I know that he couldn't have signed this charter for he is the King of Seventis. Perhaps you should talk to some of these players listed because by saying "I support this" they don't actually mean they are signing it. Just go over the list...

EDIT: I love this charter. You have obviously put A LOT of time into it and I too hope to see it thrive, I wish you the best of luck and perhaps my alt may come upon the land soon enough ( ;) ). I support this charter ( I don't wish to sign, however. Fairfield needs me! )

((Soon people will be able to check the application thread, and possibly have a chance to be a part of the Nation, high up that is))

This is a treat to my eyes to see many nations alike this kicking up, this has a great possibility of greatness ahead of it, given the chance. It'd be more than justice to see this plan set into play.

A lot of people complain about how more nations would further separate us, but I think it would cause more IC conflict and therefore more wars and server events.

Danny, I think this is a really well thought out idea, but in light of recent events, I can't approve of it. RP is going horribly, we are barely recovering, and we're being spread even more and more thin as time goes on. Every time a new idea, or race, or nation is approved, it generally trends for a while and then falls down to a VERY small amount of players in weeks. I doubt that the server can continue on this way, or afford any more empty cities. Please don't take any of what I say personally, because I really think it's a great concept, I just needed to voice my opinions.

Don't worry I know abou that problem but you should have instead read the whole charter because in it it said that we will have weekly events to bring everyone together and we will also continue on a path to getting rid of all the smaller ghost towns in Asulon.

I think that in conjunction with Tigergamer's attempts to clean up the charter system, this nation will be able to help remove some of the random and empty towns across Asulon.

Yes, not only that but OOC we will get our bandits to make it difficult for the smaller towns to live that only have along the lines of 5 people making them move to a bigger nation or becoming part of a bigger community. Our bandits are along the lines of vikings in anglo saxon times.

NATION CHARTER:

MC Name: DanielSozonov

RP Name: Daniel (he will start the nation but I plan to have an alt character take over when Daniel dies in a future rp event I am planning)

Nation Name - include link to accepted Town or City Application:

http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/46752-city-of-endisia-waiting-for-confirmation/

This will have nothing to do with the city of Endisia and is a totally different nation.

What has driven your town to become a larger nation? or Why is this settlement choosing to become a nation?

We have vast amount of new ideas and are writing lore with those ideas ranging from the different deities that will make up the clans of Artharia. This land it will be nordic, it will be cultural, harsh and most importantly people will enjoy the role play we plan to offer. Not only that but we will also have new RP events almost every week always finding something new for citizens to enjoy while they spend their time in Artharia. Most importantly this will be a harsh and unforgettable place if you enter the "wilds" of the nation.

How active has your town been in the world? What history and events have occurred in your town? or What do you see this nation growing to become?

This is not an expansion of my previous town but rather a new nation that shall rise out of the dirt and form a giant golden statue to innovate and expand on roleplay as we know. I have seen many nation along the lines of Salvus, the now trying to become a nation seventis, and many others promising peace and protection. The only thing is that peace and protection aren't fun role-play wise but causes a comfort with people who don't want to lose their stuff. So I propose an empire where you can find chaos and balance. Inside the main city gate's you are safe and sound with people sworn to protect you but in the wilderness there will be tribes of vikings, disturbing creatures and as well as many more things that wish to decapitate you and floss with your guts.

How will your town evolve to adapt to this growth?

We will will have many set jobs with good pay that also offers housing we wish for people to not to have to work as much but leave time for great roleplay. This is why librarians and the head scribe are very important positions to us as a nation we wish to record our history and save it for the on-coming generation so they can enjoy the battles, the fables and most importantly the amazing well thought out characters that so much of our community has come up with and we wish to not lose. This is why we will also be pushing people who hoard items and that as their only interest to go out and enjoy the culture of Artharia.

Other Details:

The language of Artharia:

As I have seen countless of times with the orcish language that even talking gets more fun and expands on RP we will be offering the same in Artharia the language will be very anglo saxon (old english) as well as nordic twist on the words and some norse words thrown in to make it feel more nordic, this is the language as well as help to come up with place names in Atharia.

You see a book wedged in between Orcish language and Human language while browsing through the library you open up the book called Artharian language and read:

The Religion of Artharia

Aldrani ~ The God Of Flame

hephaistos___god_of_fire_by_swisspoly92-d3b4brl.jpg

Bible: The Followers Of The Aldrani had always believed that the sun was their birthright, that they had come out of it, like a baby from a mother, like a lamb from a sheep. Anything and everything was born from the bursting, boiling flames of the sun, and everything died the same. Whenever they huddled around the campfires, they spoke with kindness, they felt linked to their God, it was present in front of them. It was this link that allowed them to live, to prosper, and it was this link that killed them. After all, flames died out. All it took was a breath, they knew that, and they were very careful. They swore never to let another's breath, another’s interference to cause them to die out. They were strong, brave, courageous, like the flame that had birthed them. Often, while running into the heat of battle, they would pray to never die, to never be snuffed. When conversing with the people that didn’t believe in their God, they saw that they did not hold this flame, they did not have the right to live amongst their world. The most religious of them would often get very angry, the flames growing bright inside them, flaring, almost forcing them to lash out, to stop this evil trying to snuff the candle, to destroy the wick that held them high. The Followers of Aldrani were, in the minds of others, a barbaric religion. In their own minds, they were only a flame that would not be distinguished, that would keep fighting until the end. They valued themselves a lot, possibly too much. They were often self-centered, often only caring for themselves, their own survival. It was only if they were instructed by their God, if they were spoken to, given a sign, that they would do something for others. When making plans with one of this religion, it was often known that they would always look for part of a circumstance that could benefit them. They did not care much for the people who snuffed their religion, and thus caused anguish between them, often ending in war and death. But they could never let their flame go out, if they ever did, they had failed.

Skogri~ The Goddess Of The Forest/Trees/Nature

Greek-Legends-cover.jpg

Biblical Entry: The Followers Of Nature believed in an Eternal Mother, a mother that cared and loved for all. They were a peaceful religion, generally kind to all others. They believed in eternal peace and love, and admired the Elven trees, the beauty of the branches, the seductiveness of the leaves. They aspired to be everything like them, even though they were born with a body that they felt did not suit them. They wanted to be one with the bark, to fly like a bird, and to feel serenity all around them. The only problem was, that the other religions, were often fighting, killing, murdering. They chopped down their trees for their homes, their buildings, even, god forbid, their war machines. The Followers Of The Forest often spent the nights, before, in the middle of, and after a war crying into the bark of the trees, whimpering among the grass of the forests. What was next? A tree? A flower? A lizard? They couldn’t stand it, often some felt they needed to end their own lives, they couldn’t bear with the thought of all the things being murdered for Gods that didn’t care for them, they only cared about the spoils, the riches of war. Of course, they forgave them. They couldn’t bear to kill, to fight. They could only hide and hope they would not be the ones to die next.

Becrios ~ Goddess Of Water/Streams

water_goddess.jpg

Biblical Entry: The water engulfed them all, it hid them, it protected them, it aided their quests. The Followers of Becrios, the follower, or, as the other religions named them, “The Followers Of The Screams”. Their Goddess had allowed them to live under the guidance of her rule, but for a cost. She must hear the screams of one of the other religions every night, she must hear it all around her, in the solitude of her unearthly brain. And where better to do this than in the lakes surrounding them? Each and every midnight, the followers of this religion, mainly women, would lure the daft men that often fished and culled to them, seducing them with the most beautiful woman in their ranks, given the title of (Norse Word For Beauty), then drowning them in the lakes. Often, the other followers got jealous, why weren’t they the most beautiful woman? Why couldn’t they seduce the man? This caused tension among their ranks, and often, being beautiful could mean your demise. Although there was this great risk, you couldn’t be the most beautiful lady without having a death warrant on your head, most of them still killed for the position. Like the Followers Of Flame, they were self centered, they desired to be noticed, to be seen. They felt so happy when they tempted these men into the depths, they were doing the job that their mistress had asked of them, and they felt beautiful at the same time. It was a win-win situation, except, of course, for the man that had been thrown to the depths. This religion was more centered on women, rarely was a man ever to follow it, and those who did were never allowed to fulfill the role that Becrios had given them. This often sent them insane, and they were often booted from the ranks of their religion, or did disastrous things. That was not in the Mistress’s best wishes, she asked for one scream, not many.

Baldri ~ God Of The Day/Light

images.jpg

Biblical Entry: Sharing their love of the sun, the day, with the Aldranians, they were the closest to them in belief, although their nature was different. They imagined the Sun as a kind and bountiful thing, not one that needed or thrived on the wars of their kind. They had always believed that their God was there to provide the world with the gifts of the light, the day and the things that lived on the day. For example, the crops that they harvested, the animals that they ate. They believed that everything was provided by Baldri, that he created the Sun to help him, that he was not part of it. The Sun was messenger, his worker and through this action of creating the Sun saved and allowed the people of Asulon to live and prosper. This was also where they differed from the Alendranians. They didn’t focus their beliefs on the Sun, just what it provided, and mainly from whom it was given. It was their Baldri that did this, and they were forever thankful. He lived, and watched them, and when they needed things, they would help him. After all, he had provided everything they lived on, everything they lived for. They were generally a kind and thoughtful race, valuing the daytime, and keeping safe at night. They feared darkness, and what lay out of sight within it. They desired everything to be lit up, everything to be obvious to them. This is where their libraries came from, their desire of knowledge. They were known as the smartest religion because of this, this God that wanted light to be shed on everything and everything, for his people to not be stuck in darkness any longer.

Bragia ~ Goddess of The Arts

minervas.jpg

Biblical Entry: She was said to create the songbirds, said to write the poetry, and create the songs. Her followers either followed her for sheer admiration of beauty, or to learn and show off wonderful art prowess. This very frequent admiration of beauty caused this religion to be extremely kind. They were often seen smiling, grinning. It was a trait that was seen in everyone that followed Bragia, they looked to the skies and saw themselves, beautiful, courageous, strong. They saw other people for what they were inside, beautiful and unique people. This knack of knowing what people were really like on the inside sometimes startled them, sent them over the edge. They saw monsters, seething and glowing beasts that were so horrid that they were not human anymore. Often, seeing these people that were so twisted would cause them to feel so mad, so angry at the world, that they would lose mental stamina, begin to go insane. Why had Bragia allowed these freaks of nature to walk among the beautiful things? It was this though that often twisted Bragians to do unthinkable things, to become this evil beast that they were so afraid of. Bragians were known to be either happy, jovial and writing poetry, songs and creating paintings that were so beautiful that they knew that Bragia herself admired it, most of them were. Most. But a few of them felt angry that Bragia allowed evil, disgusting things into the world, that they became evil themselves. They were generally an extremely happy, a religion with not a care in the world. Most of them only cared about producing beauty, admiring beauty, and creating things that showed that they were artists, that they could paint the world. The few Dark Bragians that there were generally stayed inside, out of the “light”. It was so people could not see what they had become, and they could not see the darkness of other people, the darkness of the other religions.

Forsetun ~ God Of Justice

Var1.jpg

Biblical Entry: The Forsetians were either loved or hated. They brought justice unto the land, for their God desired that everyone be treated like they should be. A bad man should be locked away, a good man should be treated with care. They despised criminals, and sought to gain political rights to lock them away. The nation would be better without them, the nation would prosper with the villains locked away, serving their time in accordance to their sins. The Forsetuns were often political leaders, members of council, or Guards. Everyone of those positions allowed them to fill their role, the role that Forsetun had given them. It was their job to make the world right, and anything they could do to accomplish that goal made them happy. Whether it be something minor, or something that involved lives, they would have it dealt with, they would deal justice. This was where this love or hate attitude that was aimed at them accumulated from. Those who were locked away hated them, but those who were continuosly saved and helped by the honour that their God had bestowed upon them, loved them to pieces. They were seen as people who kept the world right, that kept the people of the nation safe. Without the Forsetians, the people would never sleep safely, for fear of villains, dangerous people among them. They often felt linked to their God, following his orders, when they helped the world.

Cyning ~ King Of The Gods

odin-2.jpg

Biblical Entry: He is said to bear the power of the Gods in only his left hand. He is said to possess the powers of all of them. Generally, powerful people followed him, in admiration of immense power, and for want of this power. He was said to have a direct link to leaders. Kings, queens, they were said to be able to converse with him. It was often that was the most desirable quality of a King. He was rumoured to be able to converse with the one being that could shape Asulon into whatever he wanted it to be. Some Kings went insane with greed at this connection, they literally exploded due to this immense power that they tried to contain within themselves. Kings learnt that they could never hold this power, and were then tested to see if they could bear and withstand greed and temptation. Very few Kings ever died or went insane with greed because of these tests that political members put them through. It was different in earlier years though. Cyning was said to bring balance to the world, that he created the evil things to balance the good. Without evil, there was no good, without good, evil didn’t exist. Cyning is wise, powerful and a good leader. It is these qualities that he searches for in his disciples. The Kings and Queens admire Cyning, because he is merely a bigger, more powerful, version of themselves.

Governmental Hierarchy:

Emperor: He will lead this country and help it every step of the way whether it is planning construction for new buildings, hiring more workers, taking care of financial problems he can step into and help.

Dukes: They will be heroic and own land in the kingdom usually leading a guild or a town with vast amount of experience each duke will be provided with a seat in the council.

Constable: This is the head of the military, he will make sure that any time his troops are ready for battle and he will plan out any attacks when we are at war

Minister of Diplomacy: He will connect with all nation leaders on a personal level and try to establish alliances and even declare war when it is absolutely necessary.

Merchants: They will sell their wares through out the city.

Labourers: This is anyone who does manual labour and gathers materials. This is the average citizen and they are the real back-bone of the empire.

Vikings: Instead of the normal bandits you would see in other nation here we have vikings a mix of orcish and human personality into one person these are the scum of the nation.

All about Dukes

Benefits of being a Duke:

-A place you can call home in the heart of our capital

-You can ask for any resources and they will be given to you with a discount price

-You will have a seat in the council of Artharia

-All military personal will treat you with high levels of respect

-You can ask any guards to escort you while you go through dangerous territory

Responsibilities of a Duke

-You will need to take care of your own personal group of footmen and archers

-You have to make sure that your men are always well equipped

-Your men have to be experience and if they are not they should be trained

-Your men should always be ready to get called out on a mission

The Enticing Culture of the Nordic Vikings

We have all seen and heard of bandits but these hollow mountain bandits and bandits that say minas or die they are pathetic and weak compared to the vikings. These vikings laugh at their pity while they drink from the skulls of their captured.

Behavior: They are fierce warriors that have honor as the most important thing to them they hunt their enemies down and skin them while they are alive then they continue to proceed to hang you up to show their winnings along the lines of hunters that put up moose heads or deer heads on the wall to show their fine catch, well this is what they do. Some skulls they use as beakers and drink out of them. Their weapons contain bones as they think it is a very strong material especially if it is from a healthy man this is why in a battle they always aim for the toughest and biggest enemy to show that they have no fear and to make the strongest tools as well as weapons.

Language: Most vikings do not know any language they talk through actions whether it is through head-butting you or through giving you the most pressuring hug you have ever felt. They will have different words for Chieftan and pray but most of the time they will not talk but show you through their actions which most of the time are not nice.
