TOWN CHARTER

MC Name:

Religious_Pie

RP Name:

Horus_Hathorn

Town Name:

New Sorovitz

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

My character is starting this town, after becoming a fare-old Property mogul within the City of Konigsburgh, after initiation into the Order of the Black Cross, The current landmeister Mirtok realised the building potential held within Horus, it was upon the purchase of a small plot, that Horus showed his true talent for architecture, and the words that came from the landmeister's mouth after he had first seen what Horus had built were; "Build more", from then on, the majority of shops, homes were built by Horus, and a select few o hired helpers, but the styles and architecture were his own.

After the construction of the main-complexes of homes, shop, guild-houses and warehouses had been completed, Horus bought up various buildings, that he had previously built, it was upon this foundation of owning property that the presence of the Hathorn family became fairly well-known within the city, it was upon these foundations however, that Horus realised, the confinements of Konigsburgh would not be able to with-hold the plans of his family, with determination in his heart, and support from the GrossTrebler Vanus, and the landmeister Mirtok, he went to see the Hochmeister.

After long speech with the Hochmeister, it was settled, Horus would take charge of the outremelands, and claim it as his own. With gusto and determination, New Sorovitz was built. It's main purpose upon the server, will be to supply it's allied towns and nations with Food, Lumber, and hopefully metallic commodities. It will also claim a strong military, that of which is similar to the training tactics of the Black Cross now.

Lore (own added question):

Perhaps the town was made to be despised, perhaps the town was made to be a revolutionary settlement, perhaps the town was made to simply grow, why New Sorovitz was made, is not known, what makes it despised by the HochMeister Himself, is the profound use of Magic and Alchemy within it’s walls. From the LandMeister Horus, he wishes for his people and himself to be accepted by the Hochmeister, fore he knows of the Hochmeisters fear of new powers, powers only mastered by the experimental-ones, but then again who’s to say he is wrong? New things, bring new disasters, perhaps fighting and living in the Old ways is the only sure-fire way to survive within these harsh lands. It is truly controversial for why Sorovitz should remain, and why it’s walls should be under Teutonic Rule, but until the decision has been made, Sorovitz lies under the Banner of Hanseti.

The History of Sorovitz is shrouded in mystery, not the foundation, for that story still continues down to the freshly born generations, as the HouseMeisters tell of Horus’ determination to entrench himself into these lands, but the reason for Arcane practice, only 2 know, the LandMeister Horus, and his loyal ZauberMiester. And thus, the mages became a strong force within Sorovitz, and the reasons, on1348, Was around the year that Sorovitz was ‘established’, fore the town was there from the 1200’s, as a small farming village, with a group of Novice technicians acting as what would now be called the Masons, but as time went on, and the extreme winters forced the villagers to leave, the town decimated, and was eventually abandoned at the same time Horus had just reached Konigsburgh and enlisted within the Order. Horus could remember the town from walking along the roads towards Konigsburgh through the wilds instead of the Wooden paths, within the Outremelands, ramshackle walls protected the village, parts of it patched with thin layers of residue clay, and the walls of the houses not much higher in quality, it was dusty, the streets ran ripe with Moss, and the general feel of the Ghost-town was Sorrow, Horus however continued to make his way to Konigsburgh, to start his own story, unaware of how predominant this little town would end up being in his life.

The foundation of the Council, was mainly those close to Horus, skilled practitioners of different trades, he had found importance within the Order, not from War or skill in Blacksmithing, but the ability to design a house that had a charm, this ability, gave Horus importance within the Order, but mainly in the Landmeister Mirtok’s Eyes, ans Vanus’, the Grosstrebler.

Within only a week of Horus being in the Order, the Under-city and the North of the Docks existed mainly of his style of buildings alone, the newest, cleanest housing and shops, having a small “H” imprinted onto every installment of Wool. Horus had grew in importance, and his wealth, already fairly high, he became a property Gaint within the Order, being only succeeded in amount by the Hochmeister himself, with stalls and Shops, built into Inn’s, the House of Hathorn was growing, and becoming more and more powerful along the way. However, a time grew, where Horus knew, the confinements of the City were too small for his plans, and thus, he went to see the Hochmeister.

