Learning To Love People

Penelope hated her dad, with a burning passion. The man had left her in a hole for eight years for goodness sake! But he kept trying so hard to please her, he bought the cow, Bill, she used to play with from the farmer and gave her a crown. She started to warm to him, even if he did smell of fish. SHe opened her chest one day and found a book in there by Hikaru explaining how much he loved her, problem was though that she couldn't read and had never been able to. Hikaru smiled at her when she explained this and taught her how to read and write and for the first time she called him dad.

"Look! It's Sara, Isabelle, Annie and Croak!"

"You really love cows don't you sweetie?"

"Yes! Cows are brillaint!"

About three hours after Penelope had first called Hikaru dad they went out for a walk to find more cows because Penelope loved them so much. Suddenly an orc appeared out of nowhere and offered Hikaru ale. Penlope had always seen Hikaru as a drunk so she panicked and screamed at him, shattering their realationship once more. To spite her Dad Penlelope promptly married herself to a cow, Bill, in the basement but Hikaru never found out about this.

"S*** Hikaru S***" was written all over the wals because Penelope knew Hikaru hated that word and she had done it to make him angry but for unknown reasons it didn't work.

Soon after Jake knocked on the door and came in to see Bill and chat with Hikaru. While downstairs in the basement with Bill Jake found some ale in Hikaru's chest, and again Penelope though Hikaru was an alcholoic. SHe screamed and cried and yelled for a bit then she had an idea, one in hindsight she shouldn't have followed through with. There were there mugs of ale in the chest, perfect. Hikaru was upstairs tending to the melons when Penelope smiled and grabbed the mugs of ale, taking them upstairs. "Penlope, sweety put that ale down"

"THIS IS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO LIVE WITH AN ALCHOLOIC!"

After two mugs of ale Penelope started to feel sick but the third was horrendos and left her in a mess on the floor. Puke and blood covered the floor as Hikaru soulstoned her to the Cloud Temple where she was cloes to dieing untill Barry saved her. But in that moment when she saw her Dad fight relentlessly to make sure she stayed alive made something click. She suddenlly knew that Hikaru loved her just by watching him try to save her.

"And that's how you learn to love people" she muttered as she fell asleep.
