After going inside and making a quick brew of tea you decide to view the letter by the warmth of your fire. Upon releasing its contents you notice the familiar format of The Hochmeister's letter to the people. The letter reads . . .

Hello my loyal people of Hanseti,

As many of you already know, Asulon is afflicted with a deadly plague. The contagion has wiped out whole cities and villages of many, killing indiscriminately with its victims and decimating developing settlements. As time passes the northern lands grow more infested and have become overly compromised with the disease. As time passes more and more men, women and children suffer and perish. As time passes the south, Hanseti, is becoming one of the only places where the population is highly unaffected and secure from The Plague.

By my order I have called for the complete barricade and lock down of Hanseti's borders. To combat and secure our lives and the lives of our families, all movement in and out of the realm is strongly disapproved, nearing illegal. We cannot risk a single infected or carrier into the masses of our peoples, to do so will plunge the world into a lost beacon of no hope and despair. It is all our duties to ensure the future of Asulon

As your Hochmeister I have done much that is in my power to prevent such a tragedy from taking hold of our lands. Hopefully you all have one of the gifts I offer to all, TAC Masks. It is important that you all wear them when leaving your homes or gathering in large groups or crowds. It would not be wise to risk harming yourself or others, wear your mask for the sake of us all. If you have not received a mask, please find the nearest Sariant and request one. With proper usage of the TAC Masks we can prevent over 80% of the possibility of infection among our people if any instance were to occur of the infection breaching our borders.

As for the borders, I have ordered upgraded patrols along the northern face of our nation. I do have had The Maw shutdown and the gate controls disabled, preventing individuals from compromising the populace. However, The Teutonic Order still makes trips out into the infection to secure those whom have not been exposed and bring them to the safety of our frozen fields and warm fires. I have made it one of my top priorities to aid and prevent this plague from killing more. TAC Mask designs have been issued to those who can mass produce them and distribute them far better than I. I have ordered the establishment of the Fickloch Refugee Settlement on Fickloch Island off the coast of the Eye of Hanseti.

Those of whom are brought in by our Saraints from the infected lands in the north, they are transported through routes that do not compromise the Hansetian populace and to the Island of Fickloch. There I have had homes and recreational facities built as well as a fortified cap for protection. I advise you all, citizens of Hanseti, to not visit that island. Though Fickloch is heavily secure, those contained within could be carrying The Plague and exposure to the Refugees could destroy our safety.

As of now, I have ordered Phase Two of Operation Black Curtain into effect. Though I cannot reveal the full planning and intent of the project, I can inform that it will ensure our complete safety and progression as a nation. Such lock down will be lifted within our lifetimes, long after The Plague has ceased to be a problem for the inhabitants of Asulon. If you know of citizens whom are currently outside of our borders, I suggest that you get a message to them as soon as possible. Unfortunately I cannot be has lenient of those trapped outside for too long and will be forced to bar all whom have been trapped out of our borders.

I along with The Teutonic Order, are doing as much as we can to ensure your well being whilst aiding the poor outside of our realm. Please do your part by wearing your mask, maintaining stability and refraining from visiting Fickloch and the lands north of our mighty mountains. If any of you wish to aid the nation further, there are a number of opportunities. Speak with your local Landmeister or Gross Ranked official for details on work in your city. You can also join The Teutonic Order and directly combat the destructive plague and future evils that may inhabit Asulon. The Order will be happy to take in all forms of able citizens, from skilled warriors to intelligent scholars with the common work man in between. Together we can survive this plague, together we can make a stand for the future and ensure that there is a tomorrow for the hopeful, the stricken, and the ailed. We are Hanseti!

Sir, I can only hope this plague doesn't reach us, and know that you have made the right call, you've done much for Asulon in these grim days and I can only hope this changes the hearts of the masses.
