Dwarfs! As ye might 'ave seen teh city was in ruins as we arrived te Asulon. Teh king Thorik Braveaxe made a Dwarven Building Team, and tis will nao be renamed into teh Official Dwarven Architect Guild. Tis will be done so its better organized and structured, and te make it easier fer fella' dwarves te apply and te get permissions and te start doin' sum'!

Our Job

As a member of teh Architect Guild, ye will be working on different projects fer teh Dwarfen Kingdom. Ye will be assigned te work on sum', and ye will also 'ave a suppervisor that moniters teh progress. These projects will be started by teh king, teh council, teh master architects or based on ideas received frem dwarfs. That means ye will not be permitted te start working on sum' of yer own.

Other things we do is also te make sure that structures or towns in teh dwarfen kingdom follow teh same architecture.

When ye join ye will be granted teh rank "Rookie". In order te become an Architect ye must contact Magna Grimmhall (Ined) to take you on a tour around teh city to see exactly what architecture rules we follow. Dis is show te show teh master architects that ye truly want te be an architect. After teh tour ye will be given an assignment, sum te make, and based on how well ye succeed ye will be promoted. As an architect, ye are entitled teh rank "Architect" (ex. Architect_Magna_Grimmhall), if ye so chose te be known as that.

Keep lookin back ere te see current projects, and start gettin involved in one if ye are not or talk te anyone uf te master architects. If you are inactive fer too long and dont show any ambitions that ye want te stay as an architect, ye will be removed frem teh guild.

((Engineering

Being an Engineer is a new job in the kingdom. It has been added due to lack of knowledge and usage of technology and mechanisms amongs the dwarves. The main job would be to experiment to create new mechanics, and then making sure they work properly (for instance, during wars). The Engineering is a subdivision of the Architect Guild, and is ment to be hidden to prevent others from acquiring this technology. Also we don't want the same problem that happened to the Elves, when the Orcs found out about the experiments and decided to attack.

To become an Engineer you need to first be accepted as an Architect. You will still be known as an Architect, and you can't tell anyone of the things you are developing. You will mostly be working in the Engineering Hall, where you will need to properly document everything on books. I want this to be properly RPd, and to point every technology we are actually using to how we got it, and not just "I saw an orc activating a TNT once so now I know how to make it" or "my character learned how to make atomic bombs before he came to Asulon, so I know how to make it".

You will at first only be assigned small jobs so we can see how well you can RP new technology and document things,and afterwards you can start on your own projects. Once your mechanism is done you will be responsible for how it's being used. Say that you create a cannon; during every war you must be there to handle it since only you know how it works. Teaching others how it works breaks the main purpose of the division; to keep the technology secret.))

• Minecart system - TO COME

We need a way te move around in teh kingdom better. An idea is te 'ave a minecart system, with te central hub in teh dwarf capital. Te' system will be connected by havin stations in various parts of teh kingdom in mines, and they would all be leadin to teh dwarf capital ((with teleportation system)).

• Te' great wall - TO COME

Due to current problems wid te orcs, a secure wall will be placed north of the dwarf lands, te cut off te north dwarven lands from te south. Dis is due to few outposts in the north, so if the orcs do attack we have a place to defend our lands. The walls will stretch from te water in te west to te end of our lands in te east, and will contain an outpost as well as a lumberyard and a farm.

Khaz'a'zharr Projects

• Teh cubby houses - COMPLETED

Every dwarf needs a place te live in! Teh idea is that every dwarf will get teh same size of teh house, fer free. Teh houses needs te be placed in a central part of teh city, to keep things gathered. As more dwarfs joins teh capital more houses will need te be made, as well as activity checks in teh future.

• Teh Entry Hall - COMPLETED

Just before you walk over the bridge inside teh city, there is a big hall that is empty. It needs te be fixed to luk better (for instance making the walls look more natural). Just dun forget that it needs te be relatively open, to prevent enemies from hiding behind objects (if they are attacking).

