An Honest Day's Discussion

Positioning himself to face the men viewing him with heated eyes and tempered accents, Gaius leans his head ever so slightly with respect and begins to address them. One of them shouts a curse and claims that he is illegitimate, while another cries out Ezekial'Tarus's name. Nodding his head at the hearkening of that man's name, he looks up and begins requesting his audience. After learning that Tarus was away, he and others begin to find their way into the Galahar Inn and a collective of men sit or lie in different places making for a more relaxed scene than what was so tensed before.

With the bargaining of words, the collective have agreed to wait for Tarus to begin discussing a new form of Ruling.

You looked like a good king...I will never forget your raid on the blacksmith. It was dispicable. The soldier you ordered to take the items barged into our smith. He went to the chests, and stole all of the valuables. You should be happy we did not catch his name...

((gaius, if Throdo and axl can be present, can I be present also?))

((This was an informal discussion we had. Anyone was welcome, and a few others were there but left earlier))

This discussion cleared up a few nagging questions. There are many claims to the throne now, with Eze'kiel Tarus and Gaius Marius perhaps the most prominent. I was supporting Tarus before, but now I am not so sure... Both seem to have equally compelling arguments.

I couldn't care who takes the throne. They wont have much of an effect on us regular citizens. What I do care about is Galahar. I want it to be in the hands of a man who is one of us. Who can improve the town. Who cares about its people.

Tarus is not this man.

He has not lived among us. He simply arrived and threw us all into pandemonium. He may be of noble birth, but he has no place in Galahar. The town should be controlled by Braxis, or another man who has lived here for years.

The knight lord would still retain control of Galahar, no matter which person is king.

There are two signs in the main gate saying "Galahar is under the control of Eze'kiel Tarus" or something similar.

Eze'kiel Tarus has been among Oren for years. Doubtless you have passed his manor numerous times when Al'Khazar still stood.

Of course I did. And if this would have been Al'Khazar I wouldn't be saying these things. He has never done anything to benefit Galahar, nor it's citizens.