He awaited outside the Grand Chambers, the only sound a faint scribbling of quill to paper, it hit the crisp paper of Horus’ Black Journal with a scratch each time, slightly blunting the bladed quill, easily being able to draw blood with only a quick stab. About 3 hours...Perhaps 4, Horus sat on the Stone-slab benches, awaiting the Hochmeister to call him in.

Since the day Horus joined the Order, he still bore the same clothes, with the same chainmail vests beneath it. Various slots were missing chains, and it sagged in several sections, it was worn and battered, a true statement of the War-like soldier that are accepted into the Order. Horus examined his vestments, when the doors he had stared at for hours creaked, and Samuel Stood there, examining Horus. Horus stood there, daring not to stare the Hochmeister back, the Elf was tall, but that was all could be seen of his natural self, the Old helm, that had once belonged to Gaius, now bore a green hood, with a silky golden trim, the helm was angelic, masterful blacksmithing that had seen more wars than the man behind it’s Iron. Samuel, looked up, and pointed at Horus, beckoning Horus to follow him.

The chambers were adorned with Banners, the white and black cross, splattered all over the room, hanging from every corner, the office was new, obviously, the bricks, still being able to grab dust, and pull it into the Air-holes in the cement. Samuel sat at his desk, at the Ripe age of 967, and spoke;

“So, Horus, Mirtok tells me, that you wish to establish a new town, under the banner of Hanseti, you understand the great commitment this entails, correct?”

Horus, looked at the helm, he wondered of it’s visions for a millisecond, and hastily answered;

“Of Course Sir, it is a great responsibility.”

“it is more than a simple responsibility Horus, a landmeister protects a mass of people, he will present the Flag of the Order, to deface your town, will be to deface the Order.” Sam replied, trying to catch Horus out.

“Sir, I shall protect the lands with all my might, and I assure you, the town shall be prosperous to itself, and the Entire realm, we shall give what we can, and expect nothing back.” Horus, trying to persuade the Hochmeister of the far fetched advantages.

“Well, I shall give you protection, but I will only determine you a fully fledged town of Hanseti, when the Town gives us something back.” Slight regret hung in the Words of Samuel, regret that had questionable authenticity.

Horus merely thanked Sam, aware of the worrisome thought that existed in Samuel’s mind, however, he planned to prove to the Hochmeister of what his town could perform.

About a year later, Horus had started the construction of his new town...upon the old ruins of Sorovitz, it’s land since revitalised and inhabited. The poor walls knocked down with haste, but the original housing, left as a monument to the original town of Sorovitz, it was upon the day that the keep was finished, that the plague that had infected Aegis arrived upon the town, the Undead assaulted, only a small barrage, and a newly mutated Undead, with flesh ripped from his bone, summoning wave upon wave of Pigmen and Zombies...New Sorovitz was easy kill for the town, it’s men slaughtered, it’s women and children hung from the lamp-posts, skinned, some still living in their undying pain.

Horus watched from the highest tower of the keep, tears rolling down his face, he could see the Zombified souless morons performing the tasks of there master, unaware of what they have done. The Order walked to the streets of corruption in New Sorovitz, to arrive to only see the dead, the town was destroyed, and Sam walked up the keep, to meet the decimated Horus. A faint torch, near to burning out, hung on the walls, it was the only light that lit up the body of Horus, his diamond armour lying on the floor, he sat at the desk, he mourned the death of his citizens, he saw Sam come in, and said;

“Sam...I shall rebuild, give me a week...please.”

Samuel shook his head slightly, but walked into the room to nod, only slightly, and stated;

“One more week, or this town is no longer under Hanseti.”

Samuel walked out of the room, as Horus, picked out a fresh parchment, and began inscribing plans for his City, when a man walked in, clad in blue and white robes, he had a suspicious, yet comforting aura around him, the man said that with only the will of Horus, his city could be restored.

