shiftnative 3103 Share Posted December 23, 2011 The following Factions, had quarrels at each others doorsteps and decided enough was enough. They chose to sanction a fair fight, far from the mainlands of Aegis in a place only refered to as "the badlands". Five from each faction met traveled to the badlands and prepared themselves within the walls of their small wooden forts. The Knights of Horen Ser_Dalien, Ser_Gilneas, Urir_Ireheart, Hunter_Hayden and Gideon Silverblade. The Shad'Rin Kaneous Warbux, Malco, Arthus, Vincent, and Reynard Lycian. Between the two forts lay a hilly meadow, sparsely covered by broken brick and tall grass. They stood valiantly on their respected walls and looked across the field at one another, sizing up their competition. In-time they called out to one another, confirming they were indeed ready for bloodshed. Both factions agreed. The Knights of Horen pour out of their keep, toward the Shad'Rin Fort. As they neared the Shad'Rin fortress arrows were fired out from atop the walls and stuck firmly into the soil around them, some putting dents in the Knight's diamond pauldrons. Two of the Horen knights pulled axes from their hips and began to strike the wooden walls. Reynard Lycian of the Shad'Rin fired arrows down into them before being struck by one of the Horen Knights wielding a Bow. After tearing down the northern wall of the Shad'Rin fort the Knights poured inside wielding diamond blades. The clash of steel and gold was violent and ater exchanging many blows the Shad'Rin's numbers were falling. After his allies were wounded, Reynard Lycian was the only Shad'Rin left.The knights climbed the walls and as they surrounded him he leapt down to flee. He was fatally wounded outside the fort on the forest floor where the Knights of Horen stood over their enemy and reveled in their victory. After they collected their thoughts & supplies the knights traveled back through the wilds toward Galahar to celebrate and reunite with their allies.
