I don't have a right to play this server, but I have a right to my religion without it being screwed up in my face and thrown back at me. I have a right to state my concerns against it. I have an obligation to inform you of the rediculous and massive stereotype that you wish to use which has already been washed, rinsed and reused countless times again and again. This goes into another argument, why shouldn't you do it if others have done the same? Because, that is like saying, children are being exposed to more and more sexual imagery on tv so why can't we just air porn on tv at before watershed times. Just because others have taken it doesn't mean you have to do the same. As for some other questions, you shouldn't be just taking concepts from real life religions and then just changing it yet still keeping the names and all. There is still meaning behind those names and symbols. I'm fine with your bloody concepts but you are RAPING the very meanings of those words by slapping them on top of another meaning. Like if someone was to make Christmas about sacrificing. That would be wrong in every way, well the same is going on here. We shouldn't have to go and take things from real life and hardly change it and not see another problem here as well... Originality. The image has been replayed countless times already in many games and books, feeding on the stereotypes bollarks and hardly doing anything different. Well, another reason why this is such on lotc would be that lotc tries to make people go out of their way to make lore more original. That is why we haven't accepted vampires and werewolves, because they are not original and their concept is powergaming at best. So yes, you can say: well he has done this, she done that... What have you done though? Because really that is what should matter here... Not what others have done. ErcMan013 13 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Couple Things: Number One: I think both the Haruka clan and the Miyuchi clan should be used. The Haruka for Elf's and humans the Miyuchi for Orc's and dwarfs (even if dwarfs are not "magic" users). This seams more fitting. Number Two: You mention a ability to send a wave of Chi out, does this mean like a Force Push type of deal? Does this mean I could practice and train hard enough to be able to use a "Kami-Hami-Ha" type of move? Number Three: I agree with some of these people, I think there needs more weaknesses, even if you could get the jump on them and kill them, you would need a good Rper to not be like " I keep my Chi always store up for use" That might be an issue. Keep the name of your magical power to Chi, as it is the most fitting. And Blundermore.. Let other people have magic, there is not only 1 kind of magic, and also. I see how this would be fun and I really want to take part of it if it's going to be something. Though I got a few ideas to make it more relaxed. Oh and I think you should respect Blundermores look on this. It's true, I think he's overreacting a bit. But he finds it as an insult to his religion or life path. Though this isn't ment as an actual insult and they're only fascinated by the view of things. Only sharing the same kind of passion for it. Just in another way. Because of this, we cant have both clans, either way, the clans are both either elves are humans, or half elves due to their common ancestry. Second, yes, if you train hard enough you would be able to release a burst of Chi in a selected area in a type of "force push" and if you really, really try hard, I suppose there would be nothing wrong with a ultra powerful move akin to kame hame ha, though this would have to be kept in check and made sure not to powergame. Finally, we of course will make sure not to powergame. Anyone let in will /have/ to know what their limits are. As you are training, you wont be nearly as powerful, and we will make sure people are always at the top of their game. Thank you for the support you are all giving, I love every ounce of it. Our role play will be based off of Feudal Japan and her beliefs, only adding in much more arrogance. We are building out dojo and more on this island and it is turning out very well. I was acting a wee bit immature replying about Dragon Ball Z, It was about 2:30 am and I haven't got much sleep this week (first week of summer). I could understand the fact of a Kami-Hami-Ha move if it really, and I mean /really/ took it out of them. It would make them so weak, and if they /missed/ they would most likely die in battle.
