The fortday after this, we will once again celebrate with DunFest! All who come with joy and peace are welcomed, and I shall hire a hedge mage to open a portal to the town when the time comes. There is more news, however, aside from DunFest.

In a times of danger and peril, the peaceful halflings have typically shoved society away, preferring the safety of seclusion. However, the Undead threat grows greater with every day passing. The lands grow colder, the harvests more scarce. Yet we halflings of Dunwood did little to assist when we are in possession of warmth and food. Indeed, so secluded were we, that our population has dwindled to very few, and even the Dunwood Mayor has been missing for some time. As one of the last living Elders, I invite all halflings, and indeed, those of other race or creed to come take shelter in one of the last places of peace on Aegis. I cannot promise much, other than food, ale, and a good time. All may stay within the abandoned burrows of the town, and I shall place extra beds to make sure there are enough. On a side note, any druids wishing instruction in a non-forest environment may wish to visit.

As well, in times of shifting power, the security of the halfling life is at stake. With Oren divided, it is not clear where the halflings will invest their allegiance, for most ignore us, despite our vast wealth of wheat and other supplies... At this time, Dunwood will remain a town under Oren, of course, but not under a particular leader or nation unless convinced otherwise. Perhaps after all of chaos and the Undead threat has settled town, should it ever, we will pledge allegiance to a faction. We welcome everyone, however, to come visit or stay if you wish.

For those who do not know, Dunwood is located in a valley due west of Al'Khazar.

Practically everyone is welcomed with open arms, as long as they wish no harm to citizens of the town.

All are welcome, indeed, but mind yah, yah'll all be carefully watched fer awhile. Most of the town 'as been abandoned fer many years, but thar is at least one burrow still occupied regularly - that of the Mayor, and Ah won't tolerate any disruptions tah our peaceful way of life.

Owen Sturdyfoot is/was the mayor of Dunwood. The mayor and the Elders essentially rule and oversee the town.

DunFest is this very fortday, everyone! Prepare yourselves for a good time!
