Dreek 1633 Share Posted September 3, 2012 Is there an official accent for dwarves to use? If not, is there a commonly used one?
TheNander 241 Share Posted September 3, 2012 But no one lives there, basically.... The Grayhammer Clan is going to base themselves there as it fits our lore.
Nefarious Aus Shitpost 891 Share Posted September 3, 2012 Is there an official accent for dwarves to use? If not, is there a commonly used one? The dwarfen accent comes in various stages of thickness. Watch Kjell Ireheart (MC: Charles_Grimlie) to see a really thick dwarfen accent. The most important pointer(s) I can give would be firstly to drop all your "h"s simply by putting a ' in place of it, similarily, when using words that end with -ing, drop the "g" sounds. Finally, instead of saying 'no' and 'not' say Nae, for example: e.g. 'ello, 'ello, 'ello and 'ow are yer goin'? e.g. Nae. Ah willnae muuv. Other tips: '-ooh' sounds should be spelt with a -uu: move -> muuv And finally, speak grammatically incorrectly: HUMAN: "Has anyone seen my shoe?" DWARF: "'as 'nywun seen me shuu?" Also, while you may see it happen a lot, do NOT call anyone whose character is older or more important then your lad (male) or lass (female). It is disrespectful. Skippy 2466 Author Share Posted September 3, 2012 It's an optional move, Skippy It isn't optional. Hiebe says it is required.
Nefarious Aus Shitpost 891 Share Posted September 4, 2012 It isn't optional. Hiebe says it is required. It is required for Ironguts and Kal'Dwain citizens. It's up to Gulroid and Bazian if they want to force it on their respective populations.

Well that's dumb. If those dwarves want to live all alone in Kal'Anart of Alras, they ain't getting RP. ;)
