Part of our role is to accept and deny magic lore on the server due to the fact we are trying to create consistency. Other than that, stay vigilant, stay in perimeters, allow other players through RP fights to critique your progress and be open-minded. Word of warning though, just because you may be able to push people back with this form of power doesn't mean that in RP you are doing Jedi force push where you push them 20+ metres... keep it realistic, you said it was a lot like fighting styles today.
