From what I have seen, this seems fine. Maybe discuss terms with the owner though. And it makes perfect sens for you to take this, why would you leave a potential threat on your doorstep, and make a watchtower farther away? I, think this is fine. I will notify Mogroka/Seventh.

He is looking at it at the time of this post so I'm sure we will see a verdict soon!

-snip-

Because it's illogical to have a closer, lower elevation tower surrounded by trees versus a higher elevation tower, farther away, free from trees?

The point of the warclaim is that they in-character believe it is in a tactical position. Whether it is or not, they believe this in-character, so they will do what it takes to take it. Realistically, there is not much you can do without using magic, I do agree. Since it wouldn't make sense for anyone to fight for a witch without out-of-character influence.

Everyone is arguing that the tower is empty. You can't say that it's a threat and that it's empty.

And you don't send ALL your troops to a watch tower. That's just silly.

Mind you, this is not a guild, or a faction but one or two people who live in the woods versus a town. It seems a out right shame to uproot someone's roleplay when the opposing faction has other options. How expensive is stone? It isn't that expensive of a resource to gather. Heck, if you came to the Nawari and requested it in roleplay I am sure they'd let you have a large sum of cobble, cause it's just flooding their coffers ;).

Silliness aside, my point lays in the utter lack of consent. It's not a nation, not a town, nor guild, it's a home for a couple of people. Seizing it seems a little bit more than unfair.

I never said all my troops. And if it is empty, there should be no problem taking it.

EDIT: I meant troops in general, not my troops. Hell, I ain't even a Dwarf. Smelly midgets...

Well, Brokencrowe, you're right, it is just a home for a few people. However, if you look at the conquest claims on other cities, towns, and villages, most of the time it is to remove them. Thus, destroying the homes of players. So, essentially all conquest claims are a "little more than unfair."

Also, as I've said again and again and again, we're not only in it for the fact that it's a tower in the woods. We'd like to create a square, connecting Ursakar to the Great Hall, the hall to the ruins and the ruins to the tower and finally, linking the tower to Ursakar. Creating a network of paths allowing the noble family to move freely without having to deal with whatever is going on up above.

My argument would be the same for them, but I have never really chosen to look into this forum before now. I think it's silly to be able to uproot people's roleplay without consent. And I understand your argument, but it's obviously upsetting Ever. You should make the choice that makes everyone happier and not just yourself. That's what roleplaying is all about, in my opinion. For the mutual benefit of all.

Like I said, discuss something via PMs, while keeping this warclaim up.

I tried to discuss giving it up without this war claim with Ever but he simply told me that neither he nor the real owner would give consent.

Well that sucks for him. You got Admin approval, and you have perfect RP to do this.

The discussion taking place, I feel, is very relevant to the war claim, and the war claim process in general. I find it overly harsh really, uprooting someone from their home, a place they've inhabited since late January. I can only sit back however, and wait for Mogroka's final word.
