One could argue that the monks stress the need for such per-meditated battle as they will be healing all of our half mangled bodies

What we've provided is a fair way, for things to happen. You can still attack a place with a "surprise" but it will need a villain app. You can only kill their players, pillaging and seiging aren't available without this OOC contract. We all have lives to deal with. If you have a way of actually turning your view into a rule, please bring it forward!

Hopefully, this being the internet and I am unable to proclaim your intent, you aren't suggesting that I don't have a life to deal with likewise. As I believe I stated, if need be, I can quote, I suggested that the rule I objected with be altered in terms of skirmish and pillaging.

Why Pillaging? Because cprivate will protect chests, GMs can be alert if the leader of the other nation or guild, etc. did actually proclaim the pillage possible. If the GM has no information pertaining, well then he won't be opening said chests and this pillage will have more roleplay weight than item count :)

The new rules are cool. But you put people can only steal in the wilds up to like 1/5 or something. Does that mean they can't steal in the mainland? And does that mean people with Va's can steal as much as they want from anywhere?

You said normal people can steal 25%. Now is that 25% of the value in the chest, like if there was a ton of bread, and one golden sword, he could only take the sword, or 25% of the items, as in they could take all of the valuables and leave the junk.

Also, how could this be monitored?

Not to mention, somebody could toss all of their junk into a chest with maybe only three valuables in it, then take the valuables, and say they took 25%, as the chest owner has no way to prove this other than regular screenshots of their chest, which is impractical.

I'm glad to see the death rule is much better clarified, and 20 minutes is a much better amount of time. It's much much much better to see it as sometimes you'll get through some really good rp, then "700 Minas or die!" You die, you forget all that rp. Instead with the way the rule is you remember leaving talking to your friend...but you don't exactly remember what you did after that.

If you wish for me to write it in the sense that it was a 'Rule', here it is; the following.

Skirmishes may be acted out without predetermined place, time, or location so long as said 'Leader' has a villain application. To cut off any shortcut by ill-desiring players, there must be a 'Commander' that is by Lore predefined capable of leading soldiers into battle; he is the one to hold a villain app which explicitly states that he leads men into battle, skirmishes that have the element of surprise are considered a form of guerilla warfare and thus MUST be stated that he does such acts.

Pillaging may be allowed by Generals aforementioned if once again their villain application explicitly states it and does not need a predetermined place, time, or location. The only items allowed to be looted if not within a cprivate chest are: weapons, tools, armor, and food. This is considered by the realism of what a plundering armies would most likely seek. If the plundering was not agreed upon OOCly, then a Game Moderator Will Not open any cprivate chests. If in the case the plundering was confirmed by the victims, cprivate chests will be unlocked for a short duration of time for specified individuals for the sake of keeping as organized as possible. Specify the 'robbers' beforehand so that they may be enabled to open locked chests.

Siege: Keep the same, the rules make more sense, I wish I could siege at the speed of light.

Not sure what you're getting at here but, the attackers present the defenders with their terms. We'll most likely have a in-game meeting for things like this, at the cloud temple with the monks present.

You don't need a villain application to use these battle types. If you have an RP reason, it is valid.

I'm just loling at the fact that the no-cybering rule is getting such negative feedback.

Honestly, people, just get a girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever suits your fancies.

Attackers meeting defenders IG to discuss OOC things? Cataris won't like that.

My point is, is if I wanted to take an army to pillage at the dead of night, I shouldn't have to let the guy know that I want to Try to take things, because for all I know, all of their chests are Cprivated and thus I don't gain anything but the Roleplay that I did in fact do such an action.

And wait, we are meeting in-character to say 'Hey, I want to take your booty, can I have your booty and what day can I take your booty'?

(PS: I had to be a bit snide with this comment

Identifying a person whom is wearing a helmet or wearing a hood where you cannot see their face is metagaming.

This makes me a VERY happy panda. I can't tell you how many times someone has worn a skin where they wear a hood but their face is completely visible, and yet they wish for anonymity. It drives me insane.

Not true, if you're interested in pillaging an encampment, you file a war type to the GM's, and fight for it. The GM's will open the chests for you.

We aren't interested in players pillaging while people are not there because of OOC. If they were online, they'd probably be able to defend, this at least gives them the opportunity OOC.

What I do see wrong with pillaging however, is the possibility of players moving their loot & storing it somewhere else.
