overall idea, however, of having different groups inside the guild. I'd ask each house leader what they want to be called. You have a basilisk vs bear vs tree? It's pretty obvious whose going to win. How about you just do a snake? I wouldn't like to see much competition between the houses, but I think it would be a more distinct way to get help. The house you are in could consist of 1 Arch-Mage, 1 Guild Master, 5 Mages, and say 10 Apprentices as the limit? You'd be able to see whose in your house, and goto them directly if you need assistance.

-However, if we do this, Slayer would have to add more onto the mage tower, considering the seperation of house rooms and such.

All in all, I kind-of like central the idea, for when we get alot of members. We will have many, many apprentices, and it would more orderly with the houses idea. Apprentices would have 1 Arch-Mage to study under, along with 1 Guild Master. (Not including teachers)

In the end, it's up to Slayer in my opinion :)

I encountered the same problems when asking humans to create houses, there wasn't a point in them.

Just throwing a suggestion, how about once every 10 years, a council representative will vote which house will rule the mage council, and gain full access to magical supplies to be distributed. Obviously this is a huge advantage, and would strive for the best houses to be on top.
