Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am currently in my last year in University with a focus in Humanities. I have always been interested in fantasy worlds and the endless amounts of individual universes created by our fantasies. I am also an avid fan of Minecraft and have been playing it since 1.4 with my girlfriend.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 14 hours +

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying, to me, is broken down into the two fundamental elements of the word: role and play.

A role is given to all participants who, at one point or another, interact with one another. Every role is different and every role is fulfilled by one person or another. Some carpenters, some blacksmiths, and some knights and vagabonds. Our roles are defined by how we contribute to the overall community, as being a character.

Playing is the act of engaging in an activity for the purposes of delight. Role Playing, then, is quite literally the act of playing a role. Roleplaying means that one adopts the role in which they have been bestowed upon them, to accept that character as their selves and to live it out in our digital, fantasy realm.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is applicable in events where an individual has information that their character has not learned through the game environment. The wrong use of metagaming would be to abuse this knowledge for the sake of benefiting one's characters.

Powergaming happens when two or more individuals conflict in the events that occur during their roleplay interaction through the use of occurred/occurring events such as: Player A kicks Player B down a flight of stairs and Player B dies.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be mature and active, with lots of various and interesting characters.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Super-Earth: the entire server is donor based and immaturity runs rampant. The markets were controlled by few and they had basic monopoly on everything.

ImDeity: Was not interesting. The community was lacking.

FyreUK: I visit occasionally still. They are a creative server and exists more for appreciation of art and design rather than gameplay.

How did you hear about us?: I found out about this server through my girlfriend, peachi3xx, who is also applying.

Character Name: Griffith du Mont

What is your Race?: Human

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Short Bio: I, Griffith du Mont, am 25 years of age and am the youngest son in the 'du Mont' blacksmithing family of 7. Since my father passed away before I was born, my mother raised me by herself; I was the only child who was raised solely by a woman. Needless to say, I grew up surrounded by the sound of metal being refined and hammered and the smell of leather being tanned. While my older siblings accepted their fate as blacksmiths, I knew in my heart that an adventure is always just around the corner. At the age of 16, I set off on an adventure to see the world, picking up a skill in mercantilism in my travels. I eventually met and wed Kyra, despite my mother's and her parents' protest.

Appearance: My background naturally molded my physique to become worthy of becoming a blacksmith. I dress as casually and light as possible due to the fact that I am frequently traveling.

Personality: Despite my background, I am actually a pacifist. I believe in the natural order of life and that our currently unbalanced world will eventually balance itself out. Generally, I try not to directly take action in events unrelated to me, but my sense of justice always gets me into unnecessary trouble; although not all of these actions were necessarily, bad, shall we say? *wink*

Your characters ambitions: My goals are to see the world and all it has to offer. Where safe roads end, mine begin. My quest is to travel to find the world's most bizarre and unique treasures with my beloved Kyra.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

[narrative]Being born of a blacksmith family and many years of being taught sword-handling by a blacksmith mother has allowed Griffith to be able to defend himself.[/narrative]

[Thinking to self] If the elf has handled himself thus far until my arrival, perhaps he may be skilled with a sword. If only this could end peacefully... [/end thought]

I approach the bandits with both hands up and say, "Halt! What fairness is this, two ganging up on one? Perhaps we can talk rather than fight."

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"Good day [insert Shop Owner's Name]! How have you been keeping as of late? I come today to purchase some flowers for my beloved. I hear the Red Rose blooms quite well this time of year and would love to have a look myself. Would you happen to have any Red Roses?"

Very nice application I can't wait to see you in the city!

I especially enjoy that your character is a pacifist, the bandit scenario question was very very original. Many of the others just kill the bandits off. I liked the dialog and inner thought as well.

I look forward to seeing your character around. You seem like you will contribute greatly to the RP.