• Te' Archives - IN PROGRESS

A good archive is needed, to where we will store much of the information and history. Much of the design is already made, but we still need many bookshelves and te give it sum last touches.

• Te' Farm - PROJECT CANCELED

At teh far end of teh tree farm, an animal farm needs te be set up. It will host an open area fer teh animals so they can walk around on, and then rooms in the mountain to wher they will sleep. One room fer each type of animal, and a little shed needs to be made aswell.

• Meetin room - COMPLETED

Teh council will need a place te meet, and discuss current issues. Dis meetin room needs te be located a bit further from teh great hall, te prevent anyone from listenin. A corridor will be made to et, that will most likely contain bookshelves with information on the current members of teh council so dat dwarves can learn more about teh councilmembers.

• Securing Khaz'a'zharr - COMPLETED

Due to incidents where orcs and elves have managed to enter the city, better security needs to be made. This is to ensure teh safety of teh dwarves, both against a few bandits but also a giant attack against the city. Te guards will also get a trainin area.

Karik Projects

• Rocky Road - ON HOLD

Teh road leadin' to and from teh Cloud Temple! We've been busy fixing it and really turning it into a road. It 'as been put on hold since the monks actually want to fix it themselves fer payment or sum' since its on their territory.

• Teh Dwarf Harbour - PROJECT CANCELED

Teh harbour will be a huge mined area inside on of teh mountains next to teh city, and will be teh area wher other races will 'ave teh posibility te dock to come and sell items in teh city ((some ships will also be built and sold. When the fast travelling mod will be added owners will be able to set up a NPC on the ship to travel to their capital)). Teh project is huge, and we need gud miners and gud boat builders, as well as making teh docks and sum storage areas.

• Guard Towers and corridors - COMPLETED

Ther is no such thing as a city that is safe enouf'. Teh towers were in a horrible state when we arrived to teh city and most of teh towers 'ave been repaired, but ther is still much to do.

• Guard section - PROJECT CANCELED

Updates are being made to give a stable home to our guards and soldiers. This includes training grounds, shooting grounds, dormitories and offices. Its on hold fer now since teh guard section might be moved into teh collapsed cavern.

• Collapsed Cavern - PROJECT CANCELED

'omes are needed fer te dwarfs, and teh collapsed cavern was completly empty in teh beginning. We've been working on setting up commoner 'ouses ther, as well as added normal 'ouses in teh 'ousing district. But as moar dwarfs arrive to teh city, moar 'ouses needs te be built! Collapsed Cavern is planned to have guild halls in the future, or teh legion section. Teh cavern is being broken down.

• Religious Sector - PROJECT CANCELED

A new and modified religious sector is bein worked on. Tis new area will hold a kings tree, library,an artifact section, a newlywed section and much moar. Teh hall is huge and really needs te be mined out before we start working on et.

Grand Councilor Broski wants to make changes to the farm, and 'e needs several miners and a few builders te 'elp.

As outposts are being built and dwarfs move to the outer parts of the kingdom we will need a good transportation system. The idea is to have tunnels under ground leading to the capital, and eventually adding rails.

(( Ined, Exo come up with a rank system, like the legion or the smith's have. And fix names next to the ranks in this thread so you can see who is suppervisor and who is just a builder etc.

Maybe put up some pic's how dwarf architecture looks like :rolleyes:

And me were wonderin, will we 'ave a guild 'all somewhere? 't should be good to be buildin that!

((I need to know: can we substract skills we levelled while not really wanting too, as I do not want my character to excell in lumberjacking, but I will need lots of wood for those boats. And if yes, I will need permission for the area where the temporary lumberyard is next to the harbor, if no, I will require wood and if that is in the chest there, I will still need permission to open it ;) you can PM me with the answer too, might be easier))

Aye, Mili and Arbrek ye have both been accepted into teh guild. Ye will both need te take teh architect tour until ye are considered architects. Arbrek I need te talk te you about teh forge as well te see how ye might want it.
