Wiki Invitation Code!

Hello everyone! For those of you who remember, a few months ago applications to our current Wiki opened up. We have an invitation code that was only given out to those who were accepted, but the code is now being made public, the reason being that we would like to see more interest in the wiki by you, the players. We also hope to entice those who are interested in helping new and old members learn of the lore in a much more easily accessible way.

All you have to do now is simply go to the wiki (link below) and register using the code. It takes less than a minute or two, so please make sure to do that! The wiki is a key source of information for new players and potential applicants, so having a Wiki with outdated information is the last thing we want. If you see anything that needs to be changed, from simple spelling/grammar mistakes to large amounts of missing information, feel free to make the necessary adjustments.

Also, keep in mind that some pages are NOT able to be edited by regular users. Besides the admin pages, these restricted pages are those that were made private by request. If you want permission to edit, contact me or another Wiki Admin (A few GMs have volunteered for the position) and we can tell you who is owner of the page.

When I get the chance, I can make a section under the Culture category that is used for player pages. After the page is set up, all you need to do in order to create your character's page is create a link to it using the format [[Page name|Displayed Text]]. For instance, for me I would use [[Druid Alan|Druid Alan]]. Note that you can only use basic letters for the Page Name, so no apostrophes or parenthesis, etc.

So what will be done if pages are "griefed" and edited either severely incorrectly on purpose or with profanity, etc.

As you said, the IP is seen simply by clicking on the person who edited the page. We can ban the IP, then revert back to the version of the page from before it was ruined. The admins and I literally monitor every single edition that is made, and any spammers or griefers don't stand a chance.

By request, a category was made for Character Pages. It is accessible on the Wiki home page, but here is a link just in case:

I actually set up an entirely different category just for Character Pages, as I described above. If you are wondering if you would see my name on the Wiki main page, then no, as the front page would be cluttered if everyone had their name on the page.

Either that or they did not approve of this idea being implemented. However, I believe this simple registration process will be a positive feature and will allow the Wiki Admins to track who does what more effectively.
