SDJFDSJNFDSLKJVNDFBN 315 Author Share Posted March 28, 2012 If Arkos is the god of learning and sciences((which is ironic)), here is what he might look like *holds up a painting*. An amazing picture, perhaps he is?

Tristan Uther 0 Share Posted March 28, 2012 Okay, because Renati allows it, I shall do the trials with Aerovine for her to become a priest when we next meet and give her a book on the gods to help her be a better priest. ((These trials will remain secret to the priests and shall never go out to the public))

Tristan Uther 0 Share Posted March 29, 2012 The Trials of a Priest/Priestess ((There are 4 trials for the gods and a last trial will be added for Arkos later. The first trial is to Balthakrieg. At sunrise, one must create a fire. [Normally one would go to Pine Harbour at the Brazier of Balthakrieg, but not until better methods of travel are made] After the fire is made ye must use a mixture of herbs and other objects [Will post the ingredients later] and mix them together with pure water. Then pour the mixture over ones arm. After doing so cry out, "May this priest/priestess be blessed with the power of Balthakrieg and his courage." Then you shall stick that person's arm in the fire and take it out. That person's skin on the arm used will never char nor be burned from heat, but it is fatal in the cold. The next trial is to Aerial and shall be done so by just take a red rose and have the priest/priestess stand still with the flower in their hands. Then cry out, "May this priest/priestess be blessed for Aeriel and her peace." The third trial is to Naura and shall be done so by bringing the priest/priestess to a tree [normally the entwined tree] and causing her to take a sapling off and plant it by crying out, "May this priest/priestess be blessed by Naura and her power of Nature. Finally, Garth is honored at sunset. You do so by sacrificing a lamb under candle light and crying, "May this priest/priestess be blessed by Garth and his understanding of Death. [i may add more details but you get the point. Also, if you'd like it's okay if you you change up the wording and such.]))
Tristan Uther 0 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Aerovine Amedaius, Tempir's daughter, has decided to put off being a priestess for maybe later. I understand her choice to familiarize herself with the religion.
bickando 3967 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Yes, the religion should be well known before commitment to being a priestess is finalized. I completely agree with her decision.
bickando 3967 Share Posted March 29, 2012 I have just found a manuscript of Arkos while exploring a cavern. ((ignore this or use it for the religion)) As knowledge became discovered, Arkos began to glow a mysterious purple, blue, and orange color. Where the purple fell, the first three inventors were created, and these were to become the helpers of society, creating the pickaxe, shovel, and axe to help civilization. As it so happened, each of the inventors had more children, each one bearing a special gift for the Aegis. Where the blue fell, the first three alchemists were created. These created potions, poisons, and ale. The one that created potions had many children, each of them creating a new kind of potion. The one who created poison also had many children, each creating a new poison. The last one, the one of ale, had even more children, each of them looking for their place in the expanse of the world. Finally, as the orange fell, three more men were created. These men were named Logic, History, and Science. Logic was a man who would look at his surroundings before acting. History looked at the past before acting, and Science looked to the future while acting. Logic helped the people around him utilize their surroundings for everything they would need to survive. History told tales of the heroes that banished Iblees and of the past of the world, and Science helped the alchemists and inventors while searching for mistakes in their apparatus. When the three last men died, they passed on their knowledge to the world through a long forgotten item created by Science, a relic called Science's Knowledge, a book said to contain all of the knowledge of science, but as Science died, it disappeared into the Nether. As time passed on, Arkos soon disappeared from the minds of most men, and the inventors' and alchemists' families soon disappeared into the void, and Arkos lay down his head in a forest near the heart of Asulon, thinking that he was never to be seen again. -History, last of Arkos' remaining disciples. Arkos will soon be completely understood. ((Im using it, VERY well written.))

bickando 3967 Share Posted March 29, 2012 By studying the manuscripts, I might have found some key factors about Arkos(feel free to change it, only had 3-5 minutes XD)): God of Science, Logic, and History. Patron of Inventors, Alchemists, Professors, Logic, and Scientists. Said to reside in a forest near the Cloud Temple, in a deep slumber that, since it has started, invention has almost stopped. He blesses a mortal once or twice a decade, and, long since being worshipped, has very few people blessed by him. The only three Demigods to be blessed by him were History, Logic, and Science, all of which used their life force to give their knowledge to the people of Asulon.
