In your own words, define what the act of Roleplaying is: Roleplaying is when you are no longer yourself playing through a character. You must become the character and live as if you are him/her and there is no controller. You can control the things he does but he must act the way the character would, not how you would. They way you act must be decided how your character would act not how you would.

In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is: Meta gaming is using OOC information IC. It is using information that your character would not know had you not “granted” him the knowledge.

In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is: Powergaming is performing an act during roleplay that gives you an unopposable upper hand above everyone you are rping with. It is giving yourself an unfair advantage over eveyone else without giving them a chance to fight back, retaliate, or continue to rp.

Character Name: Bruin Starbreaker

What Race are you?: Dwarf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Cave Dwarf

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Before: Bruin is a laid back, easy going, joking, drunk. Along with his brother Irin, he has been lost since the siege of Kirrak Rikkaz and together they strive to reunite with their father. Being together with Irin alone for so long, Bruin has come to realise how much Irin tries to forget their family, perhaps the pain of loss is too much for him. So Bruin tries to brighten up his life, by together drinking and brawling their way through Asulon. It gives Irin something to do and reminds him that even if they are apart from their father and clan, the bond of brotherhood will never die. It has been a good eighty years since their disappearance but hope shimmers in their eyes as they come across what they think may be their hearty kin, the Starbreaker Clan.

Now

Now Bruin lives wherever his brother and father go. His only possessions are his Maul, which is constantly being "upgraded" by his great smith father, whenever he feels Bruin is able. He lives in the new Capital or at Kal Dwain, wherever his father goes, drinking and eating his way though life. He is slowly learning to become a smith like his father and to be able to master his Maul. He is a slow learner, but slowly but surely he will hopefully eventually become a respected smith and decent warrior.

What is your Character's ambitions?: To continue to live by his brother's and his clan's side in a......relative amount of peace. He wishes for happiness for him and his brother and so that they may never be divided again.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Bruin turns his head to Irin, standing next to him and nudges him with his right elbow. He holds his maul with his right hand, leaning it on his right shoulder. He beckons his head towards to the troubled halfing, his eyes asking for Irin's opinion of the next course of action. Irin's face remains serious. he nods and they both walk over to the two armed warriors.

" 'Ey yoo! Why dunnae come over 'ere? See uf ye can 'arass us ya stuck up wee bastards!"

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Bruin leans with his elbow on the counter of the low stall and rests his head on his fist. He looks up at the well-dressed man, licking his lips a little bit, his braided beard moving with every movement of his mouth.

"What ye sellin' 'ere?"

"Trinkets, odds and ends, that sort of thing."

Looks at him with dismay, but with a tiny glimmer of hope he asks:

"No ale?"

The well-dressed man laughs and shakes his head.

"No if you want ale, you'd be better off going down to the tavern."

Bruin's face lights up with excitement. He turns Irin, his eyebrows raised as if to ask "Can we?". Irin shakes his with his constant stern expression.

"Look. We're 'ere ta do e job, try ta learn ta concentrate on somethin' other than ale FER ONCE in yer life."

"And ye need ta learn 'ow ta live a little an'... be more like me."

Irin shakes his head and walks off towards the blacksmith, Bruin following close behind, mocking his every move.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Bruin kneels down by the chest and begins rummaging through it. He picks up the gold sword and chucks it behind, he then does the same with the iron bars. He is clearly looking for something. He throws some other pieces of random junk behind him, digging through the chest like a dog digs the ground. Irin walks up behind him and picks up the sword. He inspects it and leans it on the wall of the hut.

"Wha' ta hell ye doin'?"

"Lookin' fer.....lookin fer ale."

Bruin continues rummaging through the chest. Irin proceeds to grabs him by the scruff of his shirt, pull him and drag him outside so they can continue with their travels.