Horus quickly agreed, and within the day, the town had been restored, it’s walls back, only it’s citizens were gone, now lying in the cemetery of Konigsburgh. Horus walked out of the town, and looked at the restored streets, he turned to his right, to see a a majestic building, with rims of gold and lapis lazuli, it was truly a spectacular building, the man in robes walked out of the keep, standing to the side of Horus, and said;

“All I ask in return, is a place to practice.”ly known to Horus, and the robed man, now called; The ZauberMeister.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

he form of political system that will be enforced is roughly the same as that of Konigsburgh now, the ranks, and council, are like this, in order of importance;

1) The Hochmeister; Master of Hanseti, his law is final, and must be followed, he is entirely capable to overthrow the Landmeister.

2) The Landmeister; Master of his town, the rule of the Landmeister, shall be the law, and shall show the direction of the town and it's possibilities, the Landmeister's word is final when dealing with his town, but is override-able by the decision of the rest of the council.

3) The Zaubermeister; The man who saved the town, when in it's desperate times, The Zaubermeister is respected within the town, also, when the Landmeister is not present, the Zaubermeister will take control of the town, and be head of all actions it takes, unless voted otherwise by the rest of the council, or the Hochmeister.

4) The Vorarbeiter; Head of the masons guild, the Vorarbeiter is head of construction and the supplies of the town, and shall be there to make sure money is passed to those who work in his guild, and to that of the Hauptmann for the military. When the Zaubermeister, nor the landmeister is not present, the Resourcenstammdaten shall take charge of the town, along with the Hauptmann.

4:1) The Hauptmann; Head of the military, the Hauptmann is equivalent to the High-Constable of another town, and is therefore respected and feared throughout the town, he will be there to make sure that the town is well guarded, prepared, and has an active watch of Guards and an Army ready to attack at any Order. The Hauptmann follows the same orders, from the same chain as the Vorarbeiter, and is equal to the Vorarbeiter.

5) Meister's; Those who have become powerful in the town, although they have no place within the council, the Meister's will have a large influence on the way the town is run.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

The town will follow the same law, and the same attitude toward nations and/or other towns, as does the rest of Hanseti, however, if personally affected, measures will be taken so that the town is not harmed, without taking anything back. The people of the town will mostly be farmers, miners and lumberjacks, working within the Mason's Guild.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

The town would be perfect to reside on a fairly large amount of flat land, but hopefully surrounded by a mountain-range, so the Keep shall have a place to sit, also, I wish for the entrance of the town, to be guarded by a natural stone bridge, with vines hanging from it's sides. On average, we would need about 50x50 plot size to begin the town, but we would largely hope we are able to expand.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

Architecture will be fairly similar to the rest that of what Konigsburgh is like now, here are a few examples;

The Masons:

The Working force of Sorovitz, people may enlist in the Masons, as long as they have no severe criminal record, and the Landmeister, and Head Mason believe they are adequate for duty, the Masons descended from the original band of rogue technicians that originally inhabited Sorovitz, but have since evolved into an elaborate, and complex system of redstone fanatics, and resource collecting workers.

There are two parts to the Masons, the first and the most predominant sector being the Resource-Workers, being given a modest living space, with no charge, except to work for the Guild, working in the lumber-camps, extracting ores in the mines, and simple gathering what has been sown in the fields, at first, as a Günstling, they are not payed, only when they become a higher-rank shall they get payed. The other side of the Guild, which actually requires some form of skill to be accepted into, is the Redstone Technikerns, creating the electricity that will help the town in defense, and general living, becoming a member of this part of the guild will result in pay from the start, there are only 2 ranks in the Redstone Technikern, TechMeister, and Technikern.

Ranks of the Resource-Workers:

1st: Gunstling: The backbone of the Guild.

Pay: 0 Minas p/RL week.

Accommodation: 3x3 Room

2nd: Goldsucher

Pay: 600 Minas p/RL Week.

Accommodation: 4x5 Room

3rd:
