I am your typical 16 year old kid. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling, singing and playing various video games.

In excess of 36 hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

I have roleplayed for a fair while now, so I know a fair bit. To me, Roleplaying is reprising the role of a character and acting as you would if you were them. Esentially reacting as your character would and just allowing yourself to become this character, even if only for a short while.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

The majority of my Roleplay experience lies in a multitude of Minecraft RP servers. I find Minecraft to be one of my favourite outlets of RP.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-gaming is the act of obtaining OOC information IC. So esentially, if I was told the coordinates to someone's base I wouldn't be able to act on this information IC. It could also be getting information my character wouldn't know but then continuing to exploit it anyway. Like if someone said they had a weak ankle OOC and I proceeded to RP attacking their ankle when I had previously never known.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power-gaming is giving your character unfair advantages in RP that average people don't For instance, if I was to join the server and was about to be killed I wouldn't be able to say,: "I'm a god, therefore I'm invincible. You may cry as I smite you". Or something of the like. It can also be a means to do something without RP first, like if I was to capture a player without fair warning. In simpler terms it's doing something powerful or unfair, without allowing RP to take place, or tipping the balance of RP in my favour when it really shouldn't

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect this server to be a vast RP server that will deliver where many others have failed previously.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played: From Ashes, The Aftermath, Kingdom of Aeonis, The Vault Rp and Fallout Rocketeers. I left these servers because most died or were lacking players and/or RP.

Yes, I have read the rules, I understand the rules and I agree to the rules

How did you hear about us?:

I have a few friends that play here and they all suggested that I join them. I had applied here previously but was denied for a few reasons, the biggest of which being an inappropriate username, I have now purchased a new Minecraft account with the express purpose of playing here, (dedication!).

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Tiernen is 100 years old.

Tiernen is 6ft 1" with blonde hair and blue eyes. Most of Tiernen's family state he looks most similar to his father although he inherited his mother's blue eyes. On Tiernen's journey back he has a long scar from where he was attacked by a spider. He prefers to keep his scar covered at all times so no one knows that he has a weakness.

He is generally a fairly kindhearted person although he can be slightly xenophobic as a result of his heritage. He often finds it difficult to understand the feelings of those around him because of decades of near total isolation. Tiernen is slightly less racist than others in his society because of the dwarf and human who helped him when he was in mortal peril along his journey. Tiernen has an irrational hatred of Orcs as he believes they are the source of many problems due to their low intelligence.

Tiernen Ningaeardir was born to two Pure Blood High Elf parents where he was subjected to an early

life of education from his parents. By all accounts, Tiernen's life was fairly normal for a high elf. He received all the basic things a High Elf young-ling could need, whilst still retaining a happy early life. When Tiernen was 50 something unexpected happened, his mother died. His mother was fairly old, so she died of natural aging processes. This devastated Tiernen's father, and his father was banished from High Elf society for consorting with escorts from other races.

Almost 50 years later, Tiernen was still appalled at his father's behavior and began a journey of self-discovery and education as we wandered through Asulon. Tiernen knew that this may mar his reputation, but he felt compelled to wander, explore and most of all. Learn. His journey was hard because of the inbred xenophobic traits of High Elves, he wasn't often able to bring himself to ask other races for assistance as he felt himself too superior for that. When Tiernen was 100, so about 50 years after leaving he decided to re-integrate himself into High Elven culture. So on that note, Tiernen began the long journey back to his fellow people.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Tiernen plans on trying to re-integrate into High Elven society after decades of journeying and self discovery with more knowledge than he had before. Upon re-integration into High Elven society and still being relatively young, Tiernen plans to educate himself and gather more knowledge. Tiernen has yet to decide what he wants to do with his life and is not quite sure what to do with his job.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Tiernen's favourite tool is the hoe, because Tiernen enjoys gardening and raising various herbs. Tiernen also enjoys the hoe because he feels like it has the most uses, it can not only give life to plants but can be used to take life if used properly.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

One of Tiernen's most skilled talent is definitely herbalism. Upon his travels he also became fairly proficient at using his sword and his bow. Tiernen enjoys how peaceful farming is and how it keeps his mind off of things other than the task at hand.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

*Tiernen is deep in his thoughts as he wanders away from the Cloud Temple, when the noise of conflict abruptly releases him from the sanctuary of his mind* "Give us your stuff, you dirty halfling or you're going going to get it!" says the bigger of the two armed thugs roughly. As the halfling tries to resist, Tiernen, briefly considers helping the poor creature. When Tiernen finally realizes his effort would only be in vain he turns around and tries to be inconspicuous. Tiernen briefly considers whether he made the right decision and comes to the conclusion he would've helped had the victim been a High Elf.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Tiernen slowly blinks in surprise as he realizes the merchant is addressing him. "Er.. hello sir, I was wondering by chance if you had any growth solution and fertilizer for my herbs?", Tiernen asks hopefully. The merchant briefly surveys the elf in front of him before breaking out into a smile. "Of course we do, my friend! Take your pick!" the merchant happily roars with his arms outstretched. Tiernen selects his wares and drops a few Minas into the merchants outstretched hand. Tiernen nods his head in an unspoken acknowledge of thanks and departs from the stall.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Tiernen wanders through the wilderness aimlessly when he suddenly comes across an abandoned shack. He looks around cautiously to make sure that there are no people in the surrounding area. He slowly enters the shack, his sword at the ready and opens the chest. Upon inspection, he discovers some iron bars and a golden sword. He leaves the golden sword because of it's inferiority as a weapon and instead loads the iron bars into his rucksack to sell later. With his bag considerably heavier Tiernen walks out of the hut with a smile on his face and begins making his way back to civilization to sell his new found wares.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Hungry and tired Tiernen hopelessly wanders around the wilds until he stumbles upon a trading camp. "'Ey there, friend, you look lost!", one of the traders asks, looking concerned. "Hello there, my name is Tiernen Ningaeardir and I am starving. Could you give me some food?" Tiernen asks, his voice weak from hunger. Tiernen offers some Minas to encourage the traders to give some food his way. Silently the trader accepts the Minas and hands Tiernen some food. After devouring the food with the fervor of one who is starving, Tiernen now being satisfied departs without saying a word to the traders and heads back on his way.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Tiernen is sitting against a tree poring over some High Elf literature when he is approached by a party of unfamiliar faces. "Who exactly are you?" Tiernen asks suspiciously, peering over his scroll at the armed men. "We are the town guard and we require your assistance, there will be a reward", the one Tiernen concludes is the leader replies. After brief consideration Tiernen replies: "I'm not much help in a fight and I am currently unarmed" The guards briefly look at Tiernen with what could have been disdain and walk the other way. Leaving Tiernen alone again with the sounds of birds and his literature.
