W'it t'e return 'o Bazian, 'e 'as stepped down as t'e clan leader and 'as taken 'is place as t'e clan elder. In t'e comin' weeks, we will be trackin' down t'e survivin' blood related member o' t'e clan and will be unitin' back in t'e Dwarven Kingdom o' Mount Ire. - Morgrim Blackaxe _______________________________________________ -=Clan Information=- The Mountain Dwarves of Kal'Domhain, otherwise known as the Blackaxe Clan is one of the oldest clans of the Dwarves, having been founded during the rule of the Mad King Charles Grimlie. Despite being loyal to the Dwarven nation, they act largely independently from the other Dwarven clans and during many periods in their history, have found themselves in conflict with Dwarven Kings. Born out of a rebellion against King Charles, they continue to stay loyal to their brothers above all else. However, since Decks's death and the passing on of leadership to the eldest son of Decks, Bazian Blackaxe, the clan has begun to integrate itself into Dwarven society once again. Political figures in the Dwarven government begun to emerge such as Valen Blackaxe, former Grand Councilor of Kal'Urguan and Balthar Blackaxe, High Lord of Karik, redeeming the Blackaxe name in the eyes of many Dwarves. While the Blackaxe Clan continues to stick to it's old roots, they now have far more of a say in Dwarven politics. Blackaxes have shown themselves to be shrewd diplomats but at the same time, bloodthirsty warriors to face on the battlefield. While they will show honour and respect to all who earn it, they are often known to independently act upon their clan leader's orders, often raiding guilds and settlements, if they deem that they deserve it. However, a Blackaxe will very rarely kill without reason and they are known throughout the Dwarven kingdom to be some of the most brave and courageous of all Dwarves in protecting their homeland. Now under new leadership and with a fiery will to rebuild their clan from the ashes of it's old existence, the Blackaxe clan now stands strong in defending the Dwarven Kingdom. _______________________________________________ -=Lore and History=- Durin' tha ages of tha war between tha Mad King Charles and Oren, Father Decks lived in tha 'alls of Kal'Urgaun with 'is t'ree sons; Bazian, Valen, and Flynn. Durin' tha time, we where still very young and didn't know much of tha world. We where all bore from different mothers which names even Father Decks didn't know of, as 'e spent a good deal of time drinkin' and whatnot. Yet, 'e was a 'ard workin' dwarf and was loyal to 'is family. Decks loved 'is drinkin'. 'e prided 'imself on 'ow much 'e could drink whenever 'e went ta tha tavern with 'is younger brothers, Grady and Gulik. They loved that tavern and all tha ale that came with it. Tha brothers would go and sing songs of ale and war and 'ave a good time. But ever since tha war broke out, they where less than merry. They 'ated tha idea of tha war with tha 'umans. Decks loved war as much as tha next dwarf, but fightin' without a cause didn't seem right to tha brothers. They'd 'ead ta tha tavern and drink themselves stupid. They would talk of 'ow tha war be pointless and should be stopped. Of course them bein' drunk couldn't possibly see tha 'arm in thar actions. Decks, bein' tha eldest, would be moar bold in 'is speeches, goin' as far as treason towards tha king. Once King Charles 'eard word of these anti-war talks, 'e was infuriated. Later that night, two guards showed up at tha tavern with a warrant for Decks' arrest, dead or alive. Luckily, tha dwarves in tha tavern whar on Decks side, from tha numerous speeches 'e gave against tha king. Tha tavern quickly turned into a 'uge bar fight. This gave tha diversion that Decks needed ta flee Kal'Urgaun. So Decks marched out inta tha unrelentin', frozen wastelands of tha north. 'ere in tha 'igh mountians, Decks made 'is new 'ome dubbed Kal'Domhain. He nods his head before picking up a parchment and quickly scribing down some Dwarven letters onto it.* "Aye, t'e reformation o' t'e clan an' Bazian's return will mean t'at any Blackaxe will be welcomed back int' t'e kingdom again.
