Waking barely, his eyelids slowly lifting upward, quickly withdrawn afterwards as he flinches from the rush of light flooding his eyes. Hulegui swiftly enters the yurt upon hearing the struggle of awakening and anchors his arm over Sauros's shoulder; holding him up as Sauros begins to cough harshly. The dreamscape dissolves as suddenly as the light floods into his eyes, his throat coarse and his voice shaken and unclear as he objects to having left the sleep he became accustomed to. Hulegui gives forth a skin filled to the brim with water and offers Sauros to wet his tongue and mouth while he drains water from through his enclosed fingers forming a cup; over Sauros's face...

Sauros begins to point out of his yurt, sending Ashkhadar, Skunxa, and Magor throughout the camp. Skunxa is to investigate supposed ruins dwelling under the sands of the great desert in the east, rumor has it that an ancient people migrated through the very sands that blow and twirl into the plains daily. Magor has a more studious task, to initiate Kotansmani in helping him study and draw schematics for the siege weapons that stand near the Jahvid-lands, such as the ballista and trebuchet. Ashkhadar has the most complicated task of all, one that should not be dealt with unless with more manpower.

[i am heading to work, I got two quests out, one was completed, but I will allow one last chance to it. The Ashkhadar quest will need a separate reply to this thread to explain in surer detail. Please be patient with me, things are starting to heat up rest assured ;)]

Godfrey, sits on his throne unhappy and ill-stricken, as he hears another plea from another Baron of the east, complaining about the Subudai, Godfrey twirls his ring in his hands and asks ''And what has Duke Vallark done?'' The Baron replys pale faced ''Nothing sire, he sits in his keep'' Godfrey looks at him again his eyes piercing the mans skin as the Baron trembles, in fear his eyes to the floor.. ''Are you all weaklings can you not deal with nomads? You come and ask for the Kings Assistance with local matters If I come I shall come with army's If I come I shall strip all your titles away and take them for myself! A Lord that can not protect what he owns is no LORD at all! Fight or sew for peace pay them off! Bumbling fools! Out with you!'' He snarls. As he starts to think and motions for his scribe to come closer, the scribe takes his quail and rests it on the scroll as he starts to write what Godfrey instructs once he finished the scroll is handed to a Herald, and asked to deliver the message.

Herald_of_Nassau-Vianden.jpg

The herald bows his head as he starts to leave the court, mounting his horse, accompanied by two Bannermen. The Bannermen ride threw Salvus and reaching the Seventis border, the rest for the night and carry on there travel in the morning reaching the most eastern parts of Seventis, the start to scout the lands near Ensimor as the stumble upon the Subudai, as the reach the bannermen carry the Banners of Godfrey, the herald speaks. ''Hail thee Subudai strong willed of thy people thee are, I hath cometh onto they from my gracious Lord His Majesty King Godfrey Of Oren, in peace and friendship, The King hath asked of me to deliver his message to a Subudai he hath meet before hand Sauros Alanbatar I believe, If I maybe shown to him?'' The herald nods to the men and women, and waits.

Sauros walks out of his yurt, his thobe of dark green ruffling as the winds of the plains pick up; a look of intrigue and surprise barter for a chance to be revealed. He motions for the herald to enter his yurt and beckons for the Syrmataes to enter within as well, nonchalantly reaching for a sprig of incense and lights it and bears it's smoke around the yurt; giving forth provisions and drink to the guest. As he sits cross-legged, tucking his thobe under his backside to allow for a more modest representation of himself, he allows the Herald to give forth his message and receives it patiently; a look of interest beckons forth upon hearing that Godfrey wishes to meet him.

Addressing the herald and the Syrmatae combined, he informs of his wish to truly meet Godfrey for a second time to discuss any matters that would block amiable relations between Arethor and the Subudai; eventually deciding to meet King Godfrey at the Temple of the Monks in proper dress and kind respect. Informing his Syrmataes to rest easy and ensure that he will be safe, he sets forth into the desert; intent on meeting Godfrey.

Hun breathes into her cupped fist, shivering slightly at the cold, desert night-wind. Her hands warming slightly, she lets out a small noise of relief. Looking around, she scrutinises those who are gathered nearby. She wonders what all the commotion it.

Nearing the crater ravine, Sauros leans against his laminated composite bow and takes a modest tilt towards the mouth of the gaping ravine system. It has seemed that as of late, few Kotansmani, mostly of the Mongol Kotan; have claimed to awaken from dreams to the sound of skittering. After the death of Shindaxin, Skyl's brother, the ravine has been left empty and unexplored; the modest attempts of surface mining halted and Kotansmani avoiding the ravines after the last words of Shindaxin was spread about as concerned gossip. Peering into the wound within the earthworks, Sauros squints his eyes, yet fails to spot anything out of the ordinary. Slipping his composite bow briskly back into the leather holster worn over his left thigh, he turns his heel and begins to make his way upwards and away. After the last pebble cracks under his heel as he leaves, the faint noise of skittering rings forth from the mouth of the ravine; like the juices of a barren stomach churning...

