Minecraft Account Name: pfung

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth? No

How old are you?: 27

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Canada

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?

That depends on the region of reference. Mainly because different implicit and explicit rules that are true to some regions and not true to others. For example, this question itself could be incorrect as "grip on" would implies a solid tangible object as oppose to "grasp of".

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

Eh, I like analyzing stuff just for the heck of it, so I sometime tend to miss the tree for the forest, or was that the other way around? o.O

How much time could you be on the server weekly?

Anywhere from 0 to 48hr+, really depends on irl circumstances and how addicted I would be on here.

What do you know about Roleplaying?

Basically, an actor. To take on a role/character of a given situation/setting/circumstance.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Megagaming is pretty much using "outside" knowledge and applying "inside" a given situation.

In TCG, that would be using a particular "type" of deck that would have a good ratio vs the current decks the other opponents are running. In RP, it's having your character "knowing" something that it shouldn't know (unless it's a Global Omnipresence Device) or something.

Powergaming I'm a little iffy on since the term might have changed (now I feel old >.>). In term of plain gaming, it could mean brute forcing a game (ie. exploiting a design flaw) to gain an advantage. In RP, it was forcing actions on other entities without their input (ie, "I threw a perfect nutcracker at the treant's nuts" as opposed to "I threw 1d20 at the treant".

What do you expect this server will be like?

No big expectation aside from enjoying the company and the story really.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?

Super-Earth - left due to their donor-based economy and other "issues" (catching one of their GM "pranking" another server is one)

Buxville - got a little too good (and a little obsessed) with the number game with their iconomy. IRL stuff and bandwidth became issues as well.

SomeNoNameServer - Was on it to help someone test their stuff. Having a time limit to destroy each other's town was wicked fun (although it got boring fast and was useless after the tests)

SomeOtherNoNameServer - Was on it cause I was asked to, was mainly freebuild.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?

I believe so

How did you hear about us?

Mid-last year, but didn't like the server at the time. I'm being asked to join this server to play with the people from SomeOtherNoNameServer.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

Yep, but I don't remember how to check the number :s I think it's 2933 (last number shown)

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

In-Character:

Character Name:

Feb Urrith

What is your Race?:

Dwarf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Age: 86

The Urrith family name held little, if at all, any position of power in Old Kal'Urguan. In fact, they were but a family of hard-working Engineers who made a meagre income through selling their rather odd contraptions. Yet, the Urrith family were no ordinary dwarves; they possessed an unusual ability most would consider a disability, yet others might call a blessing: the ability to ponder, and ponder so deep into their thoughts that you'd think he died and became a statue. In fact, would it surprise you to say that many of the Urrith name perished during the Undead attack? Really now, just what could they have been pondering?

Feb, however, was an interesting one. Instead of an eternal mental battle for the most logical choice, Feb would often, and with little thought, choose the option that made the biggest bang. There would be a reason for this, you see. Feb was a scrawny child, by dwarven standards, and was often mistakened for an human midget. As if fate had planned the perfect joke, Feb would also be blessed with a beard no bigger than a 2 year old dwarf's. Despite these rather, "undwarven" traits, nothing could keep Feb away from his experiments. One could easily tell who Feb is since his face is often ashened, with the exception of his eyebrows (for some odd reason), most likely from his experiments with fletching or the many mechanical intrigues he stumbles upon. As a result, no one knows what his true complexion is. Perhaps an attempt to make up for his lack of size, Feb found solace in things that went "boom."

As with any other dwarf, though, Feb was not one to ever part with his quint-a-day alcohol. He would rather drink Sewer Brew than drink water anytime of day, and would often forgo his meals if given the choice between it and his precious drink.

Your characters ambitions:

To create the ultimate tools of destruction where he could test his capabilities in the field of war. Either that, or you might end up finding him pondering how to create the best tasting ale. Or he might be just pondering what to wear for the day. Few know what goes on inside Feb's mind.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Feb would first check to see if he is properly ale'd up. If, for some reason, he did not happen to have ale on his persons, he would probably take advantage of the situation and rummage through the cottage in look for some ale before taking any further action. If he did have alcohol on him, Feb would find a safe spot to have his drink and watch the events unfurl. Depending on his level of drunkenness, Feb might even charge in under a fit of drunken stupor.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Feb would look at the shop owner and then inspect the wares on display. He would then take a step backwards, out of the shop, and read the sign. Most likely he would have made a drunken mistake, thinking that this shop might've been a tavern. Still though, Feb would ask, "'Ey you! Where might a dwarf find himself some good mead?!"
