As a child my father was a noble, My mother was a go-getter, and patient with me and my father. My father, when I was young, would tell me of distant lands, and the races living there, Orcs, Dwarves, and Humans. As I grew older I read more and more about them, and learned of things that would help me be successful later on. I stopped having the will for learning for about 2 years, until a met a lost human. When my father took the lost soul in for food and shelter, I loved talking and learning about his kind. Me and him would stay him long nights of me just asking questions about humans. He even taught me how to shoot the bow. This was nothing like the books I have read. I started to wonder what I could learn from the Dwarves, if they would tell me anything, and the Orcs.

Being really nice I am easy to talk to and curious. I would sneak in to the library at night witch gives me great skills in jumping and running. When going to the library I started to learn how the other races talked and socialized. At age of 22 my mother and father died. So, with my fathers cape, I decided that I would like to experience the company of real Dwarves and Orcs. I might even try to bring back manuscripts that my town does not have for the children like me. My orange eyes and red hair separate me from many of the other Elves, I am very tall and light completed.

pYour application has been:

Denied

Do not worry though; this does not mean you cannot apply again, quite the contrary! After 24 hours you may apply again which gives you plenty of time to fix up your application, plan it out as well as use all of this advice which I have given you in this post to make your application one of the best. Please check the links at the bottom of this post, they will help you quite a bit.

Created

You have been denied because:

You need an example for metagaming.

While your definition is technically correct, I need you to write your own definition on the subject to prove that you did not just copy/paste from somewhere else, and that you really understand the definition you are giving.

Your biography needs work.

The main story of your character is alright, but you are missing quite a few details which you need to explain exactly who your character is and what he does/looks like. This is to show to us you have put a lot of effort into thinking about how your character will start out in the world of Asulon.

Please include the entire question when writing your biography such as your characters history, personality, description and age. With the description don’t just write He is tall and old and carries around a bow. There are a lot of tall, old people who carry around bows. Get descriptive; what is your hair colour? How long? Eye colour? Big eyes? Small eyes? Do you have wrinkles? How tall are you? Are you muscled or slim but agile?

You also need to add your characters strengths and weaknesses as well as reasons for such. For example, if your character is good at swordsmanship, bows or even farming you need to explain in your biography why your character is so good in what it does and how it developed these skills.

We would like you to include some lore from the world of Aegis and/or Asulon such as names of towns and people, or even events which have happened before and your characters connection to the event. You can find all about the lore of Lord of the Craft here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/wiki , or in the lore/history sections of the forum and website. The types of lore you can include can people places such as towns and kingdoms, or even people or events (such as the exodus from Aegis to Asulon which affected almost everyone).

The following questions need a lot more work put into them.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

These are not just times where you write one or two words, you need to actually describe to us What your character's tool is, and why. Why does he perfer Bow combat over Sword combat, why does he have said skilled talents. Also instead of saying Agility, you can describe to us what sort of agility he has. Even if it is mentioned in your bio, you can give a quick recap, even add some extra details in.

Your skin may need some improvement.

At the moment your skin does not look "elfy" at all, and I really do not get what your character is wearing. If you could explain that to me, and how it fits into Lord of the Craft I would be glad to let the skin in, but right now I do not see it fitting into the world of Asulon.

Your Open response answers needs improvement.

While it is okay to write in the style of:

"Your characters text." *Your character's action.* *Other characters action* "Other characters text."
Etc. If you are to do so, you need to be very descriptive with your emotes. For example, see the difference between these two emotes:

Zolgash sneaks behind the guard, and attempts to stab him.

Zolgash, breath coming quickly as he recovers himself - sweat beading on his brow - steps slowly forwards attemtping to quitenen his breathing. He steps on a twig, making an audible, yet quite, cracking sound. Luckily the guard had not looked around, so he continues stepping forward one foot after the other until he is a mere meter away from the Guard. He strikes out with his dagger...

Needless to say, you do not have to put THAT MUCH detail into a single action, but the more you write the more detailed you get! And the more detailed you get, the more your actions become enjoyable to read. Just think upon that for a bit :)

Basically I would like to see a paragraph for each roleplay situation, even the shop question. Some tips with the shop question:

-Do not just make it a quicky "buy something and leave" situation, there is so much more to be written.

-You can turn the situation into something exciting, perhaps the shop keeper is trying to rip you off, so you get in a fight, or perhaps the city guard come over and check the stall for illegal items and he turns out to be an evil mage or something. This is your decision, as your RP situation :)

-If you do not wish to turn it into something exciting, be as descriptive as possible. Include a dragonfly buzzing lazily by, the rushing of water in a nearby river, the rain drizzling slowly onto your forehead, the colour of the stall keepers hair etc. etc.

Please wait 24 hours or your application will be instantly denied.

This gives you a chance to have a cup of tea and read all of which I have provided, then give you a break and a fresh mind to re-write your application in the required areas. This is also to prevent the spamming of applications, as if there was no limit we would be absolutely swamped with applications.

Please do send a PM my way if you are having any trouble understanding the application process or my feedback, I would be glad to help you. :)

Good luck for your next application!
