Sophomore in high school who used to play RPG’s (I used to also play Team Fortress 2 competitively) and am very interested in roleplaying. I do waterpolo and swimming, as well as take classes at a college.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I would say about 2 hours a day, probably a total of 15 hours a week

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying is when one pretends to be a specific character. This newly created person then earns a name for himself, and gains a personal backround history. You effectively create a whole new life for yourself. The thing is though, you can't bring the other life into the roleplaying life, its supposed to be an entity of its own. Though I have never role-played before, I am hoping to become just as experienced as you guys !

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming - Using resources to gather “illegal” information about someone. This means that you used your real life information (or whatever other forms) to cheat and learn about someone else’s ingame life. An example would be me knowing someone or something without ever meeting them in game

Powergaming - Is when one becomes power hungry and seeks to be the very best (Pokemon reference +1 !). It is a person who makes their character overpowered and is unkillable, or is extremely powerful.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I really have no idea of what to expect, I am hoping it will be a wonderful place. I am picturing it to be a server that has four general areas and within those areas are perhaps cities or city-states. And that all the characters would behave like the would as a real entity (not a person playing a computer generated being). I am hoping to make a large amount of friends (hopefully pertaining to my race too) and work with them.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I used to play on SuperFunTime but it has changed to much for me. I have been playing MC since middle alpha and the server has gone from complete survivability to almost creative.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

As a young boy I lived beneath a tree which was adjacent to the lake. I had many friends while growing up, but as time went on, everything changed. My friends slowly grew apart from me, they spent more time together, and less time with my. I began to feel a bit lost, and I created a small and tight group of friends. Together, we left home and became a traveling group of boys at the mere age of 16. We eventually learned to live of the wild, honed our combat skills, and often dueled together. I eventually became the greatest shadowrunner of them. From my kingdom a shadowrunner is one who runs like breeze on a cool autumn day, and strike like a venomous viper in the dark.

One day, our group was ambushed by a group of slavers, and they sought to bound us in shackles. All of us tried to get away, but I was the only one successful. I have now walked for many days and am seeking refuge in your wonderful kingdom of Aegis.

As of right now I am nearing about 23 years old and have sun bleached brown hair. My friends often like to refer to me as a fish, for I enjoy the water much more than the average elf. I enjoy the shadows as much as I do the light, but do mind extreme heights. Though many know me to be quick to talk, I am not so ready to unsheathe my blade. Living on my own, I have been forced to eat the slimmest of items, causing me to be less than average size, but don’t let that fool you! After leaving home at such a young age, I have little knowledge on how to read and write. My fingers are always itching for some more money, and have seen the pockets of many. Though talented with daggers, my hands have seen some action with bows

Your characters ambitions:

 I am seeking a group of travelers who will come with me and live as I had lived before. I wish to find refuge in the trees, and a home by the water. In addition to my trained skills I am quite brilliant with what our kingdom called, redstone. I am ready to defend my race and support our cause.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

 

At a first glance, I stiffen up and recall my terrible accident back in my old domain. Though my gut tells me to run like I did with my old friends. Shouting out to the bandits, I ask what they do. They hear me not. I decided to stealth-fully approach from behind. Twirling my dagger, I step forth from the shadows and the shinning blade slits the first mans throat. The second bandit turns toward me and I am terrified at what to do next.

Untrained in direct combat, I initially seek out cover back in the woods. Yet I am unable to run away, leading him around a tree, I swing my leg around, causing his knees to buckle and he falls to the ground. Once more I whirl my dagger in my hand, shortly ending the blow with a knife sticking out of his body. Bounding over to the beaten Elf, I help him up and asks if he would like for me stay the night with him. Nightfall was soon on us, and the swishing on the river lulled me to sleep. In the morning I wake up, only to see a note on my bed, “Thank you for disposing my enemies for me, signed-- Your Friend” I began to think to myself if I had done the right thing, perhaps this wasn’t really the elf’s house...

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Greetings ! I am seeking the seeds of a white tree that will grow to be about four blocks high. In addition to the first order I would like to buy a a starters kit consisting of: A crafting table, stone set of tools, and a furnace .

Excellent work, probably one of the most unique answers to both the scenario questions I have ever seen. Better still you mentioned that you character does not know how to read or write, which is something many people forget about.
