Ooc: Chest Password Made Public On Forum

A player recently revealed the password that we've been using for several of our chests openly on a forum thread that was being viewed by several players. If you have access to such things than you can probably guess the one that was most commonly used. Whoever has permissions to those chests is going to need to either re-protect them or move the contents into other protected chests as soon as possible. I believe some of them were locked by UltraRed, who is not currently active.

This is just a precautionary measure in case there are players with access to the region that we do not necessarily trust with access to the bulk of our nation's supplies. And of course there are, new players, etc.

Edit: Also, might double-check our doors and whatnot to our gates and entryways. Anything you can find that's password-protected. I'm about to get to bed but I'll start checking up on things in the morning.

I hope no un-trustworthy people come along and take your resources. I know I am one player, and I only have around 40 diamonds, but if they are stolen, I can give you around 20.

That's the ironic thing, all of our diamonds and ore are perfectly safe elsewhere. I have no idea what chest he was talking about that was "well-stocked" with supplies and all these "spawned" diamonds, as most of our major gear is kept in our own clan storages. The War Uzg storage is mostly equipment to pass out to the grunts and we haven't maintained any real decent gear in those chests for months now, as everyone would always take it for themselves. :P

You go ahead and peek in our clan chests and tell us what hacks we are. Half that came out of our own pockets, the rest we bought in blood.

So we don't keep exposing the poison that was in the post that revealed our password I would ask that we NOT post it here. While I'm no one special I don't think we should keep bringing the post up to everyone, it was not appropriate to post it in the first place.

I'll be renovating the War Uzg storage today, which I was wanting to do anyway. The passwords there have already been removed via /modreq. Once I get the room rebuilt, we'll figure out what our new password is going to be.

There may still be other chests, doors and whatnot throughout the War Uzg that need to be reset. I'll be scouting around periodically to try to find them all. If anyone's bored, feel free to do so as well. Ideally, I'd like to just get a list down of them all and either have Mogroka clear them or do a /modreq and handle it all in one fell swoop, so we don't clog the GMs up with onesies and twosies. I just figure it's best that we don't take any chances, as we're already pretty lenient about who we give region permissions to.

Edit: And no more public referencing of the incident or parties involved. Let's just handle these chests and we can talk discretely on Team Speak or through PM.

Yes, but we're pretty generous about who we give region permissions to. New orcs particularly, as well as workers or other players that live with us. We don't necessarily want every new orc that wanders in and needs to cut down some trees having access to our entire vault. That was the reason for the passwords to begin with.

Admins or GMs can override the lock, and could remove it. Then we could just re lock it, also if you need help renovating, then i'll help you. I'm free today.

UltraRed is banned someone will have to relock all the chests and make a modreq for someone to come unlock it all.

Personally I have always been in favor of privately locked chests with names added as is necessary. Give access to those that need access and let them act as the medium between which others can drop off and pick up needed supplies.

However, understanding my opinion is in the minority, I think we don't need to worry about future mishaps like this. Not saying they won't potentially happen, but our losses here were minimal at best thanks to wide distribution of storage. Also thanks to a shortage of diamond supplies for use by the War Uzg in general.

Which reminds me... if someone can manage to get a hole on some diamonds for the War Uzg, it would be much appreciated. Diamond armor is needed, but we also need just flat diamonds for repairs.

Lol i know that, but I mean for general War Uzg use, not personal clan stores. People ask me "Hey Blawharag can you repair my armor" and I have to respond "Not if it's diamond". I don't want to have to make that my immediate response, we need diamonds for the War Uzg proper.
