Space 2335 Share Posted August 20, 2012 If you challenge that, then I challenge you to find some form of evidence that 100% proves that they don't exist, and don't use the 'I don't have to prove it, only disprove that it exists!' excuse of every athiest I have come across. :P The fish that are gaining legs in Australia over the years so that they can hunt better or something. rukio 8924 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Nah, http://www.differencebetween.net/science/nature/difference-between-adaptation-and-evolution/ there you are. Oh, and I ask again, where is your missing link?
Izo (charles/Sealhorn) 16 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Adaption is evolution. ^this all organisms adapt and mutations and sexual reproduction causing various permutations(note the root word) in each successive generation, across generations and typically stretches of time beyond human reasoning, these varied changes (and a bit of plain luck) can cause the proliferation of some organisms, if these organisms develop in some fashion isolated from other organisms of the same species, they can over time become different enough to no longer be capable of interbreeding with the other members of what was once their species now since they can no longer breed with those other members(under natural circumstances), they are no longer a member of that species(we do have the ability to cross species through science), once no longer a member of the initial species the resultant proliferated population is a separate and unique species that is in a family with the group it split off from it's the theory that is currently most logical and well supported (thousands upon thousands of "missing link" species discovered later), the secret to its function is just plain time and the process has been observed by humans in faster reproducing species, thus the only real argument that could be made against all evolution would be challenging the age of life/earth, which I've seen nobody do thus far @the person asking that somebody disprove god, it's a logical fallacy and one often drilled into children, not even an atheist and I find it silly that people use that >_>
rukio 8924 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Adaptation and evolution are like climate and weather. Short term and long term. :

rukio 8924 Share Posted August 21, 2012 So if I write a book saying what my missing link is with no proof you'll believe it? Pfft, I might, you never know . If you believe in Lucifer (going by your signature), then how can you not believe in some form/type of 'god'? The two tend to go together it seems. Of course, it could just be that you just like the picture, in which case my question no longer matters. I use the 'disprove it' argument not because I was taught that, but rather, if you cannot prove something and cannot disprove it, theres no evidence for either side (kinda the point of faith.) It wasn't all that long ago we couldn't prove that germs existed, look how long it took for humans to discover gravity, air, ect. Just because you cannot see/know something is there right now, doesn't mean technology will never be able to prove it. Even if it never does, oh well. xDD

The ONLY way god could be proven is if he came down to earth all called all us cripz walking dank ass aethiedts dumb. Sience COULD prove Evolution. Also, you're not a thiest if you think there isn't enough evidence to prove either, you're agnostic. Also also, you may know him as Lucifer, but I call him Dad. danic 352 Share Posted August 21, 2012 ... Are you serious? How are you basing your beliefs off of no proof? What? No logic or anything? Not even half baked theories? Many of humanity simply do not need proof. Religion has kept our race going and hopeful for millenniums. Some truly believe that life can't be THIS bad or THIS good that it's actually a trial or gift from some magical being. And then others believe in science, logic, and reasoning. I personally believe in these three things. If something happens, there is always some scientific reasoning behind this, that we may just not know yet. I'm going to say this, Evolution did happen. The facts are hard and there, and if you deny these facts you haven't actually read up on them. But that does not disprove religion. Who's to say a unknown being just started cooking it up and letting life do its thing? Because that's all life is; A recipe, waiting to be cooked and served. Throw in some of this and that and BAM. You got yourself a steaming bowl of primordial soup.
