Explaining Dwarven Clans

Recently and on my Census I saw lots of dwarves who were not in a clan. I have also talked to quite a few who didn't know what a clan did for them. So I decided to make a post explaining what the clans are, how they benefit who, and what clans there are.

These are the 7 clans that are official right now:

The Ironguts: http://www.lordofthe...0-irongut-clan/

The Starbreakers: http://www.lordofthe...arbreaker-clan/

The Blackaxes: http://www.lordofthe...__1#entry123411

The Braveaxes: http://www.lordofthe...h__1#entry70978

The Goldhands: http://www.lordofthe...-goldhand-clan/

The Frostbeards: http://www.lordofthe...ards-clan-page/

Irehearts: http://www.lordofthe...__1#entry192829

I will start with why you should join a clan and how it benefits you:

First off, they are many clans and you may not know which one is right for you. Later on I will show what each clan specializes in. Joining a clan can give you much more fun and a bigger insight on the workings of the government perhaps giving you the vital experience you need to get a place in the Dwarven Government! Each clan has a clan house or some other meeting place where you can go and meet other clan members. Clan members give each other support by having community chests to store items, food and sometimes even armor. Most clans even have a member in the government who can help get you and your clan a boost. If they have the power to appoint people into positions you may find yourself with a decent job if you serve your clan well. Take for example the most recent appointment of Tarion as Head Guard by Broski even though he had never served in the guards!

Now, to what each clan specializes in so you can join the one you want:

What a clan chooses to specialize in effects their relationship with other dwarves. The clans tend to have many more tools and stuff to help the members gain experience in that area.

*Note: These are taken from the clan's lore and may not be 100% correct, if you would like me to change yours please tell me.

All these are taken from my post here: http://www.lordofthe...99&p=189206&st=

The Ironguts:

Asserting from the bio that Hiebe made up, I would say the Irongut is most suited to be the miners, architects, and blacksmiths.

The Starbreakers:

According to Arbek the Starbreakers are mainly dwarves who Smith, mine and some of them have gained the high honor of crafting Golems.

The Ireharts:

A mercenary clan, they are the best fighters, mercenaries, soldiers, officers in the whole of the dwarven kingdom. You can bet on the Ire'heart to make a difference between a charge and a decisive victory. In charge of handling the legion, or most of the legion's officers should be from this clan.

Braveaxes:

Well, its hard to decide any specific role from the lore, but I can say that Gilneas was a traveler, thats why he had met other races and got the dwarves more involved into the outside world with foreign diplomacy and politics in Kal'Urguan. Diplomats, Spies, Assassins, Advisors, should come from this great clan.

Blackaxes:

Honestly the lore doesn't state what this clan is good at, but seeing as the only position left is harvest, the Blackaxe should fall under that. And them being in a mountain region means they are self sufficient and lumberjacks.

Goldhands:

I would say that according to their biography they would be the merchant clan of Kal'Urguan.

Frostbeards:

According to their leaders description and the later guild lead by them in their town, they are the mercenaries and fighters of Kal'Urguan alongside the Irehearts who seem to be losing power.

Please give me any suggestions to make this better!

Based on our in game history, Blackaxes tend to specialise in diplomacy and occasionaly raid towns we dislike, acting independently from the Dwarven nation itself. For example, Bazian was a diplomat, then High Lord of Politics/Diplomacy while I'm the Grand Councilor of Politics/Diplomacy. Braveaxes seem to be more specialised in combat to me, or maybe the economy as they tend to own a lot of shops.