[subudai, get ready for a hopefully intriguing and challenging quest. ;)]

Lupus sighs in annoyance as yet another shovel breaks from wear. Casting aside the broken remains of the shovel he stands and servays his tools so far. The channel look to be sound. Casting a look at the steep sand banks on the eastern side he makes a note to speak to Sautos about moving the sand back to avoid any collapses. Muttering a few curses Lupus takes another shovel fr where it is strapped to his back and bagins once again to dig away at the dirt to creat the waterway. The shovel jars sending a brief sensation of pain up Lupus's arms. Lifting the shovel he inspects the problem. Scowling he clears away the remaining layer of dirt to reveal solid stone. Lupus sighs deeply , yet more work, clearing all the earth from what turns out to me a heap of stone Lupus sighs and drips the shovel onto the ground at his left. He turns surprised as the shovel repeatedly clangs against the stone as falls into the earths depths. Lupus sighs and makes a note of the mouth of the chute and that it's location impedes progress further. Taking a flask from where it is strapped to his hip Lupus opens it and drinks deeply. Lupus closes the lid and returns it to his him. Lupus breathes deeply as the burning liquid sets his stomach and throat afire and the blood begins to pump faster in his veins. Taking a pickaxe from wher it leans ready against the wall if earth he lifts it up high over his head and sets to work at removing the stone obstacle.

Sauros stands, wide-eyed as he sees a group of Black Crosses make their way through the searing desert. Surprised at their resolve despite bearing heat upon their mail shirts, he chuckles uneasily as he notices; his very own footsteps bring him close to simply a mirage...

[RP Voided on Ursakar Raid and Teuton Attack as per Mogroka's Orders; we are not at any diplomatic stance with Hanseti. In other news, the quest location is complete, I will set up NPCs. The Charter is near completion.]

As Sauros sits within his yurt in his simple thobe, not readily dressed to exit and acquire the whereabouts and happenings of the Kotansmani of the Subudai and where they walk across, Noyan Timur rushes in; gathering his cotton robes that cloak over his lamellar chain underneath and slide onto his knees and readying himself for swift conversation. Taken aback at the quickened pace in which Timur moves to gain immediate conference with the Khagan, he addresses Noyan Timur by title and demands him to speak up; stuffing thobe cloth under his sitting position as to conceal any possible revealing of body parts. Noyan Timur places a bloodied falx in front of him, the long blade curved forward still holding vermillion stains and harassingly itchy black hairs stuck by the adhesive clotting of blood along the length of the falx; looking up with a serious visage and informing the Khagan of a strange occurrence within the Crater Ravine. Sauros immediately tilts his head upwards from the position of which he lent an ear and a lowered head of respect, intertwining his fingers and resting his goateed chin upon it and squints his eyes; urging Noyan Timur to elaborate on what he wishes to inform about.

Noyan Timur informs Sauros that he has sent forth three Kotansmani: Skyl, Galat, and Dahae. Placing his forearm across his chest, he stands up and stands the falx erect with the hilt buried slightly in the soil floor of the yurt and twirling the edge of the blade precariously with his right hand. With his free hand, he runs his pointer finger against the blade and retracts as he gathers the black hair along with a curdling gel atop his finger; the remnants of a blood clotting without proper nutrients to feed the process. Holding it forward for Sauros to observe, Timur mutters how the hairs seem to resemble those worn by arachnids in which Sauros leans back with widened eyes. After much discussion, Sauros comes to the conclusion that they may be encountering a species of spiders known as the Ankabut; in which through the many oral traditions of the Subudai were described as arachnids who grew to improper and harrying proportions when inhabiting niches that allow to become to top of the food chain.

Untitled-2_spider_attack.jpg

The oral traditions passed down by a millennium of fathers to their sons and mothers to their daughters have spoken of the Ankabut being a possible species of spider derived from the Mori'Quessir lands. The words sent forth through the generations was that the Ankabut, when allowed to fester and thrive in niches and habitats in which they can climb the food chain to be the most dominant predators; they can grow to larger and more dangerous proportions. The Ankabut vary in size, typically certain strains carry a lethal poison that would cause a deterioration of the nervous system; enabling the larger and more cumbersome Ankabut to engage in strong attacks against immobilized and harried prey.

Meanwhile, Timur and Sauros stand back up and walk outside of the yurt; vines splashing against their backs as they exit. Upon coming into view, a Kotansmani runs haphazardly towards them, a look of exasperation drawn across his face as he pants; slowing down and his knees buckling and he falls down with blood and sweat draining from his face. Lifting his face upwards, the Kotansmani appears unrecognizable as a diagonal gash disrupts his upper lip; giving him what would be seen as a palate lip. Sauros and Timur step backwards in utter horror, but quickly return to their calm demeanor and address the Kotansmani. As the Kotansmani begins to speak, he is taken by a shuddering seizure and quickly calms, his hands flat against the Earth and his head bent downward as he attempts to not stress; muttering how spiders have taken shelter within the ravine. Sauros bends down upon a knee and raises the man's face, first accidentally touching the palate lip, but lowering his hand further around the chin and lifting; observing the pupils which dilate and contract at random intervals. Just as solemnly as Sauros acquires further on the state of the injured Kotansmani, the Kotansmani slumps forward with his shoulders rolling erratically; leaving Sauros to the conclusion he originally had and states that he is affected by the poison of the Ankabut.
